I'd love some Sonos planning advice. I have a Beam and two ikea speakers for the TV room and they work great. I would like to extend the sound into the outside this summer around the patio and pool area. In the past I had put a bunch of Alexa devices around and put them in a group - and put an alexa in the tv room with an input to the beam in the same group for music everywhere.To move my Sonos outside for the summer I could get 4 Sonos outdoor speakers ($2K) and amp ($800) plus wiring (not good) and still missing voice commands. I am wondering if getting 4 Sonos Roams ($920), keeping them plugged in and mounted is a good option. Can I put them in a group together, and then use the Alexa function from anywhere to play Spotify/Tunein etc. Also like Airplay/Bluetooth option if I can then play the connection on all four Roam speakers?I assume I could play outside as well as both inside/outside together. Would Alexa play nice with multiple Roam devices?Any other ideas/advice? Goal is to wa

5.1 Playbar Sub 2xPlay3 S2 Nvidia Shield 2019When watching Stereo PCM via Nvidia Shield (IPTV, Tidal, Netflix etc) I get Stereo Upmix on my surround speakers (Play3s), but when watching SOME STREAMS on Twitch (also stereo PCM via Shield) I don't get no Sound on my Play3s. Some other Twitch Streams (also Stereo PCM) play the sound as expected on the Play3s. What is Twitch doing different about Stereo? Thanks! 

Hi, I have a Sonos Move.  I’ve noticed when I turn the volume up to 58% The low-end cuts out completely and it only plays through its tweeter.. it also will randomly make sounds like it’s clipping about 55% as well.. has anyone experienced problems like this with their move, and do you know of a fix?

Hi guys. I have a Sonos Beam and I'm planning to purchase either the Sony XH90 (X900H in USA) 75'' or a LG CX 65''.My worry is that the Sonos Beam used to give me sound lag with my PS4 and my old Panasonic Viera, which I solved with a switch that allowed me to connect the PS4 via optical and the TV via HDMI. However, this won't be a solution anymore, as I sold my PS4 and I'm hoping to receive my PS5 this week, which does not have an optical out.I think I've read somewhere that with the LG CX this is not a problem as there's some "passthrough" option which solves this issue. Does anyone have a PS4/5, the Beam and the Sony TV who can comment of any sound lags issues and solutions?Thanks a lot.

I have four Sonos One SL speakers (2 in the living room and 2 in the bedroom) and wish to add one more, but I have a question and a problem.First, my problem: With the exception of Spotify (and perhaps 1-2 other apps I don’t use), in order to listen to anything on my speakers, it HAS to be accessed through the Sonos app itself (meaning you can’t just open your app and have it connect to the speakers) AND be on the Sonos app’s limited list of available apps. So you can’t use your speakers to listen to anything. Aside from the obvious inconvenience and significant restriction this places on your use of the speakers, there are other problems with this. An example: I have an app called Calm that offers nature sounds, meditations, soothing music, etc. I use it primarily as white noise because some of its nature sounds do a great job masking the noise from my upstairs neighbor. It won’t connect directly to my Sonos speakers, but luckily, it is available through the Sonos app. Great, you say.

Hi,I am new to Sonos, but looking to incorporate a number of Sonos products in my home as I complete a renovation.  I am working with an AV installer, but I have a couple questions, which I cannot find clear answers for and so I’m looking for some help.In the living room, I will be using a Sonos Arc + Sonos Sub + Sonos Amp/in-ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds. My installer is recommending that I use Monitor Audio C265 speakers as the in-ceiling speakers instead of the Sonos in-ceiling speakers, as he feels that they are a better speaker for the price point.  Here are my quesitons:If I use non-Sonos in-ceiling speakers (connected to Sonos Amp) for my rear channel in the 5.1 setup, obviously I will lose truplay calibration for the in-ceiling speakers.  However, will I also lose the ability to trueplay tune the Arc + Sub (since the non-Sonos in-ceiling speakers would be connected to that particular set up)?  What does the trueplay calibration do that I cannot do by manually adjustin

I have a Sonos AMP connected to an in ceiling speaker in the Master Bathroom.  I wanted more power and sound out of it as it gets drowned out by the shower running.  I put up 2 Sonos Ones.  The option is for surround sound, but now the surround sound base doesn’t make it sound as clear.  It sounds heavier base, like the volume from the surround is stronger than the main AMP in Ceiling speaker.  So my thought was to have 3 speakers - like a center, and 2 bookshelfs.  Is there a way to create 3 speakers (and not surround speakers) so its the same quality that can produce higher volume and sound?  I would prefer not to have the speakers listed as 2 rooms in my app to get that result, or should I just deal with it?  I probably should have just put in 2 ceiling speakers but this is where I am at.  I can adjust - most important to me is the quality of the sound and not the cost.

I’m swapping out my full-sized, wired 7.1 Klipsch to Denon AVR system, looking to know how upscale a Sonos system I can build as wirelessly as possible, eliminating the receiver and using an HDMI Arc or HDMI eArc connection from the TV. The only other connections to the system would be a Blu-Ray player (ideally routed through the TV via HDMI) and my phone (via the Sonos app).I'm guessing an Arc, 2 Subs, and 2 Play 5's for the rear channel would be the ultimate system achievable under currently available Sonos products? Or can Sonos do a 5.2.2 without an Arc or other soundbar? Or are there other Sonos soundbars that would be an improvement to the Arc if another pair of speakers were used for the upfiring Atmos channels?Can you use other, better Sonos speakers as the upfiring/height and FL/FC/FR channels? Swapping out my full sized Klipsch 7.1 + Denon AVR and wondering if it is possible to create a 6.2 4 Atmos system with one wired Arc connection to an Atmos-capable TV, 2 wireless Sonos subs and a 2nd Arc wireless connected to the rear for a 6.2.4 Atmos setup.Is this viable? Has anyone done it? Specifically, can 2 Arcs be connected to the same Atmos setup if only the one is wired?

Hi all,I have a Play:5 and I was thinking of getting a portable projector with screen mirroring capabilities (e.g. https://www.viewsonic.com/us/m1-1.html). My question is can the projector mirror the video on my iPhone (for the viewsonic at least it is a wireless network connection) and be able to play the audio through my Play:5 (using AirPlay)? I’ve been successfully using the S1 app for a couple of years to control my Play:5 but after adding a Play:3 I want both me and my wife to be able to control the speakers. My wife downloaded the S1 app and can use it fine but ever since she did I keep getting a message in my S1 app that it can’t connect to Sonos and no speakers are visible. It clears when she moves out of wifi range then i can control the speakers again.I always understood two people could have the S1 app in the same household and control the same speakers. Is this not the case? This is a showstopper for us if we can’t get it to work for both of us.Thanks

Hi,Trying to get help with adding Sonos one to the app. I have already added arc + sub + Sonos on Sl- but I’m trying to add my second one Sl and keep giving me the message “your Sonos one Sl has been added, but may not appear on the system tab, if so unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from the system tab” I’ve disconnected and reconnected, reset it at least 5 times, even tried to connect using a hard wire to the router (even though the actual router is only 15 cm) just in case it helps - but for what ever reason it doesn’t appear on the Sonos app (with the hope of getting the surround sound sorted). I submitted diagnostic (no 1745441989). now, just as I was writing this it did recognise this eventually but now now when I go to set up the surround sound the error message “there was an problem adding your surrounds. Cheack your network connection and make sure your products are powered on” which I can confirm they are all working individually on the network. Again

hey sonos - when r u going to get your supply chain filled? ... making your customers wait two months is an opportunity for them to leave u behind.. given the number of substitutes available these days. Also, u are killing your custom installer market..  our distributors have no status on product shipments.. naddaI have 12 items all on  back order  now..ordering a SONOS AMP thru your own store shows a shiopment date the end of MAY- really? 

Completely revamping my home theater, formerly wired 7.1 Klipsch to Denon AVR- S730H supporting a 55” non-Atmos Samsung. Looking to go smaller and (as much as possible) wireless (minimal wired connections going back to a central location) --- and definitely want to go Atmos (at least 5.1.2, but optimally 7.2.4 or 9.2.4, with Atmos channels firing up rather than emanating from ceiling speakers or true height channels).So, do I even actually need a receiver at this point? If I were to upgrade to a 2019 or 2020 65” OLED/Atmos LG with a single Blu-Ray player, do I even need a receiver? Or can I just go full Sonos with the TV as the Atmos processor for itself and the Blu-Ray player? I’m currently looking to begin my outdoor landscaping project and that comes with installing my outdoor speakers. There is no doubt these speakers will tie in to my home system as it currently has 9 amps. 2 arcs, and a port powering various different areas throughout my home. That being said I am tossed up and quite frankly not educated enough to make the right decision. Best Buy is currently packaging and selling the Sonance MAG series with an Amp at some pretty great prices. My confusion comes with the pricing. To the naked eye, the Mag 4.1 system and amp is $2,700 while the 6.1 system is $1,500. My fear comes that the power on the 6.1 will not be sufficient and being that the yard is very large, and there are no neighbors nearby, I want some good volume. The 4.1 system is rated for 250W @ 8 ohms while the 6.1 is 150W @ 5ohms. Can someone shed any light and knowledge on this for me? Which is the best system for me? Should I forgo the amp and use a port with a more powerful amplifier?

Both Sonos Arc and Apple TV only have HDMI port. Since Dolby Atmos does not seem to work with Airplay (correct?), I would need a HDMI splitter to connect both the Arc and my old projector. Would that work? What kind of splitter would I have to buy for DolbyAtmos to work? Or is there another possibility? A Toslink splitter for example? Thanks a lot for any advice!

I have seen many threads on backing up your Sonos playlist.  One guy indicated why would Sonos want to provide this feature.  For one it has been asked for a million times and I would think that Sonos buyers would want to have the capability.  Only thing I can think of is that there is some interest and financial benefit to Sonos to not provide that feature.  Seems simple enough.  I am building a playlist (2000+ songs) on one Sonos device at home.  I would very much like to export that playlist and import to another Sonos device at a vacation home. 

I can’t control my Sonos system volume from my Galaxy 3 watch. Has anyone figured this out? I can control the Sonos Pause and Skip functions from my watch. I have the Sonos S2 app on my Samsung Note 9 phone. To enable Sonos control on my watch, I followed these instructions: On the phone, open Sonos App Settings > App Preferences and turn on “Show Notifications,” “Show Lock Screen Controls,” “Control From Other Devices,” and “Home Screen Volume Control.” This worked, and the music app on my watch now has a Sonos option. It shows the title of the current song playing and the Pause and Skip functions work. The volume control is changing the Media volume on my phone, which would normally work, but on my phone there is a new slider labeled Sonos in my volume control. Its icon is a little box with the wireless lines in the corner, similar to the “Cast” icon in Chrome and YouTube for casting the display to a TV. Adjusting the Media volume slider on my phone (or from the watch) doesn’t cha

In the past it was not possible in a 5.1 setup to have the TV audio be in full stereo mode, it was stuck in surround sound mode. Does the new S2 app or the ARC Soundbar allow TV audio to be in full stereo mode?

Hi all, I have had the Sonos Arc and HDFury Arcana for 6 months and absolutely love both products. I have not had a problem until recently.Now when switching inputs between Live TV and the Apple TV via HDMI, I receive the Picture, but no Audio. For example, If I turn on the TV with Live TV as the input, then switch to Apple TV. I receive Video, but no Audio. It doesn't seem to matter which input is selected on start up.I have a Samsung Q75R, ATV 4K and Sonos Arc, connected via HDFury Arcana for eArc. I have tried fully resetting and reconfiguring absolutely every component, purchased all brand new HDMI cables.The only way to restore both Audio and Video is to unplug the Arc from the Arcana for a few seconds.To stop my daily frustrations was to remove the Arcana from the equation. I contacted Sonos Support yesterday and the lovely chap thought the Apple TV was a separate TV Display and couldn't understand why I was connecting the Arc to two separate TV’s. Needless to say, we didn't get

Hi - I have got a Sonos Move and want to connect a  SONY PS-LX310BT bluethooth turntable to it. When I put both into pairing mode nothing happens. The turntable doesn't automatically connect and has no screen to make it happen.  Anyone have experience of this? Or been able to make them happen. Thanks so much!
