I am writing this merely to add another voice to the crowd requesting 7.1 surround support added to the Sonos Arc. I already use 5.1, but would like to have a full 7.1 setup, at least. That’s all, thank you.
I just picked up a pair of Sonos One SLs from Best Buy to use as surrounds for my Arc and they arrived at my home in different product boxes - one black, one white. I couldn’t find much about this online besides one or two Reddit threads that said this was a “minor” product update where the unit is now more power efficient and the packaging more sustainable. Should I be concerned enough about having two different hardware revision units to ask for a replacement, or does it really not matter at all and they will play just fine with each other and give the same performance? Not sure how much under the hood ACTUALLY changed…TYIA!
Is there a way to have the Sonos Roam connect to a paired Bluetooth device automatically upon turning it on? It seems to default to the Sonos system and switches to Bluetooth only if I press the back button for 2 seconds or explicitly connect to it on the phone
I have read over 30 different support articles, and only 1 person seemed to have the same problem which lead to no help and the customer replacing there tv and giving up on the surround setting and switching to stereo, I have the main bar, sub, and 2 back speakers, all set up in app and attached as surrounds… output setup as Dolby 5.1, things like commercials and music use the surrounds, but actually watching tv or throwing on a movie surrounds stop working and sometimes will be on but extremely quiet and distorted…. Please help
I have an LG Nano9091 75” with an arc. Lately when turning it on it blasts my Arc att full volume! If I turn off the tv and do it a second time it goes to 0volume. Not sure if LG did an update. But the issue still happens. Should I lean toward the LG or the arc for the issue?
If i upgrade my play 5 gen 2 do I have to throw it away / trade it on or will they now let you continue to use / sell it on.
Hi All, Question for the forum about a 4.1 system with two amps powering passive architectural speakers (sonance). In our family room we will have this setup, with the two fronts (and phantom center) in wall around the TV. The rear surrounds will either be ceiling or in wall surrounds. I know the rear AMP will be effectively a slave to the front AMP, but would it make any difference to hook up both ceiling and in-wall to the “slave” AMP? I expect it may muddy the surround, but haven’t seen anything on this. In short, would using 6 passive speakers in a 4.1 set-up (with 4 in the rear/surround) add anything or actually detract? many thanks.
l'ARC, ne pas apporter de support, pour le mur ?
So I just purchased a Sonos home theater system along with a Sony Bravia X90J TV - can anybody tell me if a true fix exists for the sound dropping from the system and reverting back to TV speakers??? I was not aware of this when I purchased the system. Very disappointed. I have spent hours and tried all the fixes that people claim to have worked. Can anybody give me answer to a problem that I cannot believe exists!!!..Please try again or create a topic
Apologies if this has been asked before but I’m curious as to what people think. I’m thinking of getting a few speakers for the living room. I often sit at the piano and like to play along to what I’m listening to so I need a setup that won’t be drowned out by my (questionable) playing. My aim is to create a stereo pair and then position them each side of the piano. The conundrum I have is whether to go for 2 Ones and a Sub, which I assume (hope) will give me better separation of highs from lows OR 2 Fives without a separate Sub. I listen to a really wide variety of music including classical and Jazz so the mids and trebles are just as important to me as the thumbing bass. Thoughts?
Alarm can not be snoozed, it just starts playing music. It starts playing at the right time, but when I check my phone there is no option to snooze or anything, it looks like it's just playing music as normal. This problem has been since the last update.
I have an LG 43" 4k computer monitor that I'd like to use with my Sonos Beam and One's for surround sound using a FireStick 4K as the video input. However the LG monitor does NOT have ARC/CEC or optical output.I've tried using an HDMI splitter and confirmed that the audio/video is present on both outputs, but it doesn't work with the Beam. I get NO audio from the Beam.Is there a solution here, short of buying a 4k TV WITH ARC?Thanks!
I have a Note 10+ running on Android 11. I have recently noticed that when I play content from my Sonos app, that the controls do not appear when I view my notification panel on my phone I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos. I have also restarted my phone. Still having this issue. I have notifications enabled as well.
Why must i be forced to use an APPLE iphone to set up room surround sound or dolby atmos.Does Apple own sonos??It would have been nice to see a warning on the Costco site. Also if you have an android phone you will need at least Android version 8 or better. You don’t find this info until you start trouble shooting on the Sonos site. Very unhappy with the hype about how good this system is
Hello! I wonder if it is possible to play Atmos music by Apple music on Sonos with all Atmos features? If yes, how to made that?
How do I enable the TV to turn on and off thru the Sonos Arc using an Amazon Firestick (4K) ? The Setup:Arc connected to TV through HDMI ARC ( not eARC ) Samsung TV and Firestick both have CEC enabled Firestick controller has been set up with Sonos using the app to trigger a “push volume up”. After this Firestick controls Arc volume just fine. Firestick can control TV on/off just fine if I hold fire stick in a way TV IR sensor can see it - but difficult now that Arc is in front of TV. Arc’s rear IR repeaters are on I’ve tried pulling Arc farther away from TV so repeaters can hit TVHow can I turn TV on/off using Firestick remote thru Arc ?
Can we use 4 Sonance in Celling Speaker with 1 Sonos AMP ?? And how many watts is the in celling speaker ??
With the Port currently not available until late 2021 as a workaround, I am attempting to use the Connect (Gen 2) to stream music on an existing amplifier and speakers. I have found a used one on Ebay. Before purchasing, I want to know if this is still feasible.
So looking for a solution for an outdoor speaker on a summer house in the garden.Have seen Sonos do fixed outdoor speakers but they are out of my price range.I was wondering if a Roam would work?If I could mount it on the wall and keep it plugged in would that work?
Has anyone noticed the Move sounding different/less robust when connected via Bluetooth vs WiFi to the same audio source? I understand the technologies transfer audio differently, but are they both lossless? Is there an audio source setting that can be adjusted to make the transfer more similar? Thanks,Mike
When will these be available to purchase. Been trying to order for over 6 months
I just received the Roam and am starting to use it. When I’m on wifi, it works great. The minute I go off wifi onto 5G, the app is completely useless. The music that I’m listening to still plays, but I can’t do anything else via the Sonos App. This seems like a pretty big limitation considering that most people will probably be using the speaker on the go (beach, boat, park, etc). So when you’re away, it’s really just another portable speaker. I’m assuming most people will start to discover this and wonder why, as Sonos didn't really mention that this would happen.
Hi all, Currently we have three pairs of SONOS Play:1’s and we have the issue that the music stops a couple of times a day. However, we don’t see any interruptions in network traffic or latency drops. Those speakers are connected over Wi-Fi into the ‘SONOS’ vLAN.To be complete: we are a midsized company (120 employees) with a substantial IT infrastructure: firewalls, vlans, routers, switches, servers etc… Currently we have a ‘SONOS’ vLAN that has no restrictions outbound.Since this is failing that much, we would like to replace the lot and -whilest we’re at it- extend the installation to a couple of the floors/rooms that aren’t covered for now (only the workshop is covered now). This would probably need about 15 speakers. We don’t want to buy 15 SONOS sets (whether it’s a ONE or ONE SL or standard speakers connected to an AMP) without being 99.99% sure that this will work. Please share your experiences in ‘big’ environments.Any thoughts or suggestions?(My experience: my home infrastructur
Okay, the title is quite a handful, but I couldn’t come up with a simpler one (suggestions welcome) so bear with me.This is a summary of what I learnt to fix my problem based on these other topics which are quite a mess to read through:and many more...In this post I hope to help out all the people that were using an iTunes network library, either from a computer or on a server to play music on their sonos systems. Specifically I’ll focus on the usability, since I was used to just copying their iTunes folder on to my NAS and have it work perfectly as a NAS music Library with Sonos and how to get it to work with the new updated Music App, that replaced iTunes. This might also be helpful for people with playlist issues or general issues on getting their new OSX Music Library to work with Sonos.General Information: Since Apple decided to replace iTunes with Music, it no longer creates an XML file for the library. This is an issue because it’s exactly that file that we need to have your NAS
What is a good replacement for Sonos. Since they no longer support my devices such as a Connect:Amp I need to replace it. And I'll be damn if I give another penny to Sonos so they can drop support on it later. My Connect:Amp devices disappeared after installing the S1 app.Dale
