Since Sonos has just launch the new Sonos Ace. My thought is what if Sonos use this as a new microphone to tune the Sonos home theatre like Sonos arc which achieve another alternative of true play on top of current iPhone true play feature. 

I have a 2020 LG CX TV with an Arc, 2 Ones and a sub that has been working fine for a year.  Earlier today, the sound stopped coming through the Sonos speakers.  I was able to get the sound to work through the speakers but the LG remote no longer controls the volume.  I have tried the manual setup controls from other threads but it doesn’t work.  Also, if I try to set up the TV in the Sonos app, I get an error that the Arc Mode is not connected but it is.

Now that I have my new Frontier Fiber with Eero Pro 6 mesh connected and all my Sonos are up and running do I need Boost anymore?

I have a few sonos products, mainly soundbars and sub for home theater.  I would love to expand to more speakers but I want the ability to cast from youtube music and plexamp, my main methods of listening to music.  I do not like the sonos app for finding and playing my music, making playlists, etc… I know this has been brought up before, but it seems like a missed opportunity.  There are only more sales to be had from supporting more protocols and ways to play your music.  I don’t know if there is an official feature request or similar community functionality so thought I would make this post.

I’m buying a surround sound system. I would wait for a couple of months for the Arc product update, but only so long.  does anyone know when the new Arc will be available for sale? thank you, 

Do not upgrade to the new app do not buy any Sonos equipment until the app is working again!!! SONOS - do the decent thing and stand up and apologise properly. No more of your silly Californian tech soundbites please. 

I have a Beam gen1 with two One SL’s in a bedroom and enjoy it.  I have never converted my living room to Sonos but with the recent sale I’m considering it.The reason I never converted my main living room were:DTS:X & DTS-HD … I have a Sony X700 and still play a lot of discs that require codec’s Sonos still don’t support. I have a 2022 Sony OLED with only two HDMI 2.1 ports, one of them being the eARC.  That only leaves me with 3 HDMI’s and I have 5 devices/inputs total.  A passthrough port on a Sonos would be nice as I don’t want to deal with HDMI switchers, which is why I currently use a receiver.QuestionI’m considering getting a Beam v2 and two Era 300’s.  I know the Era 300’s are overkill for the Beam v2 but I read all about the AppleTV popping issue with the Arc.  The AppleTV 4K is my main streaming device and I don’t want an Arc.  The plan is I’d eventually replace the Beam v2 with their next flagship soundbar (Lasso?) when it is released that hopefully supports DTS:X/DTS-HD,

Hi AllI’m new to Sonos and a music fanatic. I’m looking to put a Sonos system in an outdoor space called a naya. It wont get wet or ever be in direct sunlight. From the small amount of research I have done, it looks like a Sub Mini and 2 x Era 100 speakers would do nicely.Would they be ok with the humidity?Does this seem a good starting point, and could I add a screen at a later date?Do all 3 require mains power?Have I missed anything?Any input much appreciated!Many thanksColin

Hi, Sonosstill in trouble to find the way to listen my favourites podcasts via my Home Sonos setup.I have podcasts collection on my Spotify acc, but for some reason, can’t find Podcast section in Sonos app. To address this issue, I’ve created message in Spotify Community portal, but no progress.Still dont know what is the problem.. Hi, I have a large primary system with a mix of old and new speakers which means I can’t use the new Sonos App and have to use the S1 app which is fine, all works fine. All are connected to the same house WiFi. I have a Sonos Roam in my outside office (also connected to the same house WiFi) and want to be able to use an app to control it. It won’t pair with the new app for some reason and can’t be paired to the old S1. Every time I use it I have to go to settings on the phone and connect it to Bluetooth and use it that way which is a bit of a pain. Any ideas please? I use BTWholeHome which does have Guest network in it for visitors if that is of any use. TIA

I have been a long-time Sonos user, and this is by far one of the biggest blunders I have seen them make. The first being the whole S1 / S2 / old / new hardware guilt-trip and claiming that we all need to drop our old hardware and buy new. But I’m guessing enough peer pressure from those like me who sunk too much $$$ into our speakers have kept this older hardware continuing to run just fine, against all odds. Who could have guessed.But this app update… it has basically rendered all my music located on my network storage, unusable. Before you go “oh this was the whole SMBv1 issue blah blah…there’s a fix… blah blah”… yeah, no. I’m an experienced network engineer. My “NAS” has been running on a Windows 2019 server using SMBv2/v3 shares for years without problems. I’ve had SMBv1 disabled for years now.  The problem happened as soon as the app was released not long ago, and I mistakenly trusted Sonos, and updated it on my phone.What can I do right now?I can play all my music just fine by i

I have two separate Sonos networks, one at my house one on my boat. Every time I leave either one of these systems, I have issues connecting with them when I return. My house has a boost that I usually end up having to unplug and then plug back in for my system to work which I think is absolutely insane. My boat is the bigger issue, I don't have a boost on this network, I'm connecting two play 5's to a T-Mobile home internet wireless router.  I'm currently not able to connect to my network unless I unplug both speakers and plug them back in. Sometimes I even have to hold the button down to reset each one. Why is this a constant issue? I've tried other routers before and had the same issue. Should I just drop the speakers in the water and try another brand? So I've tried six times now to reset both speakers on this network and have been unable to do anything with them. How do I get Trueplay to retune on my Beam gen 2 with Sub gen 3 using iPad latest iOS? I've tried restarting, resetting and reinstalling. I want a refund. This new app seems to be absolute garbage. It's so unintuitive and buggy and support is offline. 

I cannot play my iTunes music library on my Sonos - it has disappeared. 

Obviously you Sonos people don’t know how to “Beta” an app before you roll it out. At least 10 hours on the phone only to reset the Unit to work and only to fail the next time.  When is the fix gonna be ready, before summer is over???  so unsatisfied 

The Sonos S2 controller on my Mac lost access to my music library about a month ago.  From that point forward, I’ve been unable to play music fom the music library on Sonoma 14.5 without disabling my firewall.  My music is stored in the standard “Music” folder and it plays fine if the firewall is turned off.  The Sonos app is listed as “Allow incoming connections” in the firewall settings.  I’ve followed the straightforward advice in this Sonos page that I found, but no dice.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/configuring-macos-firewallI’ve downloaded the latest Sonos controller.  That doesn’t eliminate the problem.  I’ve been using Sonos for over 10 years without encountering this problem.I had an online chat with Sonos support several weeks ago.  They looked at a diagnostic they had me upload, and then instructed me to call Sonos support.  I did so, and they gave me the “turn your firewall off” solution after an hour on the phone.Can anyone advise how to overcome this problem? ….

With the new Sonos app it is almost impossible to get the system to stop playing a station in one room and start in another. I cannot get it to stop in the first room, it just keeps playing or linking the two rooms WHICH I DO NOT WANT.I keep getting the frustrating message “Something has gone wrong”, no more details, over and over again.COME ON SONOS DEVELOPERS, SURELY YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!

Hello! I have my new construction home prewired ceiling with 2 speakers  on living room and two in basement. I have volume knob on each floor as well. Will one AMP suffice? I just want to be able to turn the volume down in basement while I’m playing in the livingroom. 

I’ve been a long time user both at home & office. The new upgrade fails miserably!!!!  The previous version equalizer was easy to use & change in milliseconds. The new version is way too challenging. Secondly some of my playlists won’t work & I receive a trouble message with no suggested solution. One giant step backward for what was once a fairly simple app. Do better!!

Sonos have absolutely ruined the experience. The software updates are absolutely trash, I spend ages waiting for the app to load and have connectivity issues as the Sonos speaker can't be found even when logged into the app. Why have they ruined the software and ruined my experience. Thanks sonos for destroying your software and making it so hard for users to even play there music through your speakers now. Great job 👍
