Hi All,I would just like to log yet another feature request to be able to add two Moves as the rear surrounds to a 5.1 surround setup. I understand it’s not an existing feature and I understand the response that it wasn’t the original intent for the Move. That being said, I would just like to log yet another request for that capability to be added to the Move if it has the hardware capabilities to do so. Thanks!
I know this has been requested before, but trying again :) I’ve only owned my Arc (+sub +surrounds) for a week, but I’ve already had a couple of times where the TV cannot see the Arc via HDMI-ARC so I get no sound. Having used other HDMI-ARC connected sound systems, this seems to just be a fact of life and I don’t think there is anything specifically wrong with my Sonos gear or set up. A good old ‘turn it off and on again’ is all that is required to fix it, but that is unfortunately an utter nightmare as the Arc power plug is buried away where it is very hard to get to. Please, please, please can we have a reboot device/system function in the controller app. Or even a key combination on the unit itself to get it to reboot. Apple provide the ability to reboot Homepods from the Home app and it is very useful.
I currently own a Sonos Arc that I use in a main entertaining room in my house. I am looking for suggestions on what additional speakers I should add to enhance the sound. Also, looking to play music louder.
Setup is Xbox Series X → LG CX (using included HDMI 2.1 cable) → Sonos Arc (via eARC port 2 using included Sonos HDMI cable) LG CX Audio Settings: Sound Out - HDMI ARC, eARC - On, HDMI Input Audio Format - Bitstream, AV Sync Adjustment - Bypass, Digital Sound Out - Pass Through Xbox Series X & what Sonos app reportsUncompressed 5.1 is reported as Multichannel PCM 7.1. I'm looking at the ceiling speaker package with Amp. What size room would these speakers be appropriate for? Can anyone comment on sound quality compared to say a set ofPlay5s?
Hello everyone!I have a customer that has a Sonos Amp, sub, Arc, and two Sonos in-ceiling speakers. I need to connect them all for his home theater. I’m also installing all of the cabling. What is the correct connection configuration? My confusion lies with the Arc. If I use the HDMI-ARC to feed the Amp, how do I get signal to the Arc speaker? Through the ethernet port? Or does the Arc get the HDMI-ARC feed, then ethernet to the Amp? I can install any cabling I need. The TV and the Amp will be side-by-side.

13.3 Release Notes:We’ve improved Roam’s power management to help extend Roam’s battery life when it’s not actively being used. The Sonos app will now alert you when your Roam is connected to a charger that isn’t providing enough power to charge the battery. When your Roam is in sleep mode, you can now wake it up using the top playback buttons (in addition to the power button on the back). Two Roams in a stereo pair will now automatically rebond to each other if one of them unexpectedly disconnects from the network and then reconnects.https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3521?language=en_US
Hi! I have an Arc, a Sub and two Ones in my tv room. I would like to add ceiling speakers with an Amp. I have a couple questions and wonder if y’all could help? Will the Amp and ceiling speakers be a part of or add to the Dolby Atmos provided by my current system? I want to install the Amp in the attic next to my router. Can I connect the Amp with an ethernet cable and still use all the Atmos and surround sound benefits? This way I would be able to do all the wiring without messing with speaker wires in walls. All wires would be routed in the attic space. How effective would the ceiling speakers be if not sitting directly under them? And finally, at app $1300, will the addition of ceiling speakers be worth it? I know it is subjective, but $1300 should provide a noticeable improvement! thanks,John
Quels branchement faut il prévoir?
We have a Canton sound bar at present on the TV,which could be programmed to use the tv remote control, its ok but nothing spectacular. Listend to a Sonos Beam, not really that impressed. I see Sonos have refurbished playbars for sale, remember listening to them a few years back, very impressive. I was thinking of one to replace the canton. Would a Playbar work with the TV remote, the Canton has an option to programe a TV remote to control it. There is a Sonos One & SL in stereo in the lounge controlled by an echo dot, i wont be needing them with the playbar, but can i leave the Echo dot to use with the playbar mainly for playing Amazon Music. I definetley am not interested in setting them up with the playbar, surround sound doesnt interest us. Any advice appreciated
I would like to see some new features in the iPhone app. the introduction to screen widgets. Controller, what’s playing, alarm on / off an Easier way to turn an alarm on and off from the app.
Hey! I’m thinking about purchase a Sonos Beam and a pair of Sonos ones, my question is the following:As my TV doesn’t have ARC/eARC nor optical output, I’m thinking about purchase this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FR4771P/ref=emc_b_5_t to connect my Roku ultra to, output sound to Sonos and then connect it to my TV, you think will work? Or I need a new TV/Apple tv 4k and output through AirPlay 2?
This is strictly my opinion based upon my listening experience. I do not work for the companies whose products are mentioned nor do I receive any monetary compensation or gifts. Although, if a publicly traded company said company may be part of my stock port-folio.I've lived with a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable in Black (Sonos Edition) mated to a Sonos Amp, Sonos Sub and Definitive Technology D7 speakers w/off-set tweeters ($499.99/Pair) for two years. Total package cost $2696.99. Granted some high-end turntables start at $1200 on the low-end...so in the grand scheme of things my package is modest at best. However, that’s not the point of this post. The question to debate is...should you be satisfied with a turntable that has a built-in Preamp or one that requires a separate (outboard) Preamp. Luckily the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable in Black (Sonos Edition) allows you to use Line-in with it’s built-in Preamp or switch to Phono and by pass it to use your own (separate) Preamp. The

I have an S2 Sonos system of two ports and a connect and now with a roam on my network at home. The roam keeps disappearing off of the app and i have to power down and back on to get it back. Have spent some time now with sonos help and they tell me that I have to reconfigure my router and network to enable it to work properly! What!!?? They are selling a product that does not work seamlessly with 90% of the home networks in the UK - are u kidding!? Apparently I have to either turn of the 5Ghz (whatever that means) channel of my router (any ideas of how to do this anyone?) and/or give it a separate SSID!!??? Any ideas welcome. I can cook a mean chicken roast but have no idea of what any of this means. SONOS GET REAL!! MY wife has now purchased a Denon bluetooth speaker for the home so she can listen to Radio 2 without hassle from her mobile phone - which your Roam never managed to do properly. Thanks Sonos for making a totally duff product! You guys need to get this sorted for the aver

Hi, All.I just set up a surround system using a Beam Gen2 and 2 Play 1 speakers. The DAC on the Beam has the ability to play 24-bit audio, whereas the Play 1’s and limited to 16-bit. My question is, in this setup, when streaming Hi-res 24 bit audio, is the Beam DAC used for all speakers (“upgrading” the Play 1s), or is the stream downsampled in the Play 1s ( I know the Beam is playing the full 24-bit resolution)? Any thoughts much appreciated,Brian
Hello, anyone have a referral for a Sonos consultant/installer in Scottsdale AZThank you
This is an odd questions but as a relatively new sonos user Im loving the community so I though I’d ask…..I bought 2 x Sonos ones (gen 2) a few months back and fell in love. Bought a new (half decent) turntable and a Sonos five to plug into - all working well. My intention was to buy another five to run as a stereo pair for the turntable but in Australia stock is zero so I haven’t been able to buy one. So strangely I am listening to the stereo ones and the five (vertical) TOGETHER whilst I wait for stock. Because I have them set up together it’s easy to compare the stereo ones separately with the five (vertical and horizontal). They are all tuned via the app too. Generally the stereo ones sound much better than the single five. Would that be right? It seems odd to switch from the stereo ones to the five and prefer the ones considering the five is a much more HiFi speaker. Obviously when I play them together the five fills in some bottom end but, I just assumed I would switch to the f
Hi I have right now a surround with 1 beam, 1 sub and 2 play:5. Working great. But my question is. Can I, without removing the surround speakers, listen to for example Spotify only on the play:5. With or without as a pair?
I have a sonos beam connect to my TV via the HDMI ARC cable and two surround speakers Play 1’sThe rear speakers are much louder than the Beam when listening to music but adjusting the volume just increases the surround speakers level but if I turn the volume down all I can hear is the rear speakers and nothing from the beamAny idea what adjustment I need to make please
