As compared to what?

Stereo speakers, yes, as long as you’re feeding a Dolby Digital signal to the Beam. If you’re feeding the Beam a stereo signal, you probably won’t perceive a significant difference.

Most TV speakers are terrible, so yes.

We saw some small improvement on our big Sony, more on a small LG.

Switching on the voice enhancement and going to night mode helped too.

Sure wish we could make the center channel louder, only thing we miss from our old AVR setup.
