I can find this function on the android app (although unreliable) but not on the iPad app? Does it even exist?I Can’t find the words to say how much I dislike this app!
I've encountered an issue with my Samsung QN75QN85AAWXXY TV, specifically when it's set to "Digital Output Format: Auto" and connected to a Sonos Arc soundbar. Despite trying various cables and confirming the TV recognizes the e-ARC connection as it should, the audio intermittently cuts out. This problem arises whether I'm watching free-to-air TV or streaming through any apps on the TV.Interestingly, when I switch the TV's setting to PCM, the audio dropout issue ceases, but this workaround significantly compromises sound quality since formats like Dolby aren't supported in PCM mode.I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue or might have insights or solutions to suggest.
I recently had to replace my Roam unit with a new one. It setup in “my system” just fine and works great. The problem is that the old unit still shows in the app and I want to delete. How to do?

I’ve been a Sonos user for over 19 years.I’ve been a Product Manager for over 15 years (manage a team of 75 people.)The new app is unimaginably bad.Honestly the only way to fix this is to fire your product management team.
I came back from a work trip, and when I came home I noticed that Sonos needed some updates. So, I did. But now the widget of the android app is gone, but most annoying of all, I cannot use my music library anymore. I can update it, but I cannot browse it's folder sturcture, nor can I search it's contents. I have a huge library on both my laptop as on my phone, with songs that arent on Spotify. Main points:1. I have this music to listen to.2. Sonos has made it impossible to listen to.3. I'm now unsure what the advantage is of using Sonos, opposed to just plugging a mini-jack into one of my devices? So, Sonos, get your shit together, and make sure users can access their libraries again. And maybe, if your developers might have some time left, let them develop a widget. But without that library function all of my stuff will go right into the bin.
App reinstalled because i could not get sound after attempting and failing to Trueplay and now i cannot get past the terms of use agreement . Allows me to select country but "accept" is still greyed out...any suggestions?
My “recently played” content no longer updates in the new v80 app. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? The new app is such a disappointment (as this is one of many issues) and has forced me to consider moving to Bluesound - the latest update has exposed serious organisational issues at Sonos that are unlikely to be rectified by the current management team.
I own 2 homes with a Sonos system in each home. I have recently purchased a roam speaker and connected it to the Sonos system in 1 home. Can I take this same speaker to the second home and connect it to that network without deleting the connection to the network in home number 1?
I am building a new house and trying to figure out the speaker situation in the entertainment room. I want to make it look as sleek and minimalistic as possible, so was thinking about using the in wall/in ceiling speakers. Given that it is a new build, I can still run wires wherever needed. Just need some help or recommendations. In general, what I as thinking was 2-3 (right, left, center) in ceiling speakers in the rear and 2-3 in wall speakers in the from (right, left, center). Is this reasonable. Would it be better to use an Arc instead from the front, or would it be even better to use an arc at the center and then two in walls as the front left and right?
Can Sonos please work on ability to edit favorites list on Apple iOS ? When I add a Sonos Radio stations it loads to top of my list.*** I’d like to adjust favorites list to my preference at top, not my last searched & saved radio station. Thanks!
Hi I’m going round the twist following installation of new router. I just can’t get the Sonos to connect to the new network using the app. I’ve tried powering on and going into network settings etc. The app just says not connected, so I tried the “join an existing network”. However, that just says can’t find Sonos, power on and connect to the network etc. I think it might be due to new router set up. Ie have retained original router, but that now connected to a new Asus, which is configured to access point mode. Be really grateful if someone could advise me. Thanks
HelloI’ll keep this short; but first let’s address the elephant(s) in the room straight away….Yes, the Sonos App is still somewhat of a work in progress. Enough said on that. Sonos Ace headphones do not connect over Wi-Fi in the same manner as other Sonos products; and therefore do not appear as a “speaker” in the Sonos app. That’s good news as the Ace Headphones will not impact the number of Sonos units on a single system which is 32. Assuming I’ve made the correct interpretation 😂🤔I imagine that the latter comes as a shock to most. I always thought putting Wi-Fi radios into a headset is a bit much…but maybe it will come in the Ace Gen2. 😂🤔Nevertheless, from reviews by the likes of The Verge; the Ace’s have the chops to compete with well-established headset competitors like Apple, Bose and Sony to name a few.Sonos (IMO) seems to have checked all the boxes such as: * Comfort and Fit for a variety of head-sizes (as well as eye glass and/or ear-ring wearers) Premium construction and
Hello has the forthcoming redesigned Sonos App (announced on 23rd April 2024) been tested for compatibility with the voice-over screen reader in IOS? I am totally blind and currently use sonos very successfully with the S2 app on both my Iphone and Ipad. can you confirm whether the app has been tested with voice-over and that it will continue to be accessible to voice-over users. I am slightly reluctant to update if the app ends up being less accessible to me. at present the current app works beautifully with the exception of a few minor quirks. Thanks for any info you can supply. Best wishes Angus
Basic functionality is missing from the new app. I cant even see what volume number speakers are on unless i click into the group. Syncing all grouped speakers to the same volume feature would be super useful. Doesn't seem like Im the only one who isnt a fan of the new app.
Last night my SONOS iOS app was FORCED updated to the latest version and has now rendered my system inoperative. Attempts to connect to my SYNOLOGY NAS are failing. The APP is PURGE GARBAGE!!!! I tis not easy to navigate My SONOS system was setup to NOT automatically update. Attempts to contact SONOS are useless. The wait time are extremely long. I do NOT care about their important launch that is coming up. In fact, based on how they are treating their loyal customers I am considering selling everything and looking for an alternative.
Does anyone else wish Sonos would make a home theater “receiver”. No built in amplifier, just a connectivity device to connect your projector or TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, etc. This receiver should also allow more flexibility in which speakers you choose for the various channels of your surround sound setup. E.g., you could build a surround sound system using all Fives or an Arc with Fives as front left/right.I have a long throw projector and have to run a 25 ft HDMI cable from the back of the room to the Arc in front. Would be much simpler if I could just connect the projector to a receiver in the rear of the room - no long HDMI cable to soundbar in front. And would prefer discrete speakers in front for better left/right separation. And please can we join two Sub Minis to a single speaker/room? I much prefer the punchy Sub Mini to the boomy Sub. Allowing the user to select crossover frequency for the Sub would also likely solve this - I used to set my sub crossover around 40 Hz be
Everything I’m finding on the Google is a few years old or involves lots of words like XML.I have built a number of playlists in Sonos.I’m hearing that a number of users have lost theirs when they “upgraded” their app.Is there a way to backup (or export) the lists, so if that happens, I can re-import them into Sonos?(And if “yes”, how?)Thank you
HiThe question is often asked “does a Sonos Sub improve the listening experience of Sonos speakers”. IMO the answer is “Yes”. The more prudent answer given by community members (in most cases) is to suggest that the person asking the question allow their ears to make the final judgement. Meaning…purchase a Sonos sub and return it within the Sonos return window for your region; if not satisfied. In the US the Sonos return window is 45 days. You can also do the same from a local or online retailer that offers a reasonable return policy/window.Sonos speakers (IMO) are great but none offer the low-end that I prefer...not even the excellent Sonos Five. However, there are considerations. As you are aware Sonos offers a full size sub and now after much lobbying by community members the Sub-Mini. Both subs serve a specific purpose for their intended use. Before I go further…to keep things simple in this discussion…”Cost” is not a factor of consideration regarding the full size sub versus the
Why release software before it has been checked? - why discontinue working apps (DesktopApp) before supplying an updated one? - why do Sonos continue to employ useless software engineers instead of populating the workforce with more able 12 year olds?At least Apple support devices for at least 7 years - my 18 month old Sonos set up seems obsolete already.I was just sent this in an online chat “To access your music library on Sonos, you can stream it from any computer or network attached storage drive to your Sonos system. Here's how you can do it using the Sonos app for macOS or Windows” - the chat ended when I asked where to get this App.
Hi all. I’m less than amused with the alarm being removed from the latest app update, is it coming back? if not how can I turn off the 2 alarms I have set? They are still coming on every morning at 6:45am in my bedroom and 7:15am in my sons bedroom….. Rather annoying. cheers Stu.
Can you connect the Ace to a PC via USB-C for video calls (e.g. Zoom) or does it only support calls via Bluetooth? Couldn’t find anything about this in the release information
I am trying to connect my Sonos Move (1st gen) to my existing Sonos system. In the app, my Move shows in the system list of devices but it says “Not registered”. So I click on Fix It and follow all the steps. But always get the following messages during setup: ”There was a problem linking your Sonos Move to your account.”“There was a problem adding your Sonos Move to your system. Try again later.““We couldn't link your Sonos Move to your account. Check your Wi-Fi connection and try again later.”“Your Sonos Move has been added. Audio playback will be available once this product is updated and linked to your account.“ And then nothing. It just says contact supportI have done the following: Run the setup process several times Factory reset the Sonos Move Restarted my phone Rebooted my WiFi Deleted and re-installed the appNothing works. The device is connected to the power supply. Would greatly appreciate some help with this.
can I have guests play their own selections from their phones if they have access to my WiFi? Sonos Roam.
Hi this is somewhat confusing and would have expected the Sonos site to be more wizard like to assist choosing a turntable. We have an arc, sub and 2x plays 1s in the lounge, we have play bar and 2x 1s in bedroom. We have a 5 gen1 in kitchen and a play 1 in the study. we would like to add a turntable to the mix. Ideally hooked up in the lounge to the arc and I revive I need a pre out amp integrated into the turntable and connect that to a port or connect which will enable the turntable to play to any speaker? The other option is to buy a high end turntable that has WiFi built in? Thank you
