I have a beam and two play speakers . 1st Generation.
The beam plays TV audio just fine.
The Beam and the two speakers will play music, just fine.
How do I get the play speaker to play TV audio?

If the Play:1 speakers are set up as surrounds with the Beam, then you need to play a 5.1 audio source from the TV.
What model TV do you have? What streaming apps do you use?
Amazon Music, and I have a Samsung UHDTV 65 inch ( 2018 model ).

Set the Digital Output Audio Format setting on the TV to Dolby Digital. Try to play a 5.1 audio source from a streaming app like Netflix, Disney+, or Prime Video.
