I have Sonos One with Alexa set up, and see this issue:In Sonos App, go to Settings - System - <your speaker> - Volume Limit - set to 35% Say “Alexa, set volume to 2”. Alexa sets volume to 2, all good here. Say “Alexa, what’s the volume?”Alexa says: “Device is at volume 4”.Can this inconsistency be fixed please?

For some years with my set up of an Echo Dot and a legacy Sonos Connect I have been able to ask Alexa to play any radio station and it will play on the Connect in the same room, except for BBC radio stations which would only ever play on the Dot. I had to create some trigger processes on IFTTT to get round this to play BBC radio through the Connect  However today I asked Alexa to “Play BBC radio 6 music” by mistake instead of using the trigger command and found that after the usual BBC sounds pre-jingle was played on the Dot the radio station in question started to play on the Connect.Hopefully this is a permanent fix and not an error but has anyone else experienced this?I am in the UK and have the Sonos and BBC skills enabled in Alexa app. 

While my speakers are recognized in HomeKit, the available controls are limited.  Is it possible to control the volume through HomeKit?  Seems a basic functionality. 

After the last update of something, Alexa stopped playing NPR and TuneIn on my Sonos Playbar. Alexa will still play music. However, when I ask it to play NPR, I get the “I can’t find that station” same deal with anything through TuneIn. It worked last week. I tried reinstalling the Sonos app. I tried the Sonos S1 app, same problem. I tried removing and reinstalling the Sonos skill on the Alexa app, same problem. 

I’ve been having troubles with local radio stations in Canada for the last week or so.  Reproduction Steps:Speak into any Sonos in my home “Alexa play Boom 973” or “Alexa Play Boom 973 on TuneIn”Response “The station named boom 973 is currently unavailable”. The station itself doesn’t matter, all local stations do the same thing.  What does work:The exact same command on any Amazon echo deviceLaunching the same TuneIn station via the Sonos s2 app Troubleshooting:reboot the device reboot the network Remove Alexa services from the device and re-add disable the Sonos skill and re-enableBased on this troubleshooting as well as other posts here, I think there is something fundamentally wrong at the Sonos/Alexa integration level. I am located in Canada. 

We just got a Sonos Move. It supports Alexa fine. I can write a routine for it to Say something. I can write a routine that Announces something on all devices, and the Sonos Move will make the announcement.However, when I write the Announcement routine and get to select devices, the Move is not on the list. So I cannot select just a few devices to get the announcement on the Move - it has to be all devices.The other Sonoses we have (One, Beam) appear fine.Am I missing something? 

Just recently have been experiencing a problem using the Alex skill, where I have to almost daily disable then re-enable the skill to get it working.  I have several Amazon echo devices that I use and dedicate a Sonos speaker to, and a total of 3 Amazon accounts, which has not been a problem up unitl now.  It seems that when I disable and re-enable under one Amazon device/account, at some point I will have to do the same under another.  Again, all of this has been working great up until recently.  Note: I do have a Sonos boost on my network. Anyone else running into this, any fixes?  Thanks

I just got a Beam and the audio ducking when using Google Assistant is quite annoying. I understand that any currently playing media will have its volume lowered so you can hear the response of the Assistant, but this goes on for far too long after the Assistant has finished speaking. This also means it’s listening for additional commands, so it picks up any conversation during this period and tries to search for whatever is said which is frustrating. I wish there was a way in the Sonos app to adjust this. I used to use a Google Home Mini which would duck the audio for the response, but then crank it back up to where it was as soon as it had finished speaking. If it can be accomplished on a device that is far, far cheaper than the Beam, then I’m sure Sonos can make it work.

I have 8 Sonos AMP, 1 Sonos Playbar, and 1 Sonos Move. The AMPs and the Playbar are connected to a Sonos Bridge, which is itself hardwired to the router.In the Alexa mobile app, the 8 AMP each have a duplicate entry of the form “[AMP name] TV”This is creating confusion for Alexa voice control.Deleting the duplicate “TV” devices from the Alexa mobile app works for a period of time, but they later reappear.Powering down everything and rebooting everything does not help. The duplicate devices reappear.[Disabling the devices in Alexa doesn't seem to solve the confusion issue, but I recognize that’s not a Sonos issue and not a topic for this forum,]I would like to not have the diupliate entries in the Alexa app.Ideas?  

I'm finishing my basement and don't want to have Echos and Sonos speakers everywhere. The Sonos One speakers are great because they have microphones and Alexa built in. Do the ceiling speakers or wall speakers have this same capability? I only see the app and airplay as controls (which is weak). 

The Alexa voice assistant works fine to turn on the radio on my Sonos but it doesn’t work to turn off the radio so I have to turn it off by the plug - anyone else have this problem? - I’ve tried removing Alexa & adding it again but the problem persists 

Hi Everyone, I’m considering purchasing a Ring doorbell and would like to have it “ring” through my current Sonos Setup (Play Bar, Play1, One).   I see mixed reports on the success (and complexity) of integration. I don’t really fancy having a dedicated device to Chime or rely on my phone in the house So, is my simple requirement for a notification from Ring to Sonos to alert me someone at the door unrealistic? Thanks! 

Alexa will talk over the first few seconds of the song with name and artist of the song when requesting to play a song.  I’ve looked all over for a fix and cannot find anything.  Can someone please address this?

how do I  adjust the volume on timer when using Alexa on my sonos its so quiet and I've tried everything Timer volume on Sonos when using alexa cannot be increased any ideas most welcome or SONOS please fix 

I've had Sonos for over a decade. Started with a Play:5. Decent enough. Definitely not audiophile and doesn't compare to my B&W CDM 9NT speakers, nor do I expect it to, but I did hook a Sonos Connect up to that system for the better audio quality of those speakers. I also eventually got some Play:1's, a Playbase, a Sub, and a Sonos One.Sonos eventually rendered my old system incompatible with itself. The older Play:5 and Connect are not compatible with the other newer speakers. If I try to play through all of them on the legacy app, the sound keeps dropping out. Their solution is to buy more of their stuff and junk my old perfectly working $500 Play:5 and both of my $350 Connects. Yes. That is over $1,000 in equipment they want me to junk.Well, with the Echo, you can take the 1/8" jack and output audio to any type of amp and speaker. Does anyone know what is the google home voice command to change the volume on my Samsung tv that is utilizing sonos’ playbar via optics setup?   for example if I was listening to Spotify on my tv or watching Hulu/Netflix?  When I ask google to increase volume on living room tv not thing happens...I tried different combination like increase volume on Sonos...living room ...etc...but no success. 

I just purchased a Sonos One SL to use with my Amazon Dot for the Virtaual Assistant only, not to play music.  I have other equipment for my music.  It appears this is not an option, or I just cannot figure out how to get my Dot to play the weather, news through the Sonos One SL.

I had google assistant working before, but moved homes and had to set everything up on a new wifi. I reset my beam and connected it to the new wifi, but can't seem to be able to connect google assistant again. I've tried disconnecting all devices from google home/assistant. I've deleted the google home app. I still have the google assitant app. When trying to link the device via the sonos 2 app it takes me to the app store to download the google assistant app, which I already have. I click to open the google assistant app and nothing happens. I've submitted diagnostics: 1886200429

My Sonos system and Google Assistant used to work fine. But now I can’t get my Beam to connect with GA, and my One just tells me, there’s a problem when I try to activate GA. My Move seems to connect but there’s a huge delay in answers. I’ve rebooted my Sonos system and reconnected all my units. I’ve sent you a report 776108334

Sorry if this question has been ragged before, is anyone having better luck with adding google assistant to Sonos One (S2 app)? I can link Alexa fine, but trying to link google assistant is fruitless and it keeps going around in circles trying to connect.I heard it might be an iPhone issue? I don't have any android devices to try and connect it with. I was given hints that the S2 app would solve this problem, as Sonos was aware of the specific issue but it hasn't seemed to have changed anything at all..

When I ask Alexa to “Play my notifications” on every other Alexa-enabled device in my house, it almost never fails. However when I ask Alexa to do that on my Sonos soundbar, about 50% of the time she plays a song. Has anyone else noticed this?Alexa on the soundbar seems to be biased toward assuming you want to play music. Is this something that can be corrected?I know that Alexa “learns” in a macro sense. Does she learn in a micro sense--for example that I don’t want to play music while others might. 

Until recently, when I was playing one of my Sonos playlists on my Sonos One stereo pair with GA, I could ask “Hey Google, what’s playing”, and it would tell me the song title and artist. Yesterday I noticed that it now responds “Nothing is playing”, even though it is of course playing my Sonos playlist.I have an Echo Dot in the same room that has the Sonos pair set as its default music output. If I ask “Alexa, what’s playing?”, it automatically knows that I mean the Sonos speakers, and it tells me the song title and artist as usual.So, looks like another new bug between Google and Sonos...

I have 4 speakers:Google Home Mini Sonos Beam SYMFONISK SYMFONISK 1 is set to default to Sonos as its default speaker in the google home app settings.3, 4, and 5 are grouped together in the Sonos app. Whatever I do, I am not able to make google play the music on the Sonos.I set up the Sonos as the default speaker but whenever I ask:“hey google play xxx music” it plays it on the google home mini not on the Sonos.  “hey google play xxx music in living room” it still plays in on the google home mini not on the Sonos. even if I ask this while I’m right next to the Beam, it will still play on the google home mini. “hey google move the music to living room speaker” it will say that this is not supported. “hey google play the news” it will stiil play on the google home mini.Why are these 5 actions impossible?
