Hi there,I am suddenly unable to group speakers. Individually they all work fine, but unable to group speakers with the most recent app. Also, “manually grouping” by holding the play button for 3 sec, doesn’t seem to work anymore. How can I make this work again ? Any help is appreciated.
Headed on vacation. Wondering if I can lug along my two Play 1’s, connect my computer without using a vacation router of any ilk? Thanks for your help.
Hi Sonos,I know you’re all working hard squashing bugs, and thank you for making everything a lot more stable now. I wanted to provide some feedback on the new app as it’s been out for a few months.Could we have an option to default load to the Sonos Favourites screen when opening the app. This is the screen I use the most Could we have an Edit option for the Sonos Favourites screen so we can remove and reorder it like the home screen. I don’t need Recently Added in this view, and would prefer to have Stations at the top. Could Sonos Favourites be listed alphabetically. At present it’s ordered by when items were added, meaning my all-time favourites quickly disappear behind other items. In the previous app I could start playing a favourite station with a single click from the home screen. Now it’s at least two clicks. Could stations not play with a single click as before as there’s no reason to be taken through to a second screen where I have to press play. Input feedback is somewhat l
My parents are hard of hearing. I want to make the surrounds (Era 100) not play as surround sound but play the same audio that the Beam plays. Basically the three speakers are playing the exact same thing. Is that possible?
I’m looking for some guidance on setting up a multi-room audio system. Living Room: This will be the main area for TV watching, so guessing the unlimate immersive set?Master Bedroom: I plan to do some TV watching here as well, so I’d like a good audio setup, but not as extensive as the living room.Dining Area: I’m unsure how to effectively cover this space. Any recommendations?Bathrooms: I was thinking of using single Era 100s. Would that be sufficient?Balconies: I’m debating between the Roam or Move for these areas. What would you suggest? I’m looking to achieve full coverage without going overboard. Thanks!
I have been using my turntable with my Sonos Amp for years. I want to add a cassette deck. Obviously only one will be playing at a time. Would a simply RCA Y-splitter work so I don’t have to manually unplug and plug into the Amp input? Thanks!Adam
I’m running an LG C9 with a Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray player and a Sonos Arc setup with Sub Gen 3 and One SL surrounds. Despite the recent multichannel PCM update, I’m still getting only stereo PCM 2.0 from DTS encoded Blu-rays, not 5.1 PCM. My setup includes 48gbps HDMI cables, eARC is enabled, and all devices are up to date. The C9 is set to PCM with eARC enabled, and DTS output is set to PCM on the UB820. Additionally, my room is decorated with a balloon garland from HouseofParty.com, which might be affecting the setup. Has anyone managed to get 5.1 PCM output with a similar setup, or have any ideas or settings that could help resolve this issue?
What happens when Sonos receives an audio stream (say from Amazon Music) in excess of 24/48?Does Sonos reduce it to 24/48 or something lower or even not play it?
I’ve been awaiting a fix to whatever broke my Local Library support a few weeks ago. I had already applied the workaround since the April update, of sharing the local Music folder on the Mac as a network drive, then re-adding the library using that location. It had worked fine through May, June, and early July until the update then came which broke it.So I’d like to try the new 80.06 version, but so far it’s only showing available for the Android or iOS versions. Has anyone seen info on when the MacOS version will come? I’m growing tired of only being able to listen to my Spotify or Pandora playlists.
Can I connect my google tv box to my Sonos system?
Hello, Just purchased a Sonos Move 2, which i enjoy very much, Was expecting to have Notifications-Style Audio Controls - just like in other music apps ( tidal, spotify, youtube music ), yet they seem to miss in the Sonos app, Noticed from the current discussions that other users might experience the same thing, Hopefully this will get solved in the next patches, doing my job to report it, In order to resolve this, i’ve tried :reseting app from Sonos Uninstall and reinstall Clear cache and data and then restart sonos restart phone have allowed Sonos notifications in Android app config( multiple times in different combinations ) Maybe it’s related, i’ve tried following this guide, but that option does not show up https://support.sonos.com/en/article/control-sonos-volume-with-a-mobile-device-s-hardware-buttons Have attached screenshots with :the issue with Sonos Sonos is actually running Youtube Music correctly displaying much appreciated audio controlsMissing lock screen buttons ( mayb
HelloI’am a sonos hd radio subscriber and i find that channels list in new app is smaller than in desktop app or 3rd party apps like sonopad. As an example in Classical section i see only one station Concert Hall in new app, but on desktop it 3. Same in other music radio sections.
I just bought a new TV and sonos arc. I also have a speaker system wired through the house that is powered by two stand alone amps and a reciever that is routing the source for that sound. I am considering a sonos port but want to know how i would connect the amps to the port and if the port will replace the receiver which is very old.
I could not connect to my Sonos system and noted in another conversation the Sonos recommendation to try resetting the app on my iPhone. So I tried doing that, it took me to a page to accept the Terms of Use, License and Warranty agreement, but the accept button is grayed out the only option is to cancel. What am I missing, or is this another issue with the “new and improved app”?
Good afternoon!I’m in the process of renovating my basement. I’ve included a schematic layout and I need the best way to power and control the speakers I’ve installed. All speakers have been hardwired back to the AV rack in the utility room. They’re cheap Micca 6 Ohm in ceiling speaks I got off Amazon. And I’ll only be using speakers for music as I have a dedicated home theater elsewhere. Ideally I would like to have 2 zones. The first zone would be in the gym where there are 2 speakers. The other zone would be in the remainder of the basement where there are a total of 5 speakers. My first thought was to have 2 Sonos Amps, but I understand that since I have an odd number of speakers in total (7), that would cause an issue here. Second thought would be to get a multizone amp and connect 2 sonos ports to keep the zones separate. I also have an old S2 connect I could implement somehow. However, based on my initial research, this option would likely be much more expensive than
Hi I am installing 6 ceiling speakers in my home with 1 amp. A pair in each room so I am after 3 separate wall volume control. Has anyone every done this and does It restrict the output or quality of the speakers in any way? Can you also leave a link for the volume control you have used too please 🙂 Thank you
My music library in on a PC (not NAS), and before the new app was released Sonos could access this. With recent update to the new app I can now add my music library, which I have done. However, when I select Albums in My Music Library on the app, there’s nothing there. It does say that loading may take some time, but it has been weeks now, and still nothing there. I have tried selecting the folder again, but still nothing. In Music Library Settings it says that the library has synched. I have also scanned for new content. But nothing is there.
I have a PORT 48 System. My first issue this weekend was that the sonos app indicated that my Apple Music account expired (therefore, I could not play any Apple Music). That message was wrong since my Apple account is not expired. I was able to reinstall Apple Music in the app. However, the music did not played. When I click the play arrow, a dark round circle appeared. I contacted Sonos support today and sent a Diagnostics. While talking with Juan, Apple Music began to play. Juan gave a case # to use if I have more problems. And, I do have more problems. Apple Music plays. However, it only plays one song and stop. The system does not plays a whole album, just one song at the time. Has anyone have hd an Experian similar to me?Sono’s Radio was always available to play if I want it to.Thank you for reading this. Respond if you wish. Modesto

Hello all, just wondering if it’s a known issue or is there a work around to add a second sub to my Arc, gen3 sub and 300 surrounds?I originally had two subs connected to this system, two 3rd gen subs, but in order to get lossless with my pair of fives I had to unpair my 2nd gen sub to the fives and put the 3rd gen in place. When I finally did that ( btw the app wouldn’t let me unpair the one sub from the arc setup had to factory reset the sub) I can’t get the 2nd gen sub paired up. It took me a bit just to get it back into the system but just not assigned, but every time I try and assign it to my arc setup it gives me the prompt “could not pair”, something about wifi or whether it’s still connected to power. Which obviously it is since it’s still in my list of speakers just showing not assigned. so long winded question, has anyone else had this problem and did you figure a work around that wasn’t using the 16.1 app. I’ve tried factory resetting my 2nd gen, restarting my phone, signing
Ich habe schon mehrfach die Netzwerkverbindung überprüft, die App neu eingerichtet, die Sonos Geräte neu verbunden, ohne Erfolg…Für Hilfe bin ich sehr dankbar Moderator edit:Google Translate- Good evening everyone,I have recently been unable to play any radio stations. When I use voice commands via the Alexa app, there is at least an acoustic confirmation that the desired station is now being played. But nothing happens.Even when I man
Ever since updating to the new Sonos App, it is now May 21, 2024, IT. NEVER. WORKS! Awfully frustrating and annoying. I spend over 20-30 mins each time trying to get music on my darn speakers. I have tried everything. Reset everything. About to give up on Sonos completely I am so frustrated.
what are the touch buttons on the front for?
