I still wish the Sonos App would just consistently play music on my selected speakers without dropouts, missing rooms, etc. (you can add all the features you want, but if you can’t play music at all what’s the point?), but once you fix THAT…On an iPad using Stage Manager, if the Sonos App window is at certain heights (such as any hight but full horizontally) the layout of a search item detail sheet is messed up, removing the handle to swipe down to dismiss from view. If you grow the window to full height the handle is there, but some of us would like to use a smaller Sonos window to control things while using other windows horizontally. Here’s a video of the issue and photos are below.Again, please fix the core functionality first, but add this to the list.
In addition to my 2 Sonos One, Arc and Beam, I recently got myself a Sonos Sub. When setting it up, there were of course problems with the new Sonos app, which according to a news article should have been fixed a day later. Unfortunately, I can't provide any specific version information as the speakers don't appear in the new Sonos app. It was also no longer possible to set them up in S2.In the past, while my system was running without a sub, I supplied my speakers with audio signals via pulseaudio-dlna, but due to an update this was no longer possible. I then spent years trying to find a solution to the problem and eventually came across shairport-sync and ended up playing my Sonos speakers via the AirPlay protocol. Now my Arc had to update due to the Sonos Sub integration, so far no problem. Meanwhile, my Beam also received an unsolicited update. Since this update, I have had constant dropouts on the Sonos Beam when they are played with Shairport-sync.I would now like to ask for the p
Is anyone experiencing any issues with Amazon Music? Since Saturday I am getting 'no content items available', then it will connect and work and then the next day the same message again. Done the usual, disconnect and reconnect the service, delete/ reinstall the Sonos app but still the same issue. YT music and all my other services are working fine. I will contact support but I thought I would ask here first. I am using a Pixel 8 pro but this is also happening on my wife's android phone. Cheers
I just got a new Roam 2 - this is my first Sonos speaker. I cannot get the Roam 2 connected to the Sonos app. The only way I can play music on it is through my phone.I have factory reset the dang thing at least 5 times. I am using a Verizon mifi for internet.Any suggestions?
This exact error has been widely reported here, but mostly for Macs. None of the official accepted “answers” for Windows provide a solution.Running Sonos Controller for Windows 16.2.This all started when I repped some of my CDs and tried to re-index the folder. It hung for hours. I let it run overnight, and it was still hanging. I closed and restarted the app. After that, any attempts to access the Music folder - or any subfolder - fails with the 913 error code.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Controller. That has NO effect on this failure. The Controller either suddenly won’t support WIndolws Folders, or it leaves some “residue” during indexing that cannot be removed by uninstalling the app. It could be hidden properties on the folders themselves, hidden Windows Registry keys, something.
Just me or is the Amazon Music interface within the app a suboptimal experience? I primarily use playlists (that I curated). I have to tap at least twice to get to anything I created via “view more” then playlists. Spotify list what is relevant to me front and center when I open the app and I can get there with 1 tap.In Amazon it’s “content for you” but none of that is relevant until I at least click into playlists then recently played. It’s at least three taps to open a playlist and the first two taps take a sec to load.
My new move 2 is showing in my system with my other Sonos speakers but when you want it to play it says “can’t connect please try later” 70 minute wait on phone to speak to someone
Over the years, I've spent a lot on Sonos and let's leave it at that. I was a die-hard fan buying it for relatives and encouraging friends too. However, they made quite a few of my items legacy, 4 x Play 5s and a Connect that I used for proper hifi via optical out into Marantz DAC, Amp, Floorstanders, massive Monolith Plus sub. The cables on that system cost more than a Play 5. To be fair, I always thought that it sounded great via Spotify and the Sonos Connect, but I swapped to Tidal Hi-Res Studio files via the Bluesound Node, and the difference is massive. No more background noise at 5+ vol, the soundstage is much more comprehensive, bass control on another level, and vocals/instruments are just popping. The difference is enormous considering the amount spent. I'm gradually swapping Sonos for real HiFi because they will legacy more products, for example, after a few years when the S3 app comes out. I understand the business model, but it's not for me.The Tidal audio files also soun
Hi All I am currently wanting to upgrade my Sonos One’s to Era 100’s, I have them attached to non height adjustable Sonos stands. The stands for Sonos One and Era 100 seems to be identical except the base for the speaker. Does anything exist allowing me to adapt these stands for the 100’s other than having to buy new speaker stands? Thanks
HelloIs it possible to add Radio Deejay 30 Songs to Sonos? Here is the websitehttps://www.deejay.it/webradio/06/Many thanks in advance
Hi, I have an Audio-Technica Bluetooth capable turntable. I have an Arc, sub gen 3 and two Era 100’s in my surround setup. Is my best option in playing my turntable to get a port and play through my setup or get a couple Bluetooth speakers and play independently?
I have used SONOS forever. I have two new Move 2 u it’s in a room. They play fine as separate units. When I try to pair them as a stereo unit, I get an error from the app. It cannot find two compatible units to pair. The Move 2s are the latest abs same firmware version and my app is up to date.i have factory reset the units twice and rebooted multiple times.I have two Give units that pair with no issue.is this just another glitch in the new app?
I have a vintage stereo (KLH Model Twenty Four) the speaker connections are RCA style. If I was to purchase a Connect would it be the speaker outputs that connect to the audio in on the connect and then could I connect my wired speakers to the Connect audio out? Thanks!
Hey community, question regarding Arc and supporting speaker limitations. Context:I’m way deep into the Sonos ecosystem. I have a whole house setup with multiple rooms, garage, outdoor patio, etc. Living room setup: 1 Arc, 2 Gen 3 subs, 2 rear surround architectural Sonance paired with Sonos Amp. I recently added 2 front architectural Sonance speakers paired with a Sonos Amp in the living room. These speakers are a game changer, and sound incredible. Problem: you can’t add more than 1 set of speakers/Sonos amp to the Arc system. Therefore, I can’t tune the room with the additional speakers and amp. I can only Group them in the app. Any suggestions for tuning everything together. This seems like a poor limitation with Sonos. Thanks, Michael
Hi - just about to press the button on a cinema set up (arc, era 3’s and sub) - to connect to a tv with eARC for surround sound and Dolby Atmos etc.. Question though - can you still use either the whole system or just the arc or just the era 300s to play music through from the sonos app (completely separate to the TV) when you don’t want the TV on - and just use them like any other Sonos speaker? Or does this set up ONLY work with the TV when it’s on? Thanks.
Hi, I’m remodeling my house now and try to build a sound system in my house mainly for music not for tv or surround. What do you think about this setup: Sonos AMP 4 speakers Signature 5 Series 8” In-Ceiling Speaker by Episode will be connected in Parallel to sonos amp.Klipsch RW-5802IIIn-wall passive subwoofer Will be connected in RCA direct to the sonos amp. Do I need a sonos port? any other suggestions, will the sonos amp will handle the 4 speakers with the subwoofer? I’m open to other suggestions to build a music system in my living room
HiCan anyone answer how headphones and soundbar work together? If I have headphones on what is the point of having the soundbar on too??
Maybe a daft question but my new (black) Port only seems to let me use my wi-fi to connect, not the Sonos Channels my old white Port allowed. My Port is right next to a wi-fi booster, wired to a turntable, and two Play 1s (hardly the Sonos way) but the sound is still glitchy. I'm running out of ideas and patience setting this up over and over.
Is it possible to connect sub to port? I can not manage to connect them.
Is there anyway to disable Sonos radio in the app I’ve seen this question asked here however, the Thread is closed to replies. my chief complaints about Sonos radio is that you can’t turn it off and if you’re using Sonos voice controls it seems to prioritize Sonos radio over Spotify. This is very annoying since there are commercial breaks, and it isn’t nearly as refined as Sonos as far as music quality from song to song. Pushing a crap streaming service when all of us already have our preferred streaming services. It seems like a deliberate money grab for another subscription Just to avoid commercials. But it’s crap please don’t force us. We’ve all been suffering since May
How can I get information on remotely accessing my Sonos system remotely? I’ve had the need several times now when traveling. It seems possible reading through various threads.
Hi I have beam 2 a pair of era 100 arrived today and setup as Sorround.i want to buy a sub mini.it is a right choice? What improvements do I get with both movies and music like Apple Music or Tidal? Thanks.Andrea
First of all, thank you for reading this post. I bought my first Sonos device 12 years ago. Always liked it (except for the transformation from gen1 - gen2 because it's not completely compatible). My question. I just returned from my holiday. I always power off all electronics if I leave the house for a few weeks. When i came back I wanted to start up my Playbar again. Unfortunalely it won't power on anymore. No white led light, not to find in the app. Nothing works. Tried to reset, power off and on, tried another power cable, another power socket.. called Sonos. They couldn't do much for me either...So I already ordered the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to replace the playbar BUT I want the playbar to work again. Sonos doesn't have repair service and when I searched the internet i saw it was a rather common problem with the playbar. Is there someone around here who can provide me some tips or a good repair manuel to repair it myself? Thanks in advance and I hope to hear from you.
I have recently bought a second hand play 3 from eBay but I am unable to connect it to my system although after a reset the light flashed red then went green does any one have any suggestions thank you
Three weeks ago I purchased SYMFONISK (Ikea) speaker. Installed Sonos app, could connect also my Spotify account. As many know, the Sonis app is now dead/not showing any content - incl no Spotify. when I start Spotify on my iPhone, it does not “see” SYMFONISK anymore. However - when I play music on Spotify, switch of from iPhone (black screen), and then get my iPhone, I can see on the welcome screen Spotify still playing.I I then click on the “speaker icon” (red arrow points to it). This opens the following screen which allows me to select my SYMFONISK in my living room (now known as Unnamed Room). I can now stream music 😊
