It’s so annoying that they have removed Apple Music from the web app. Any reason? Licensing costs?

They haven’t removed Apple Music from the web app. (I’ve just checked both Chrome and Safari.) It searches and plays fine...
Go to the top right corner cog (settings), then try signing out and sign back in again.
No joy.
Is it there on the Windows or Mac version of the Sonos app when you log in?https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/downloads
Yes.
And on iPad
Have you tried the web app on a different browser?
Chrome & Safari, Mac and iPad
The only thing I am left with to suggest is you sign out of Sonos on all browsers that you have tried this on, then go into the phone app:
Your Services - Manage - Apple Music - Account name] - Reauthorize Account.
The open a fresh browser and see if it appears.
Done. No success. Frustrating, isn’t it.
I am bamboozled…! I’d imagine it’s something to do with the fact that music commands now need to go via Sonos’ online servers but quite why their servers (when serving the web app) would not pick up that you have Apple Music when all their other platforms do is beyond my tiny mind…
I’m sure there is something obvious that will cure it, but I will leave that to another learned forum user to unpick….
Thanks, though. I spoke to Sonos support about 2 weeks ago and they helpfully said that their engineers may be working on it. Check back in an hour or two.
Next to ‘Your Services’ on the web app, when you click View All, does Apple Music appear in the list on the subsequent screen..? I would imagine not, but thought I’d ask.
Nope.
Please can someone else look at this or shout if you are also finding Apple Music missing from the web app? It’s appearing on mine okay, but is missing on the OP’s web app.
Any further ideas??
REALLY annoyingly, after YEARS of faithful service, the Mac app now gives a Firewall error and is no longer working. I guess I am now one of the many with a failed system. SO frustrating. So really need to get the web app working now.
If I remember right for it me happened so that Amazon Music was visible in my lists of services in one device’s app but not all controllers. I then removed Amazon Music on that (in order to re-authorize it) but it no longer appeared on the list of services at all. Also Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify, and YouTube Music had disappeared from the list of available services. I then needed to re-edit my Sonos web profile address (it looked ok), save it and wait 24+ hours and then those services re-appeared on the available services list and I was able to add Amazon Music back.
Especially if you don’t see any of the other major ones either (at some point in time I’ve had subscriptions to all of those so don’t know if that makes a difference or not), could the “address thing” be causing it for you on the web app for Apple Music similarly?!
Edit: if you removed Apple Music on your iPad altogether (not just re-authorizing) and it wasn’t then available for adding, that would be a sign of the “address” issue. It has happened also with Tidal for others. I’m not recommending to remove it unless you want to try if that is the reason. You’d need to then wait the 24+ hours if it still is like it was a month or so ago.
If you can’t find the service on Sonos, you can try using DumpMedia to convert your Apple Music songs to MP3 and listen to them offline.
Moderator edit: removed link to third-party service.
no, this wasn’t a question about music theft, it was a question about streaming services. I spoke to technical support yesterday and they said that they knew that there were ongoing issues that their engine engineers were trying to deal with for multiple services and the web app
Another thing to try, I saw mentioned in another thread affecting Music services, is to check your details on your Sonos account:
https://www.sonos.com/en-us/myaccount/user/profile
In regard to country, langauge, address etc. Even if they look correct, I would edit re type them, save, and wait 24 hours.
edit: Doh! Mentioned in this thread

Apple Music on play.sonos.com OK for me also.

Hi, again. Another thread I was liaising on (I don't remember the back-and-forth context but we had tried everything!) and the remedy to having Apple Music show up where it wasn't appearing was to completely remove the service from the Sonos app/account. I know you reauthorised the account, as we talked about, and I know that Sonos support have said certain things, but I would very much recommend as a potential fix that you remove Apple Music completely and then re-add it to your account. And see if that brings it back to the web app. (Nothing to lose in doing so, even if it doesn't work!)
Will do when back home.

Unless unable to add again, but a good test.
Thinking about this a little more, you can see Apple Music locally using App, but not on play.sonos.com.
This could be because when you connect locally, using App, you are connecting to a specific Sonos device, that has the Apple Music Service setup correctly. I’m assuming, in a perfect world, that the music services are synchronised across all Sonos players in your account. However, there could be an issue on one of the Sonos devices with regard to Apple Music, hasn’t synced music services correctly, and this is the device that is connecting to play.sonos.com. ie when using to App you connect to a different Sonos device vs using play.sonos.com.
If possible just have one Sonos device powered on, check App then check play.sonos.com ?
