We have a Canton sound bar at present on the TV,which could be programmed to use the tv remote control, its ok but nothing spectacular. Listend to a Sonos Beam, not really that impressed. I see Sonos have refurbished playbars for sale, remember listening to them a few years back, very impressive. I was thinking of one to replace the canton. Would a Playbar work with the TV remote, the Canton has an option to programe a TV remote to control it.  There is a Sonos One  & SL in stereo in the lounge controlled by an echo dot, i wont be needing them with the playbar, but can i leave the Echo dot to use with the playbar mainly for playing Amazon Music. I definetley am not interested in setting them up with the playbar, surround sound doesnt interest us.   Any advice appreciated

Yes, please see this article to setup TV remotes: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3402?language=en_US

You can control all Sonos speakers via an Echo device.  The set-up is determined by the use of Alexa Groups: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3169?language=en_US

Thanks for the very helpfull reply, unfortunetly i ran this idea past my partner last night and she is not at all keen on the Playbar at all, mainly the visual aspect of it, as it wont fit on the shelf under the tv unit, i knew this and was just putting it ijust n front of TV, which she strongly objects to. No point in trying to change her mind. I’ll just have to look at other sounbars. Thanks for all the advice
