Hi. Thinking of moving back to Sonos from the Sony HT-A9 and was wondering if anyone here uses an Arc Ultra with a LG C4 OLED Tv ? Any issues, problems etc ?

Hello @Marc_51, welcome back!

I had a look internally and there are no reports of ongoing issues with the Sonos Arc Ultra and LG TV’s.

Feel free to reply here if you decide to do the purchase, and let us know about your experience.

I just bought the Arc from Costco because they extended the warranty to 5 years instead of buying Arc Ulta from Sonos for only $100 more. The sound is AMAZING, even without a sub. The louder I go, the better it sounds, whether tv or music.

Zero issues of problems.

I have an older LG CX that I have been running with a Beam 2 without problems. I recently replaced the Beam with a Arc Ultra, merely by removing the Beam and plugging the wires into the Ultra. Setup was flawless, and the Ultra broadcasts in Atmos without a problem. Easy. Sounds great as a standalone. No regrets.

Just as a slight warning for others, if you have surround speakers attached to the original setup, go through the process to remove (un-bond) them before switching out the soundbar. It makes it easier to add them back to the newer soundbar.

I don’t have a C4 but have a C1 and am having major issues with the Arc Ultra after swapping out a regular Arc.

When the C1 is set to Pass Through mode, every audio format is “reduced” (Atmos content plays as Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 content plays as Stereo PCM). Troubleshooting is a hassle as whenever I get it working as expected, after about 10 minutes, the screen goes black, and the audio format changes OR the TV reverts to the TV speakers. I’ve tried so many potential solutions (rebooting, unplugging stuff, but nothing seems to be working).

Really hoping I can figure this out and that it’s not a “I have to replace the TV” type of thing.
