So my post from yesterday enquiring about legal action has now been locked. Perhaps understandably.

Now, while I almost expect that, I don’t appreciate being locked down and not allowed to discuss the matter. I don’t care if it’s on Sonos website, that’s what a “Community Forum” is for.

Anyway, a decent web search leads me to believe pursuing this legally will be a waste of my time, though the satisfaction might be worth something.

I’ll be selling my equipment in the new year to the highest bidder. Absolutely rubbish.

“Something is wrong” …. Perhaps when the app tells me that (with no further way of diagnising the issue, maybe that’s the app crying for help. Because, yes, Sonos, your app got that 100% correct.

Bye

Let us know the outcome of your legal action in due course, please. There are many that would like to know how you get on.

I’m not sure what ‘free speech’ has to do with posting on a Sonos forum. You’re certainly free, within legal bounds, to speak your piece, but I think you’ve agreed to certain restrictions when signing up for posting on an owned forum.

More than just speak my piece, I would like to discuss my piece. If having your post locked up after about 24 hours for no good reason doesn’t seem restrictive to you then … I’m not sure what to say.

I’ve posted freely and discussed/criticised freely on other corporate and owned sites and not been locked up.

It appears indicative that Sonos seem extremely quick to act on this, but not on the app. Regardless of agreed restrictions.Odd that you’re so deferential to corporate legalese … which can be improved or changed to the higher standards of its interested parties at will … or left to languish as a spider web for those who do not hold them to a higher account.

Anyway … terrible app, restrictive forum indicative of its values, hence a terrible company … I’m out.

All best,
