Looking to purchase and install GARDEN SERIES SGS 8.1 OUTDOOR SYSTEM (8 - SATS, 1 - SUB).  I see that these systems include an optional SOnance Amp.  Would I need to purchase the Sonance Amp as well as the SONOS Amp, or will it work well connecting direct to the Sonos amp

HiThe new app gives up too easily looking for the Sonos system on the WiFi and then does not seem to clear the cache or local memory and do some sort of reattempt.The problem is you get scary suggested actions like upgrading the speakers and creating a new system. I know these are incorrect suggestions because if I 'force stop' the android app and try again it ultimately works ... not always after the first retry.Sonos mesh network used to be bullet proof in terms of reliability. I understand the security was not.

The S1 app (and older) had the option on Android to play music "On the device" and I can browse my local files and play them. it went away of course with the abomination that is the current app. Is this option ever going to added back into app? This is very useful when working on a space at my brother's farm that still only supports S1. However it would be nice to use it in other situations when connected to a system other than my own.

my mac blew up ...and i didnt want to do that platform anymore….so i bought a lenovo AIO 3all in one…….i have two sonos 5;s connected to a min sub woofer...i can get spotify to play by selecting in house ...and i can play my radio stations through the sonos app….but how do i get utube to play ...and dose a direct headphone jack from the 5.;s to the lenovo aio 3 ...a line in work ...with the single jack ensuring the two 5;s and the mini sub are grouped  

I cannot express in enough words what an absolute piece of garbage system this is with this garbage app. Never have I spent such wasted money on garbage and frustration.  

I just purchased 4 Sonos ERA1 and 1 ERA 300…I’m loving the experience. I would like to use them with my TV until I can squirrel away the funds to buy an Arc Ultra. Is the Line-In adapter the best way to achieving my goal? Thanks in advance.

When I play Apple Music through the Sonos iOS app using my Arc Ultra with Sub Gen 4 and Era 300 rears, playback is not gapless. On albums with seamless transitions between tracks, the Arc briefly cuts out during transitions — going completely silent until the next track starts. The music playback setting for the Era 300s are set to Full, and Spatial Audio is turned off. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any ideas for a fix or workaround? Thanks in advance!

I have updated the Sonos app on Android which was mandatory and it looks like the EQ is now missing. How can I change the bass and treble settings or can I not do this? Thanks.

Hello, I am currently facing a challenge in the interplay of MPD’s (Music Player Daemon) audio output as a http stream in my local network and the sonos interface (currently I use tuneIN to listen to a specific (local!) http address, namely the one I set in my MPD config). I successfully got an mp3 Stream up and running with maximal bitrate of 320kHz, using the following mpd config:audio_output {        type        "httpd"        name        "mp3audio"        encoder     "lame"             port        "8000"        bitrate     "320"                 format      "44100:16:2"} I now wish to replicate this for flac, but simply settingaudio_output {  type            "httpd"  name            "Lossless HTTP Stream"  encoder         "flac"  # or "wav" for uncompressed WAV  compression     "0"  port            "8001"  # choose a port  format          "44100:16:2"  # 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, 2 channels (stereo)}seems to not yield the expected result, as no audio is played back at all by the system. Grouped amps don't follow volume control with main amp

Can you play a samsung TV audio thru Sonace outdoor speakers wirelessly if using sonos AMP?  

My Sonos audio was skipping every few seconds so I reviewed all the blogs and tried to solve without success.  I went into the Samsung TV expert settings and solved the audio skipping by shutting off HDMI eArc Mode (see pic below).

Trying to determine the best place for some rears.  I currently have the Arc Ultra plus a sub.  Awkward room, I know.  Was thinking of placing them on that soffet behind the sofa and running power cables down to the outlets at each corner.  I’d rather not have anything on the walls however I have a feeling that’s the recommendation I’ll hear back.  Appreciate the guidance in advance.

The new system update included this:Authentication: This setting applies to third-party integrations that use Sonos cloud services and Local Area Network (LAN) APIs. When enabled, it requires those integrations to authenticate before connecting. Can someone please point me to any documentation for the aforementioned LAN APIs? developer.sonos.com covers SMAPI and the cloud API, but no mention of this LAN API.

                                                                                                 Hello.    I have a question:      The new sonos amp, that is 125 watt per channel (for the wired ones), is it RMS or peak?    I did not buy the sonos amp yet. But I am planning to buy it soon. I will need to buy wired  speakers for it too.  But if it is RMS or peak the 125 watt power, actually there is a difference: of what kind of speekers I need to buy. And I explain:  The peak power is the 1/3 of the RMS power. That means   the 125 watt per channel,  if it is peak, it is  actually 40 watt RMS  per channel.That means I need to buy different set of speekers if it is actually 40 watt RMS or 125 watt RMS. Because if I buy speakers for amps that are actually 125 watt RMS, and the amp power is only 40 watt RMS, the amp will not be able to handle the speakers correctly,  when you put the volume a little bit higher.      This is why actually it matters the spec of the power of watts per channel,

Wanted to add another request to add the ability to use a pair of Sonos roams as surround speakers for Sonos beam gen 2 or any other bar.I think all Sonos owners who use this feature would be capable of enabling / disabling the feature manually without any software changes.I have seen suggested elsewhere that a good option could be the roams could enter surround mode when placed on charge if that is desired. 

I’ve been putting this off since the dreaded upgrade that got rid of my TimeCapsule on Sonos, Ive only been streaming since. I would like to access my local music library again. What are my best options?NAS, if so a good value one; music files are less than 2TBor USB into router - I am planning an upgrade on my broadband so will be flexible with provider that gives best router compatible with a USB/Sonos situation. If this is a good option, advice on a good USB drive/stick. Thanks 

Have a Beam + 2 x one SL acting as surround sound speakers + sub set up as 1 room connected to a Samsung TV via HDMI cable to ARC on TV & would like to add a further pair of one SL currently set up as additional room to the room containing the Beam etc. to enable all 6 speakers to be controlled by the TV remote - the TV remote currently only controls the volume on the Beam/surround/sub speakers Is it possible?

Hi Sonos family. Recently added gen3 sub to my collection. Running two subs now. Any advice on the best placement. Two either side of tv or horizontal? Any tweaking ideas to get the best sound possible?
