I’m interested in purchasing an Arc but have read several reviews wherein owners of certain Samsung TVs are having issues with compatibility. I have a 2019 65” Q80 TV. It has no eArc HDMI port, but does have an Arc HDMI port. Are there issues I should be aware of and can I be assured that I can experience ATMOS?Thanks,ZJS
Can someone please explain why there are constant and unending reminders to check for S2 compatibility on the apps? I am not a moron. I understood after the first check I cannot run S2. No matter how many times I am asked to check, no matter how many times i see a ridiculous notification, I will never discard perfectly good hardware. All this has done is provoke me to seek alternatives to Sonos which I am now implementing rather than make any further Sonia investments. But back on point, does anyone understand the reasoning behind this offensive behavior? Thank you.
Do Trueplay settings reside on the iPhone itself via S2, or in the speaker itself? Reason for asking is if I set Trueplay up through one iphone but actually use another when listening.
One thing that i do not get is. With the amp you can use exciting speakers to make a 4.1 setup. But even just with the general setup of aps. I do not get why they have not implemented the ability to add a physical center channel either via a new amp which has a dedicated center channel or as par of the app just like you add a sorround you should be able to add a center which could be something like (Play:3, sonos beam, play 5 and more i am sure)
Hi folks,I hope you are well.Any plan to implement WPA-E in the near future? My Sonos Move is waiting for it :) And in terms of security and compatibility, that would be definitely an improvement.I hope this will happen, sooner or later. Thanks for your supportAndrea
Hi! Recently bought a TCL ep685 and have connected my Beam to it. Audio is good, but have some sync issues here and there. If I turn the TV on/off it’s usually back to normal. Seems like if I set the “Digital Audio Out” to PCM instead of auto, the sync issue is gone, but audio is way worse. With auto it’s a lot better. Also it says DD 5.1 in the app with auto.Does anyone have experience with this or any solutions that doesn’t result in worse audio? Thanks
I have got a sonos home theater system with the playbase but I'm now thinking about replacing it with the arc. Will I be blown away by the difference or upset for spending £800???Please help Simon.
If you unplug one or both Sonos 5’s in a stereo pair or loose power, do you have to redo Trueplay?
Hello guys, hello Sonos!I would like to ask you what I need to buy for my whises? I want to have 5.1.2 system (DolbyAtmos) but I will have everything connected to a smart installation (GIRA).WIHSES:I don’t want to have a rear speaker for the sofa (only in wall - see in picture - ‘’stenski zvočnik’’) I would have two speakers above the sofa (see in picture -‘’stropni zvočnik) I would also prefer to have speakers in the wall with the TV (see in picture - ‘’stenski zvočniki’’ but I do not know if it is necessary. what is the sound from the wall speakers? it is better? I want to have good position but not professional.I like to watch movies and enjoy the good effects I don't want wi-fi sound system (because you have to charge) I don't want visible cables I will buy: 2x Sonos IN-WALL (for position at TV) 1x SONOS SUB 1x SONOS ARC (Dolby Atmos) (for position under TV) 2x SONOS IN-WALL (for position behind sofa) 2x SONOS IN-CELLING (for position above sofa)What do you think guys? Hello, for the past month, my Sonos doesn’t respond as it used to. I am unable to instantly control the volume or change a music track or radio station. I have 2 x Play3s and 1 x Pkay 1Any ideas ?ThanksSonal
Can I play what I am listening to on the Arc and on the Roam simultaneously?
I’m selling my Sonos Play 5 Gen 1. What do I need to do in order for the new buyer to use it?
It is really unbelievable that Sonos dares to force customers who bought products for thousands of euros to share location when one needs to add Sonos to a new WiFi router. I have bought the products when the terms were not as such, I find this disgusting. For me this is a reason to sell the products and look for alternatives.Customers should not accept suppliers become big brothers, or data gathering companies. Ok, when the product is cheap or for free, then it is understandable. But not for expensive products like Sonos.
So over a couple years I have collected several Sonos products. My current setup is a Sonos beam (my first Sonos purchase) in front, two play 5s as rears and a gen 3 sub. I want to upgrade my system again but I’m not sure if it would be better to replace the beam with the arc or just get 2 play 5s up in front with the beam. What do you guys think? What will sound better?
I would like to have the info popup’s disappear quicker as they sit there for a good 5 seconds and you can't change the volume while they are active. Has anyone else experienced this? I was thinking they are no longer required after you have experienced Turning them on and off a few times. We all know what the buttons do after the first time using it and not being able to turn down the volume for what seems like ages while it blasts through the house is a total PITA. Maybe SONOS can put this in a future update of the app? Cheers 🍻
Customer suggested adding the ability to bond a SUB with 2 different Sonos devices.
Hi everyone,I have one Sonos1 (Left) paired with a 1 SL (Right). Am I able to add another 1 SL to this set up as a right channel for a 3 speaker set up or does it have to be done in pairs? Thanks
So it looks like actual Roam units are now available and have been sent to reviewers:https://www.theverge.com/22368487/sonos-roam-bluetooth-speaker-review-featureshttps://www.engadget.com/sonos-roam-review-130039811.htmlGenerally positive reviews.Maybe preorders will ship soon since they clearly got a bunch from the factory.
My mother in law is having a mirror TV fitted and needs external speakers but doesn’t want to see a soundbar underneath the TV or have speaker cables routed around her room. She is more concerned about how it looks rather than how it sounds and isn't after surround sound. What is the best way to use a L & R speaker connected to the TV without a soundbar?I guess I could use the ARC connection from the TV connected to a Connect Amp and send that to the 2 speakers but it seems like expensive overkill to use the amp for that. I’ve considered buying a beam to control the L & R speakers and hiding/muting it but am not sure how it would sound. I’ve been looking at other setups Like the Audio Pro bookshelf speakers but they need to be connected with a wire.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
There are a few things which need to be added to this app immediately (read on for my questions): First, different model speakers need to be able to be grouped in the same room. Sonos apparently claims that this is to prevent sound quality issues. We have some rooms with multiple of the same speaker and some rooms with multiple of different speakers and the sound quality difference that I can discern is precisely zero. Context - we have on the third floor a large room multiple play1 speakers. To stream directly to that room, I added a sonos one (which you have to do, because the system won’t allow you to stream directly to a play1). To my utter annoyance, you can’t pair these two different types of speakers to work together. So is it because of sound quality issues or just because sonos hasn’t bothered? If it is because of some imperceptible phantom drop in sound quality, allow me to confirm after exactly no market research that no one cares about that s***. Second, there needs t
Can I buy longer mains cables for Play:3 speakers? I need 3m cables at least. What types of connector goes into the back of the speaker? Can anyone post a pic?
My TV is LG oled65cx (2020), I'm connecting to the Sonos arc using the cable that came with the soundbar. I've checked all the boxes: eARC turned on etc, and Netflix shows Atmos for the show, but when I start it flashes "Dolby vision" and the Sonos app says "Dolby digital Plus 5.1. What can I possibly be doing wrong? I have unplugged the hdmi and power chords on both devices while switching to internal speakers in different orders but to no avail. Help?
I have bought the Sonos amp and hooked it up to totem signature one speakers and Sonos sub. Is the amp powerful enough to run these speakers? Totem Audio didn’t think the amp was. Suggested I contact Sonos. I couldn’t find anything on the internet to suggest the amp was. Critiques talk about budget speakers not higher end products. Appreciate your input.
Hi all,I’m new to Sonos and have recently bought the surround package with the Arc, One SLs and Sub v3. I’m enjoying it however becoming frustrated as the entire system disconnects on a weekly basis. Following the usual switch it all off, leave it for a bit and switch it back on does work, it a week later, it’s disconnected again. I don’t have issues with any other of my contraptions disconnecting from the WiFi, only the Sonos kit. Any help is appreciated.
Please see the attached blueprint of our living room. My plan is to acquire Sonos Arc and setup Sonos Ones as surround speakers next to the sofa. What I wonder here is whether it is a waste of money to get Arc as left to the tv there is no wall, just a corridor? Also the back wall is not straight. Any thoughts are appreciated.
