What to get

I am setting up a new system. My options for amplification include two Sonos amps or a Sonos port with a Russound D850 4 zoneThis will drive two Martin Logan tower speakers and 4 in ceiling speakers and possibly subwoofer.Any advice? Better sound with either? $300 more to go with the two Sonos vs other)Sorry for “aonos” -won’t let me edit title)thanks!

Dear Sonos, I ordered a Sonos Arc to a local French Reseller end of may 2021, and it seems there is no date on delivery... and on the Sonos French site you  mention minimum early July for a purchase on your site. What is happening on the production of ARCs ? Why so long delays? How can you help? I sold my beam and now my home theater with my ones and sub is no more working...

I want to add a sonos one sl to my existing network (bridge, play 3’s and two play 1’s)Will I need to replace the bridge with a boost in order for the one sl to work? Will the play 3’s work with the boost & S2 app?

Thinking of a set up for a new home “office”.I planned to use a Sonos amp connected to 2 ceiling speakers for music. Simple. I also wondered if I could connect in the TV using hdmi arc and have the tv sound come from the same ceiling speakers. Wouldn’t necessarily need to be in stereo although it may work.  The question is would the sound be ok from the tv purely though the 2 speakers without any sound bar etc? Or would it maybe sound bad as I would need a sound bar and set the as a stereo pair? It’s a lot to invest if it is going to not sound great. If that is the case I will just get a sound bar and play tv and music though that. anyone tested this set up or have any comments!? thanks!

Hello! I recently purchased and built a new home but did not install any surround house in the home. I currently have a Sonos Beam and two Sonos One SL that I purchased from costco for my living room TV to play TV/Movies and music from my app/smart TV. I am curious what I could do for my kitchen, entryway and covered patio for sound - is it possible to purchase the Sonos AMP and place in-wall speakers from another vendor in the respective rooms? If I went that route could I create different zones such as;  Living Room TV//Speakers  Entryway Garage  Outside  All Speakers playing the same What can I do to add-in a wall control inside and on the back patio? Can I use the Brilliant controls to connect my Ring cameras, Sonos Audio, etc? What’s the best wall control to use so that we could turn it down without needing to go to a mobile device on the Sonos app? Is this possible to do? What would I need? Could I set them to all be on the same account//zone?

Hello,Ive been interested in investing in Sonos 5.1 surround sound stereo system, but confused with today’s technology. I presently have a stereo, RCA, wired, but would like to have better quality speakers. So, I thought Sonia speakers would be ideal. However, I’m not sure where to buy wired speakers. Everything seems to be Bluetooth wireless. I prefer landline for Bluetooth skips too much and clarity lacks on cloudy days. Where can I buy Sonos 5.1 surround sound stereo system and hook it up to my stereo?Thank you,RockyRoc

Hi,i have a lot of different Sonos models in my House, all connected via wifi from a wifi-6 Mesh router set-up.Some speakers are in pair-connection and others are alone in a Room. Sometimes when i play Music on all speakers, There is a short lack of Sound from one or more of the speaker/speakers.sometimes just one speaker from a paired connection looses the Sound for a minute or so, and other times it’s just random which Room loses the Sound. I’m i the only one the experience this?and is There a smart solution to this, Sonos boost or something Else?

Hi,I’m investing in Sonos environment and I will buy soon a Sonos amp to power some in-ceiling speakers and I was wondering whether I could “recycle” and integrate in my Sonos environment one speaker I bought years ago which has an amazing sound.It is a Geneva Lab model M speaker which is basically as powered speaker with a dock for iphone on the top, a radio tuner inside and also a Line-In 3.5mm plug at the back.Here’s an idea of the Geneva Speaker, this link is for the S model which basically the same but without the Iphone dock on the the top:https://appleinsider.com/articles/13/08/31/review-geneva-lab-model-s-wireless-speaker Do you think I could connect the Sonos amp to the Line-In of my Geneva speaker in order to stream music to all my Sonos speakers but also the the Geneva speaker?I that’s possible, what sort of materials/accessories is required to connect both?Many thanks in advance for your advice!  

Can you still trade in a unit that won’t power on ? I have a sonos connect that has never been connected to my system that won’t power on.   Can I trade this in or does it need to connect to my system ? Thanks for the help..  Burned by a looser from Kijii.  

Hello, I’m considering to get sonos equipment for home theater (beam + 2 one SL as rear speakers + sub).I have a turntable that I want to be able to listen on this system.Instead of buying a port, I consider buying a sonos 5 on wich you can plug an external source.—————————————————           TVsub    beam            sonos5 turntable         couchoneSL       oneSL—————————————————My question is, if everything is in the same room, will I be able to listen my records on every speakers at the same time (sonos 5 would « send » music on every other devices) ?If so, do you know how stereo will be rendered ? thank you for your help

I am considering buying a Play 3 speaker with a smaller support speaker like a Sonus 1. One  concern I have is, can updates with the iphone, make the Sonus incompatible?

Noticed That a local retailer has the playbase open box for 200.00 or new 286.00 (USD).  I know that this is a discontinued item, and nowhere near the Arc, but the price seems right, I already have a pair of Play 1s in my living room.  Think I could get a few years of enjoyment out of it and would it add any additional dimension to music if paired up with the play 1s.  It would easily accommodate  my current setup both physically and astetically fit my  Any thoughtsappreciated...

I’m moving soon into a place with 5 wired, in-ceiling speakers, but also have 2 sonos play:1s currently. I was thinking of getting the Sonos amp to utilize both, but not sure if that would be the best way to connect and use all of these speakers (or if that’s even possible). Or I guess I could use 2 of the ceiling speakers and my 2 sonos speakers to create surround too I think.  Let me know if anyone has any advice!

This is 3 questions in 1 post. Can I keep my old products (or sell them or give them to family?) when taking advantage of the upgrade or do I need to send them back in order to take advantage of the offer?If selling/giving away, do I just do a factory reset? Do I then need to dis-associate them from my account?Is the Sonos Boost mandatory if moving to S2?

Hi there, I am designing a home expansion to create a Family room and a Terrace. In the  Family room I am considering a sonos arc, sonos sub and 2 One’s for surround.  For the terrace, two passive outdoor speakers powered by a Sonos Amp. My question is: can I pair the Sonos Sub with the Amp wirelessly (moving the Sub outside of course) when I am in the Terrace to enjoy the music in stereo from the outdoor speakers with the sub through the app?

Does Sonos Beam work with Samsung 7 Series UN65TU700DF?

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I am just learning about Sonos and how it works.I would like to know if the following scheme makes sense, and if i have the equipment correct.I am trying to use the minimum amount of equipment.My understanding is each zone needs its own Amp, except if they are sound bars.Zone 1 is meant to serve mostly the kitchen but allow people in dining area to hear the speakers as well. It is connected to its own Amp.Zone 2 is meant to be primarily for the TV, I am hoping that it can also play in sync with zone 1 when desired via the Sonos App.Zone 3 is for the outdoor patio. I am not sure how the speakers should be mounted to serve the most area. Zone 3 needs to be able to play its own sound, and sync with Zone 1 when desired. It is connected to its own Amp.The master bedroom will have a sound bar that is completely independent from all other Zones.Is this correct and possibly? Is there anyway to reduce the number of Amps needed? 

With the Sonos Arc, can I use a Play One and a Sonos One as the rear surround speakers?Do I need a Sub or does the Arc provide the Sub qualities?

There’s no location in my space for a sub woofer but wondering if surround speakers like SL’s are worth it or a waste of time.  Thoughts? 

I have purchased a Sonos Beam and very happy with it but unfortunately my TV will not connect as it does not have HDMI Arc or optical out. So I am upgrading my TV but Most TVs now seem to have HDMI EArc and not just HDMI Arc will my new Sonos Beam work with HDMI EArc?Are there any TV brands that have issues that I should avoid.Thank You
