What to get

Hi everyone Im looking to get a sonos system for my whole house I am building.  Well at least for 90% of it.  Assuming budget really isnt an issue what you recommend for the following setup wants:I can wire ethernet to any spot as walls are completely open or I have many wired access points going in for WiFi.  My goal is to have the option of playing all zones with same music for parties or separate zones for daily kids/life etc.  Kitchen speakers Dining Speakers  Main living area( 14 ft ceilings and very large room) outdoor patio around pool as separate zone from covered patio.  garage Master bedroom surround system My main living area is probably going to have a 7.2 or 9.2 separate stand alone system for movies as I dont think the sonos is the best fir got dolby atmos given the large volume of ceilings/space.  But ill was thinking to put 2 or 4 sonos ceilings speakers in also to allow for the continuous and ease of use for large parties  Any suggestions on the this set up?   

Does the Beam make a big difference to dialogue on the T.V.?

Does anyone know if I can connect six (6) Sonance in-ceiling architectural speakers to one Amp? They are 8 ohms and 125 watts for the pair. These are the Best Buy Sonance 6 1/2” round in-ceiling speakers.  Thanks!

Hello,I am setting up a new system and would like some advice. I will be getting a sound bar and sub and would like to add two ceiling speakers to create a 5.1 sound system. Is that possible? As the sound bar does not have speaker wire input, how do I achieve this?Regards

All, New to Sonos... We bought two IKEA Symfonisk speaker and got the Arc for X-mas. Have them all connected and love them. I have a vast record collection and want to be able to connect my turntable to the Sonos network. I’ve read online and it seems nearly impossible save RasberryPi and I’m not tech savvy to even attempt. I’m willing to update my turntable or try bridging (RCA to HMI) or whatever. I’m looking for suggestions, ideas, some way for me to not have to add another set of speakers. Would buying a used Connect be an option with the newer speakers-is it even compatible? I’ve read the other posts but was hoping there is something else outside dropping another $500+ on another Sonos speaker. 

Hi.I’m based in the (UK) and having recently bought a Sonos Arc I now want to buy the best 60” TV to go with it. Does anyone already have this arrangement set up who can offer any advice on a 60” TV? I will probably use it with ROKU as the main source although also direct from TV.I will only be seated 2.5 metres from the wall mounted TV so think a 65” will be too big…. so 60” is the best size for me.Thanks 😊 

Hi,  I am planning to buy sonos in ceiling speakers and connect them to sonos amp. Can I also connect Sonos sub gen 3 to pair with these ceiling speakers using Sonos amp.Thanks in Advance 

I currently have a pair of Sonos One (2nd Gen) speakers acting as my stereo, and I’m looking to add a Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable. The Planar 1 Plus model has a phono pre-amp integrated already, but due to the wireless nature of the Sonos Ones I know I’ll likely need a Sonos Amp or Port to link the turntable in. I’m just enquiring as to what the most straightforward setup would be; I don’t want to invest in the Amp just to find I’ve missed a step and need some other component to make it work. Thanks

Can I install s2 app on an i phone

Hi there, im new to Sonos, so please have mercy with maybe stupid questions.Im about to move into another Appartment and want to upgrade my current sound System. Right now i have big Towers which are looking very ugly and i want to buy some sonos to make a more decent looking living room.So we are planning to be a lot in the garden and on the terrace so i thought of the Sonos Move.My thoughts are to buy a Sonos Playbar to be placed infront of the TV. On the right side a Sonos One SL and on the left side a Sonos Move. If i want to hear music outside i can just pick up the one Sonos Move and take it outside.Is this setup possible? Can i connect all 3 Together to my TV? Is the Sonos Move on the left side good enough for the right side Sonos One SL in sound comparison? Hopefully you can help me :-) 

Hello everyone, I have 30ft long by 15ft wide living room and I’m looking at adding an Arc, subwoofer and 2- One SL’s. The couch is about 12 feet from the tv/Arc, but the rear speakers will be 17 feet from the backs of the couch. Will the One SL’s be powerful enough to fill in the sound or do I need to step it up to 1 or 2 Fives?  with the size of the room will I have any latency issues with the sound being that spaced out? any suggestions would be great. I’d like to buy a new TV and a Sonos Arc, but will need to use them on top of a media cabinet, as wall mounting isn’t an option. However, the Arc is 3.4” tall, and the TV I want only has a 1.8” clearance between the bottom of the screen and the object on which it sits which means that the Arc cannot simply sit in front of the TV.Bluesound has the type of stand that I want, but it appears that Sonos does not. Hey all,I have a U-Orbit turntable with a built in Pre amp. I’ve been using them with AudioEngine HD3 speakers and have loved them for my smaller sized office.I’m moving my setup to a larger room and was thinking of purchasing the Sonos Port to connect the HD3 speakers to my Sonos Play 3 speaker.Has anyone done anything similar? Would there be a noticeable difference to connect all three speakers rather than going for either the Audioengines or Sonos by themselves? Thanks

Does this seem acceptable for a refurbished product?

Hi,I ordered a Sonos Sub last Thursday morning using 2 day shipping to the UK. It was apparently handed to DHL on Friday to be delivered yesterday (Tuesday), however there has been no movement since it was handed over to DHL on Friday.There is a tracking number, but no updates on progress whatsoever - it only was accepted and passed customs in Netherlands. I called Sonos support agents twice (up in Scotland) and could not get much more information - e.g. there is adverse weather in Europe, but no information on when it may arrive. It’s now been 4 days and its a bit unsettling to be fair - the Sonos agent does at least seem concerned that its delayed or no update on when it will be delivered. I asked him if he spoke with DHL to understand the delays and revised dates, he said he never speaks to DHL. DHL is not contactable (I can’t get to a human) so no informationI’ve had thousands of parcels delivered in the last year so, from various shippers and geographies and almost always had some

I have been gifted Bang & Olufsen active speakers.  I want to connect them to my Sonos One but have no idea what kit I need to enable this.  I am not technically minded so be gentle with me!

Would a Sub in an apartment be too much for my neighbours?  I live in an 840 sq.ft. concrete high rise. My living room is on the outside corner, so I don't think adjoining suites on my floor will hear my music/tv viewing, however I am a bit concerned about the people below me.  Any advice?

Hi AllI am shortly joining the world of Sonos (Arc soundbar, Sub and a couple of Ones as rear speakers) but an unsure about the best way to connect my turntable to the system. I want to use the speakers detailed above to play my music through and don’t want separate speakers for the turntable (which I have currently). The turntable has a built-in pre amp. What’s the best way to connect this to the Sonos system - I’ve seen the Amp and Port, would one of these be the way to do it?Thank you!

Hello,I currently own sonos arc connected to tv and play 3. I am looking to get the pro-ject T1 phono turntable and wanted to find out the best way to connect to current sonos that i have. Would i need to just get a sonos port to make this work or should i trade in the play 3 for FIVE?Thanks

I have a Sony receiver/amp connect to four outdoor wired speakers. My spouse would like to add speakers inside the house (kitchen, den, etc) so that the music can play simultaneously throughout I have a bluetooth receiver connected to the amp so we can stream from our phones). What is going to be my best option to add wireless speakers to this system so that it will play and be in sync with the wired speakers? Should I invest the $$$ in a Sonos Amp or Port, or is there a less expensive option?

I ordered a Sonos Arc on the 4th of January, at that time the shipping date was given as 29th of January. I then received an email on the 27th of Jan saying my shipping date was delayed until the 5th of February. I have now received a further email saying shipping is now delayed until the 12th of February. Is this the norm with Sonos are there others out there eagerly awaiting delivery of their Sonos system and the delivery date being pushed back time after time. Is this just a problem with Arc orders. What is the normal waiting time for Sonos deliveries.

Ok I have been browsing NAS-related discussions here and have a couple questions/confirmations as I am hoping to get all of my CDs onto a library. It looks like something as simple as this WD My Cloud Home 4TB drive - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-my-cloud-home-4tb-personal-cloud-white/5990204.p?skuId=5990204 might do the trick. Agree? Pros/cons? Better alternatives (even if more expensive)? Could this be set up to run independent of my Mac? Or would the Mac need to be powered on to do so? I mean I know I need to the Mac to get it all set up, but once set up would this operate whether the Mac was powered on or no? Best software for ripping CDs on the Mac? I want to be able to rip full-resolution audio even if playback on Sonos is lower-res and I don’t want to use iTunes. Thanks in advance!

HiI have mobile wifi, a beam and 2 x S1 for internal sound - the boat also has several built in ceiling / wall speakers throughout - maybe 12 speakers all connected to various Fusion head units - am i right in believing that i can connect these speakers / head units to the same sonos set up as the 3 stand alone speakers either using a ‘Sonos Port’ or ‘Sonos Amp’?Would I need both, one or not possible?TIA
