Seems like there’s zero benefit from putting Roam into sleep mode instead of turning it off. Drains battery and does not offer the convenience of remote wake up from app. Then what’s the point of the sleep mode?

Sleep mode drains the battery slower than if the Roam is left on.
Sleep mode also gives you the ability to wake the Roam remotely by opening the Sonos app. If the Roam was shut off completely, you would have to manually turn on the Roam by pressing the button.
