Voice control and smart home

Hello,after moving to a new location I wanted to setup my Play 1s again. I was able to add them as a new system and everything works fine in the sonos app. Then I reenabled my sonos skill in the Alexa app, but then no devices are found. I did everything to make it work: reset speakers, rebooted devices, restarted app, relinked Alexa and Sonos. But those devices just cannot be found… Are there any advices?

Why is my Echo dot playing on my Sonos speaker when I tell it to play a song? I haven’t done this on purpose. As an example, I say to Alexa, Play Kenny G, and it starts to play on my Sonos speaker in the other room. How do i stop this and have it play on the Echo dot?

Hello, A few weeks ago my Sonos Roam reset and subsequently lost connection to Alexa. I've tried reconnecting it via the Sonos App and when I follow the steps and choose Alexa, it attempts to login to the app but all I get is the spinning wheel.Eventually it says try again or cancel. I've deregistered it on the Alexa app and still I'm facing issues. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciatedMatt

I own 12 Sonos products in my system and love the hardware.  The interface, however, is lacking.  There are three tv sound bars including ann arc, arc ultra, and play bar.  They work fine as soundbars driven by the optical cable on my tv’s.  But since the app update some time ago, none of the other items work.  It’s all software issues, but without a,way to use the speakers, what’s the point?  It may be time to rethink my approach to audio in my home.  RIP Sonos.

Hi all - recently set up my Sonos Arc Ultra and have set up Amazon Alexa as my voice control. However, I can't seem to get voice controls for my TV to work. For example, when I say "Alexa, turn off my TV" it says that there is no device or group named TV. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you

4 Sonos speakers throughout the house have worked perfectly two years. We use Alexa. Good connection. All speakers work Alexa responds I can look up anything I want and Alexa answers. On my music I ask Alexa to play an artist Alexa confirmsand she ends her sentence with “what would you like to hear next”. On my app I can see the song playing my sound bars the volumes everything but there’s no music coming out of my speakers. No matter what music I ask for, Alexa will confirm And then says “what would you like to hear next”

Compre un ERA 100  en junio 2024  no he logrado que reproduzca spotify,  sale que el dispositivo no esta en linea,  intento nuevamente y sale error 1.000 y no encuentro por ningún lado que significa esto  ni como solucionarlo.  Creo que mi platica la perdi comprando este dispositivo. 

Hi.the issue im having here right now is that I can’t change the wake word on arc as someone in the house has a similar name. The only way to change (as I have researched) is to get a dot, place near the arc, disable the arc voice control.then group the arc and dot in Alexa app in the same room (living room in this instance). And set preferred speaker as the arc.now, here’s where it gets messy. I have change the wake word to echo on the dot. When I call out echo on the dot, it responded on the dot. I thought it was suppose to respond through the arc? When I call echo on the dot to play music, it somehow says…playing Spotify on Sonos and the arc plays music.i tried bringing this dot to another room, group it with a full fledge echo speaker, set preferred speaker to full fledge echo. When I speak to the dot, it responded through the echo speaker. When I speak to the dot to play music, it DID not play on the echo but on the dot. Wtf..? I don’t really care about the echo and dot scenario.

I have an Arc Ultra with 2 paired Era 300s in a Living Room system.   If Sonos Voice Control is setup on the Arc Ultra, should enable it also on the paired Era 300s also or would this confuse the system?

I just bought 2xERA 100 and 1xBeam (Gen2) (still waiting for delivery of Beam). I used S1 until yesterday for my 4 Play:1 and Connect. For a very long time it has been possible to update the app, I have waited since Connect is not compatible, but now I decided to take the step. And I wish I would not have!! I do not have to repeat what so many have said already concerning playlists (unfortunately I did not know until today after setup and testing). But I am asking, WHEN is it coming? Another question I have: I really hope it will be possible to use voice control to play songs from my own library! If that is not coming I will certainly return my new speakers. 

For the last few days when i ask Alexa to play BBC sounds or Apple Music on my sonos devices it says “I’m having trouble”  Things I have already tried:factory reset of sonos devices disconnect and reconnect alexa integration in sonos app disconnect and reconnect apple music and bbc sounds service in sonos app enable disable apple music / bbc sounds / sonos skills in alexaNothing works The services work fine when played from alex advecis any ideas?  thanks a lot! 

On my echo speaker, I have alexa enabled with two accounts, each with it’s own spotify. I can use voice commands to play from the appropraite person’s spotify - for example, “play artist on xxx’s spotify”.  I can also ask it to switch accounts. I have my alexa voice controller activate on my Sonos One. However it won’t switch accounts, nor will it play from any spotify other than the one assocaited with the alexa account which was used  for the voice controller. Is there a way to replicae the funcionality of my echo speaker on my Sonos One? 

Ik heb Sonos losgekoppeld van Google assistent omdat al lange tijd de spraakbediening voor de tv niet meer werkte (verder alles wel). Nu lukt het mij niet meer om te verbinden. Ik kan het hele programma doorlopen maar Google lijkt de beam of One Sl niet meer te vinden. Wat zou dat kunnen zijn? Moderator Edit: Google Translate - I disconnected Sonos from Google Assistant because the voice control for the TV no longer worked for a long time (everything else did). Now I can no longer connect. I can go through the entire program but Google can't seem to find the beam or One Sl anymore. What could that be?

Since this still has not been enabled I assume sonos will not be doing this ? Not a great look from Sonos, it works on other Google enabled speakers.What's causing the issue ? Will Sonos update this or do I have to change to Spotify which is a shame as apple music is far better and has Atmos 

I have a sonos beam 2 and I can't pair it with my Alexa voice assistant. When I go to log in to Amazon Alexa. It just won't work.

I can't get Sonos to play radio stations from Sonos Radio using voice control. The stations are in my Sonos Favourites. “Sorry, I can’t find that on Sonos Radio. Please try again with another music service.”I’ve tried playing the stations via the app, asking “What’s playing” and pronouncing my SVC commands similarly, but no joy. example: RTÉ Lyric FMAny ideas? Is there a way to rename a favourite station in the iOS or desktop app that might get this to work? I’m not using Alexa and don’t plan to. 

I have a new projector that uses the Google TV Stick and it’s Google Home services.  Is it possible to connect my Sonos devices to the projector?  I know I can connect one through Bluetooth, but I would like to connect the Google Home/TV Stick to the Sonos App so I can use my Sonos system.  Does anyone know how to do this?

Alexa answers and says the command given but then nothing happens  Ie ill say Alexa play Xmas songs  it replies saying the xmas station by Amazon music but then nothing plays ???  

Noticing that an Echo device was unable to play a station on Sonos Play:1 Ive found multiple issues -The Android Sonos app isnt showing favourites (tried usual remedies like clearing app data) - but the Windows Sonos app still shows them OKTried unlinking the Alexa Sonos skill but I cant now reconnect the skill - at first the linking page gave a message about needing to register the Sonos to an account (which it already was) and now just says it can’t connect to SonosAbsolute Radio stations aren’t playing - tried adding the Rayo service instead on mobile but wouldn’t link - although could link using the Windows Sonos app - but actual stations still wont playI’ve already wasted over an hour trying to resolve all this - as with any time there are problems there are no useful diagnostics or announcements.

Hi,I am trying to login to sonos via Google Home or Google Assistant.Both are launching a new “browser like” window trying to access login.ws.sonos.com - however no access is gained to that site.Others experiencing same issue ?  

I have changed my router, reset my Sonos products, deleted then readded to Amazon then when I ask Alexa to play anything it announces what it plays but there is no audio

When asked to turn on the 'reading light' (a smart bulb) Alexa from the Sonos Beam responds with "what setting?" If given a setting the Sonos Beam then changes it's volume to that setting.If this command is given to any other Alexa device the light works normally. This also used to work fine.I've tried a factory reset and reconnected Alexa several times to no avail.

I am unable to get SVC to recognize and perform any commands on the Sonos AMP. I have two ERA 100 and two ROAM 2 and one Sonos AMP. All of my ERA’s and ROAM have SVC enabled and this is where I am making my requests. The AMP is currently set up as “Basement”, and is usable within my APP and functions properly with groups when done within the APP. However, when making any requests to SVC regarding the Basement (AMP) it will not do anything. So, if I say “Play Jazz in the Basement” or “Group this with the Basement” or “Add Basement” or “Stop playing in Basement”, nothing will work. Any command specific to the basement will not work. The only thing SVC will do regarding the basement is play the AMP when I say “Play in the Entire House”. Has anyone else had this problem, what should I do?

I have just used my new Sonos ERA 100’s to listen to a previous BBC Radio broadcast of Sounds of the Sixties.  The next time I asked Alexa to open BBC Sounds and play Sounds of the Sixties, it gets stuck in a loop of about 30 seconds whereupon it stops and repeats the same 30 seconds.  It doesn’t matter if I ask BBC Sounds to play a different episode, every time I get the same 30 second loop.  If I ask BBC Sounds to fast forward any amount, she replies that “I can’t do that”.  I have tried re-booting the ERA 100’s and also tried un-installing the Alexa App and re-loading it.  I can get BBC Sounds to play Radio 1 Anthems, but if I ask for Sounds of the Sixties, I just get the same 30 second loop.
