I've ordered the full ARC 5.1.2 system which is on back order until the end of Oct. My movie room is only 9m square (3m x 3m) and I've seen some reviews saying that your room needs to be at least 16m square to benefit from the sound as the system would be too overpowering for any rooms smaller than this, anyone have the full set up in a small room like mine? With the Beam 2 offering artificial Atmos I'm wondering if I'd be better swapping the Arc for the Beam 2 however there aren't any reviews in it yet and I'd want to know what the Atmos effect is like before making that decision.
Hi everyone, First time Sonos purchaser here! I recently purchased my very first condo and am hoping to have a Sonos setup in order to bring the music I love to life. I’d really appreciate this community’s help coming up with the ideal Sonos setup + which speakers I should buy. Details on my music preferences, condo size, and pictures are below: MusicSpend most of my day listening to music so it’s a big part of my life and would want crystal clear and undistorted sound even at high volumes Would love to have bass included Genres: dance/electronic/deep house, hip-hop, r&b, neo soulCondoSize: 627 Sq.ft, 1-bed Pictures and floor plans attachedBudgetBudget is roughly $2,500 CAD Ideally I’d like sound throughout the Condo (living area, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, balcony) but if this blows my budget, then I’m happy just focusing on the Living/Dinning/Kitchen areaThanks for your help in advance! Hi,I have one pair of Bose speakers currently on my Deck powered by Bose amplifier.I am planning to add another pair of speakers on my patio.I want to have the flexibility of able to control each pair separately - i.e., I want to be able to play same music on both pairs, or switch off one pair. Or even control volume on each pair.I am planning to buy two SONOS amp to do this and connect each pair separately to each SONOS Amp. Will it work? Will I be able to control each pair separately OR all together - Play same or different music on both pairs, or even turn off one pair. Also, for another pair of speakers, do I stick with BOSE outdoor speakers , or I can buy any other speaker with causing any interference? Thanks
So please note this is different from: That topic is discussing multiple SONOS networks. I just want to connect to a new network, without another Sonos setup.Use case:I have a small Sonos setup at home, with the controller app on my phone. I have a Roam on that network, working fine. I go on holiday, with my phone, laptop, and Sonos. I connect the phone, and the laptop, to the WiFi at the hotel or wherevever I want to connect my Roam to the same networkI cannot work out how to do this.I proceed through the app guidance on connecting to a new network, and of course it cannot find the Sonos Roam, since the Roam isn’t on the network. (See screenshots below). I can connect to the Roam fine by Bluetooth, and it seems that logically I should be able to “send” the credentials for the WiFi network to the Roam so that it can connect, but there isn’t a way to do this. The help just tells me to go through the process shown in the screenshots.Presumably I could factory reset the Roam, uninstall th
Any idea why when I open my favourites play list in sonos its does not match the order I saved them in deezer.. bit of a pain as I have to manually scan my sonos play list to see where my last most up to date favourite song has saved.. it would be great if both lists where synced which each list matching in most recently added decending order..
I have Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3. The firmware is updated to the latest release. True play done and EQ set. Despite everything, the mids and highs on Arc sound very feeble. The fidelity on Arc feels underwhelming especially considering it’s a very expensive Soundbar so sound quality should be of paramount importance. Sonos doesn’t seem to be addressing a very major issue with Arc and I have seen multiple forums with lack of clarity around mid-high range. This affects dialogue, speech and loudness of the system. Coming from Bose 700 Soundbar, ARC is no match for Bose”s handling of mid and high frequencies. The subwoofer however is the best and beats the Bose Bass Module 700 easily. Can we please expect Sonos to give an ETA to provide a software update to fix this or should this product be returned?
I have arc in one room, and two surround one sls in another room. It's there an easy way for me to setup arc with surround in case I'm watching a movie? I want to temporarily move the ones, watch a movie, and place them back. Or the ones need to be retuned each time?
Just had an aha moment today listening. I have a set of Play 1s (Blue Note Editions but same as other versions just a unique color) in my 12’ x 15’ Office. While normally I have these as background music as I am taking phone calls, working, etc. I had an opportunity to let the dogs out today as I was doing a bunch of cleaning in the office, no work. WOW, I just realized how incredible they sound when paired up with Sonos Radio HD (listening to Guitar Gods) station and turned up (maybe 25%). While one of them would be good enough in a room this size I just need the stereo channeling for my tastes and I was just blown away. The interplay, detail and the fine tuning that they have done with these in conjunction with it is just awesome. If you are ever in doubt between 1 or 2-get 2 you will never be sorry.
Create a new topic because Sonos One not working on m1 Mac mini through Airplay | Sonos Community was marked as answered incorrectly. Could anyone confirm that Sonos is not compatible with M1 Mac? Just got a new mac mini, but I can’t Airplay music to my Sonos One Thank you
Well the title says it can I stand the port on its side? Will it cause issues with heat build up or anything? cheers
Bonjour est ce sonos compte revoir le Sub ? En sortir un plus gros avec au moins des hauts parleurs de 10 pouces, peut importe l encombrement plus le haut parleur est gros mieux c est. Bonne soirée à tous le monde
I’ve read that the Boost is not compatible with Move. Is it compatible with all other current speakers? Or, does anyone know what products it is not compatible with? I want to add One SL speakers to my system but will need help from the Boost to make it worth a purchase.
I use sonos beam with my Samsung smart tv (2018- not sure the model #). When watching Samsung tv plus, when the commercials come on they are 2x times louder than the tv program. So, I have to either keep the remote handy to turn it down or ask Alexa to turn it down. Every 5-10 minutes. In Samsung sound settings, I can’t choose the “auto volume” option says “function not available” so wondering if there’s a way to do this with sonos settings. It’s driving me nuts :)
Seems like there’s zero benefit from putting Roam into sleep mode instead of turning it off. Drains battery and does not offer the convenience of remote wake up from app. Then what’s the point of the sleep mode?
Hello, I am getting ready to purchase a Sonos ARC and a SUB.for surround speakers I am going to get the “In-Ceiling Set”https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/amp-and-ceiling-set.htmlWill these all work together? Does anyone have this setup? Are they happy with it?I was trying to find some docs on how I would connect the Sonos ARC and the AMP that comes with the “In-Ceiling Set”Thanks for any help
Dear Sonos, please work with Synology to create a “Service” to access Synology Audio Station. If SMB2 is so difficult, then surely it would be less work to add a “service” (same as there is for Apple Music and Spotify) that can access local Synology Audio Station. Thank you.
Anyone know what the problem is with availability of the Sonos Beam in black?Consistently shown as out of stock and only available in white. Same problem with main stores. Is it just a supply problem for the UK or is it being discontinued? Hopefully not!
Hello, I have sonos beam and one sl (surrounds), 5.0 setup. past few weeks I hear this distortion when there is a bass (when output is dolby 5.1) Initially, I sent videos to Sonos tech/support and they sent me a replacement stating harware issue.Meanwhile I bought a beam from costco and tested and had same issue with that brand new beam. Tested with replacement beam from sonos and had the same issue. After all this testing, I realized it’s not the hardware issue. My tv is sony xbr65x900f. when I watch same content via firestick 4k, I do not have any issues. what might went wrong?I had this set up for like 3 months and had no issues watching content in my sony tv (android os). any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks!
I recently purchased a new home and a 75” Samsung 2021 Frame TV. My ceilings are 10’ tall and the wall the tv is going on is 15.5’ wide. The main viewing seat is 15-16’ from the wall. The room over all is a large open concept kitchen and living room. I don’t have a measurement but I would guess 25-30’ deep and about 18’ wide. I’ll include photos from the real estate listing (Previous owners furniture). I’ve marked the tv location and main seating in green. I plan to also mount a Sonos Arc underneath the tv and add a sonos sub in the near future. Another unique feature is my baseboard trim is a foot tall. Typically I have hung TVs where the center is at eye level but I’ve never had a room or tv this big. With the added distance from the tv I’m thinking it needs to be mounted higher than I normally would. I also need to account for the sound bar underneath (seems like this is the best location). Any insight or suggestions are appreciated.
Mod edit - added English translation from Google Translate:Hello I have sl sonos that only works with wifi but I no longer have an internet box so the sl sonos can no longer work if I buy a Sonos beam connect directly to the tv with the hdmi is what the sonos sl will be able to play music or a movie via a usb key connected to the tv.
Is their a recommendation for a TV brand/model that has eARC capabilities that is reliable for receiving a Dolby atmos signal? Realize this is a loaded question but any recommendation on a good performer (s) would be helpful. Preferably, a TV that is “tried and true.” Thanks
I have a Sonos “Port” set to pass through mode which is connected to my hifi (Peachtree Nova 300) so that I get “hi res”. The latest change announced which says that Sonos handles Qobuz 24/48 is interesting but it’s not very clear how it “works”. For instance, does it mean that I can turn of the pass through and get 24/48 at the Peachtree and the Peachtree still does the DAC?ThanksMark
can Playbar surround (play3 and Sub) support dolby atmos with apple tv 4k 6gen and i have old tv
This issue just started happening last week. I have an Arc & 2 SLs connected as surrounds. When I turn off the TV using my Xfinity remote, the TV goes off & the audio stops briefly. After about 3 seconds the lights on the speakers turn green & the audio feed comes back on. I cannot get it off…..so have been muting it. Any ideas?
We have the following currently: 1x Playbar, 2x Play 1, and 2x One SL.My wife REALLY wants to just pick a CD from our collection and put it into a player an play. I have tried the ripped CD route and it just isn’t her cup of tea. I see that the Five can play CDs and for an extra $100 it makes sense to me to just get that instead of the Port. What CD player can someone recommend that doesn’t break the bank (I see Dennon and others for like $400 which seems excessive just for something to play CDs)? I guess it would need the 3.5mm jack output to go into the Sonos Five? Looking for recommendations that don’t involve ripping my CD collection and a decent CD player $100-200 that will work with Sonos Five
