I have a question, I have two Sonos one gen 2 speakers, a TV with 3 HDMI inputs and an Xbox Series S, Apple TV and a TV decoder.

I would like to connect them together and my question is if I buy a Beam gen 1 or gen 2 soundbar and an HDMI extender for the TV, will it be ok, or are there any dedicated amplifiers that connect to my Sonos one speakers wirelessly and also have 4-5 HDMI inputs on the back to connect preferred devices (Xbox, Apple TV, etc.)

The Beam takes care of the 3 front channels. You can then set up your Ones as surrounds, which communicate on a dedicated wireless link from Beam to surrounds. As all are amp-and-speaker units no additional amplifier is needed. AIUI, Beam is optical input but is supplied with HDMI to Optical adaptor so nothing else needed.

so I have to buy beam gen1 or gen 2, I'm still wondering which one to choose.

Can you advise what hdmi extender to buy for the tv to extend its ports, preferably one that switches itself when I turn on the source.

If I buy beam I will lack hdmi ports, one (arc) will go to the subwoofer, the second to the xbox, the third to the apple tv and I need one more for the tv decoder

 The beam should be connected to the TV HDMI port labeled ARC or eARC.  If the TV does not have ARC then you will need to use the optical adapter to be able to use the TV optical digital out.  If you want Dolby Atmos get the Gen 2.  The Ones can be used as surrounds.

 I don’t think you can plug the Beam into an HDMI extender.

 Why would you want an amplifier?

I have Arc in my TV so I can connect to Beam, I only have 3 HDMI ports in my TV and I have 4 devices to connect including Beam.

Previously I had an amplifier that had a lot of HDMI inputs and I connected all devices to it. I sold it so I have to connect everything to the TV somehow
