I’ve seen no effort by Sonos to recognize that Sonos needs realize their products need to offer a way to speed up sound to allow it to catch up to the video. Work on correcting you lip sync delay scale to go into the NEGATIVE area. Let’s say a range of -5 to +5. I really hoped to have seen solutions rather than blame being cast back to the tv makers. Unfortunately it’s not happening. So many people live with terrible lip sync issues and I’ve personally been forced to show captions to allow shows to make some sort of sense. in the meantime I’m never recommending Sonos to anyone.
Hello,I currently use a single Sonos One for music and an LG OLED without speakers for tv/movies. I’m thinking of upgrading with an Arc Ultra and two Era 100s for surround in order to improve both my music and movie experience.Right now, my One is in the middle of the room (red). From what I’ve read here and seen on the Sonos website, rear speakers should go behind the couch and be angled towards it (blue). My question is: If I set up the Era 100s like that, it will be great for movies and TV , but won’t the music sound worse if I’m anywhere else than on the couch (eg: in the kitchen) ? Since the speakers will be aimed towards the other side ? Is there a better way to do it ?If anyone has advice or tips, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
Good Evening,I am trying for months now to try to hear when I’m watching TV or a movie people talking/voices from my Sonos ERA100 that are behind my coach ok each side.i only hearing people voices from the Sonos BEAM. All is in surround mode… the people voices/talking do not come out clearly…I mostly hear the music from the movies I am watching.would it be possible to have some help ?
why does the sonos app no work on macos? I’ve tried downloading it from the sonos website and all it keeps saying in the sonos app from the sonos website is that sonos needs to get the latest software?says:We need to get Sonos running on the latest software.Choose Check for Updates to get started.
My system: Beam Generation 2, Sub Mini and One SL and One as surrounds, with Apple TV 4k Generation 3 with 128 GB, LG TV 60” with EARC outputI was not getting Dolby Atmos from the Apple TV, just Dolby Digital 5.1 even with HDMI 2.1 cables. Couldn’t even get to the Immersive Audio option in settings on the Apple TV. Then I saw this from Apple’s support page: “Apple TV 4K uses a high bandwidth form of Dolby Atmos that doesn’t work over ARC connections”. Apparently to get atmos you have to connect the Apple TV directly to the sound bar, which is useless if you are using a soundbar with one input like the Beam.Fortunately I also have a FireStick which immediately gave me the option for ATmos and is working fine. Would an EARC splitter like Arcana Fury enable to accomplish this with the Apple TV?
How can it be that since the new app Sonos didn’t manage to solve the problem with the grouping of several devices?I can start playing the same music streaming service individually on every single device but when I try to group these I get always the same error “Unable to connect. Try later “Terrible product. And even worse is that after months the problem is still not solved. any suggestions for good alternatives to Sonos? I’m tired of this. I want to replace my system with something better.
Can I connect 2x Era100 speakers with mini sub wirelessly. At this stage I can only get 1x era100 and mini sub to work together. Other Era 100 won’t join
Hi friends, can someone advise me if it is worth buying the sub gen3 or gen4? I don't know if there is a difference between the two. I only have an era 300.
Sonos makes a great product and is the leader in the wireless speaker whole home entertainment market. However, the Sonos website doesn’t make it easy for current users and/or potential buyers to determine (locate) which sub to use with a particular Sonos speaker, stereo pair or the Sonos Amp. The information does exist but requires a bit of searching to locate. Currently, the best answer is found obscurely under the Sub 4 page.https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/sub-4-black While either the full size Sub or Sub Mini will work in many different scenarios. The Sub Mini does have a few specific use cases wherein the full size Sub may be overkill depending upon room size and Sonos or 3rd party speakers employed. One specific use case for the Sub Mini is with the Amp powering Small Book Shelf speakers. I have the following setup:Sonos Amp ProJect Sonos Edition Carbon Turntable Cambridge Pre-Amp Definitive Technology Demand D7 Book Shelf speakers Sub MiniPrior to the Sub Mini I used a Sub (Ge
I'm changing my sonos system, I bought several items (ARC ultra ERA 300 and Sub mini) but at the moment I only received the sub mini when connecting to the app and although the process finished without problems I can't see my associated product, I've already tried several times and it remains, thank you for your help. At this time, the old system continues to operate until the entire new system arrives. Thank you
I have connected to optical output of my Sony Bravia TV to the Sonos sound bar.I had previously used the sound bar with a Panasonic TV and I used the TV remote to control the volume on my sound bar and surround Play1 speakers. While the sound from the TV is coming out of the sound bar I cannot control the volume level using the TV remote. Can I pair the Sony TV remote to the sound bar?
Hello, I have a Sonos Room portable speaker and a Sonos Room SL and I want to buy a Sonos Ray or Sonos Beam and possibly pair it with the two Sonos room speakers. I saw on youtube that this preset would not be compatible, and now I look at the Sonos.com page and see a system between a Ray and a Room? So if I buy a Ray or Beam soundbar can I make it work together with the two Room speakers for a more pleasant experience or not??
Mi pantalla me pide autorización para que se vincule a la sonos era 300, como acepto la sincronización? Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:My screen asks me for authorization to link to the sonos era 300, how do I accept the synchronization?
Hi. My bedroom has a Sonos Beam (Gen 1), two Sonos One SLs, and a Sonos Sub Mini. They’re linked as a system to my TV. Boxing Day’s coming, so I wonder if I need to upgrade. I don’t want to buy an Arc, because my bedroom’s not that big. I just wonder if I should upgrade to a Gen 2 Beam or replace those One SLs with newer products. I only play video games on my TV and I use those Sonos products as audio. Thank you.Moderator edit: changed “buy a beam” to “buy an Arc” on request
I have Amazon music. Playlists in Sonos favorites. Playlists in Amazon music on the Sonos iphone app. I can’t add songs to any playlist. I was able to do so, that’s how I created the playlists. The playlists have <50 songs, about 20 each. Why can’t I add songs now? Sonos help had me disconnect from Amazon music once, that worked for a while. Broken again. I doing that repeatedly is silly/stupid. Perhaps Sonos lost their way - it was simple to use, now it just breaks. Speaker quality is irrelevant if you can’t get them to play.
Sonos. You have a great brand. Potentially a great product. But..… How hard can it be.... In 2024..... For you to provide me a service, under the circumstances where I have invested over £1000 in hardware, where I am not sitting here at the end of a long and hard working day witth my wife trying to play music and yet saying "what the hell is going on!!!!". This should be a semaless service full of hope but it is a NIGHTMARE!. You should be at least a little ashamed.... It used to be SO GOOD. And yet now it is TERRIBLE!!!. I am baffled. I wish I could afford something different. But I can't. I trusted you. Please deliver on the trust.
We used to be able to search our NAS libraries by genre (as well as other tags)Is this still available? If yes, how?If not, will that capability ever be restored?
After years of using my fantastic Cocktail Audio X12 Music Server with Sonos we got the new app. After a year of update after update, I still cannot add my Music Server to my Sonos system. I am looking for help, and also now looking at different ways of playing music from my server. Sonos is going in the bin next year. Merry Christmas!!
I can’t believe Sonos Have suckered me again. From all the descriptions on the shop website I believed Ace headphones would connect to my Sonos network. I have now discovered that they are no more than Bluetooth headphones. I cannot access my music library which was the whole reason I bought them for. I have spent three hours this afternoon speaking to support Only to find the advisor, knew virtually nothing about the headphones and had to be told by a colleague eventually that it was impossible to connect. Do not buy this product if you think it has anything to do with the Sonos home system.
Why is it not possible to search for a song? When I look i can see the album cover: a scrub bar: a volume bar and other items- but no search- the old app let you search for a new song whilst listening to a tune... I have to back out of the screen 2 times to search... terrible... and the lag! Terrible
Waited for some time like many with Sonos products for the app update. I can finely use this huge investment I have made in Sonos again like so many have. All systems go and just in time for Xmas and I might just re invest in the the new Arc.A word to Sonos I made a big switch from Bose to Sonos because in my opinion you had the edge but something like an app renders it almost useless and on that note all the best to everyone.
I have headphones for my existing TV that come t via a standard red/white audio cables how do I connect it to the Sonos Arc SL while watching TV
I'm unapologetically repeating this topic because the answer 6 months ago was to wait for app updates. Surely 6 months is long enough to wait for basic functionality to be restored so can we at least have a forecast when we'll get it back please?POV: It's a well known adage in software development that you should never throw it all away and start again because you'll spend years getting back to where you were and rediscovering why each weird bit of code worked the way it did. Very sadly Sonos didn't know about this😥😥😥😥
I have an Arc soundbar connected to a Sub and 2 Sonos Ones... but I don't know if I should replace the Sonos Ones with two Five speakers that I have in another room to improve the sound experience of the system, or if the Fives would actually be redundant or wasted in that system... and if that's the case, it would be best to buy two Era 300s for that TV room audio system... what do you think? A. Leave Arc + Sub + 2 OnesB. Use Arc + Sub + 2 FivesC. Use Arc + Sub + buy 2 Era 300
Do any of the Sonos Speakers produce sound in stereo on their own or can I only hear stereo with two paired speakers? In either case which is the best to choose?
