Just posting this for those who may experience a similar problem.I replaced my Sonos Beam with a Sonos Arc.My typical TV viewing is FUBO, Netflix, Prime, and YouTube. We mostly watch FUBO during the day for news and sports and the other services for movies and series at night. The Beam was connected to a Samsung QN90A HDMI eARC port. The Beam worked fine. When I connected the Sonos Arc to the same port, FUBO audio was cutting out for 5-10 seconds every minute or so. Netflix and the rest were fine.I spent two hours on the phone with Sonos with 3 different techs and got nowhere. They tried, but in the end, did not fix the issue. One solution they had me do was to connect the Sonos ARC via an Ethernet cable to my router. I complied but as I thought about, it made no sense.I finally solved the issue by changing the setting on the TV so that the HDMI ARC port was set to regular ARC and not eARC. If I watch anything but FUBO, I switch it back to eARC to get the full sound.I contacted FUBO
I’m looking for a new set up in my living room. It’s quite large at around 7.5m x 4.5m I already own the following;x2 gen 1 subsx1 playbar x2 play 3s x2 ones x1 play 5 the playbar and sub will be moved into the master bedroom now, the x1 ones will go into the kitchen. For the new living room I was thinking… The play 3s mounting up each corner of the living room as surrounds and buying a new gen3 sub and having two subs in the living room. (I’ve read you can link a gen 1 and gen 3 sub together) buying a Sonos arc as my new playbar and then buying a new Sonos 5 and having both the play 5s in the living room to for music listening (I’ve read you can link and gen 2 and gen 3 play 5 also) would people approve of this set up for a living room of this size …
So, WD have been sending emails saying support is ending for their MyCloud for the past few month with this line in it: After April 15, 2022, your device will no longer receive remote access, security updates, or technical support.I’m guessing that remote access means that I won’t be able to access my music libraries stored on it via my Sonos system? If it helps, both my WD and Sonos devices are connected to the same router. Any ideas? WD said they would be sending a discount voucher this month, but the devices on offer come with way more storage than I need and also way more than I want to spend on a new device that I don’t really need to buy as the current one was working fine. I swear manufactures do this just to get more revenue for themselves.
What's up folks?I have an existing Sonos system throughout my home. A couple Play:5s and few Sonos Ones throughout. About a year ago I decided to build a vintage HiFi system. I want to integrate the two systems, so I'm considering picking up a Port. Anyway, long story short, all the line level inputs on my preamp are currently being used. I want to upgrade my cd player and I'm considering a dedicated transport only player (no on board DAC). My question is, since I only have one AUX input, can I connect the Port to my AUX input on my preamp then connect a transport only CD player to the Port. Effectively killing two birds with one stone. Adding streaming to my HiFi system while simultaneously using the port as a DAC for the CD transport? Will this work?Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time,Kyle
Every time I turn on my TV, the Sonos Arc doesn’t switch to the TV input (it is set to do so automatically). When I try to do this manually in the Sonos S2 app, the following error message shows: Connection Issue We’ve detected an issue with your HDMI connection. We’ll help you fix it. Cancel | Fit it When I click “Fix it”, the TV connection wizard starts with the following steps: Please run on your TV è It is on already so I click “My TV is on” Connecting with HDMI-ARC è Continue Look for the ARC port on your TV è I found the ARC port Connect your Arc to ARC è I’m connected to ARC Connecting… è We are not getting a signal Try again starts over with step 4 resulting in step 5 Try again, but now I set my TV’s output to HDMI2 (i.e. my HDMI-ARC port). I see the Sonos groovy 50’s lines and when I now click “I’m connected to ARC” the message shows “TV setup complete” Click done Set my TV to any source to play some content and the Arc plays music (and the Sonos App shows it’s co
I have 3 Play 5s (gen 2), a Sonos One and a Connect. Everything worked fine. I decided to add 2 SLs to a couple of other rooms, fill out the sound in my house. What an idiot. I’ve tried 2 PCs, 2 different phones, keep getting bounced between S1 and S2. Managed to add one of the SLs to a now new network but now nothing works. PC doesn’t see the new system, phone seems to find the system but doesn’t play. Didn’t even take the second SL out of the box, figured I’d get the system working first before I tried to add it. (Yes, I know the Connect is not compatible. No way to remove it from the app.) Try to open S2 on my primary phone, tells me to open S1 Controller. Do that and it tells me to update my system. I finally got something to play using my spare phone but not my desktop PC and not my main phone. iPhone 12 Pro. No access to my library or saved music sources. Windows 10: “Sonos system not found.” Of course, no one in tech support is available. Who would need help with a music system
Hello everyone and well found, I hope you are all well ... given the period …Greetings from Rome and Italy :-)I have a home theater system consisting of Arc and One SL. Now I would like to add Sub Gen. 3I have a question, certainly trivial for you ...Regarding the Sub Gen 3, what is the ideal location for its installation. Is it better "front" (but on the side of the TV), or can you put "side"? Or "oblique"?I know that with the Trueplay setup then it fits the room acoustics, but I would like what the guideline or recommended is.I made some screenshots on the fly numbered from 1 to 4 (forgive the banality, but you should guess the purpose anyway ...), in order to facilitate the discussion to understand what you are referring to Again, I know that the configuration via the App helps, but I would like to know on a technical level what is the ideal position that this Sub should more or less respect in your opinion of Sonos. Thanks a lot for the support! Hello everybody.
After many years of brow beating, I have sacrificed my amp and 5.1 set up, the Mrs is now much happier, but on the understanding a more discreet soundbar will be forthcoming.I have a couple of 1’s and a 5 in other rooms, so the Arc is top of my list as a replacement. My problem is my TV, isn’t bang up to date, so connection wise I’m at a bit of a disadvantage when bringing my other equipment into the equation. At some point, I will upgrade my TV, which should make everything much more compatible, but in the meantime, what I have is still pretty decent, as it was quite a high spec TV when first released. So, my Panasonic TX-58A802B has only one arc hdmi that will handle 4K. (hdmi4)Hdmi 2 is arc, hdmi 1&3 are standard, and we also have a digital out available too.I need to connect Sky Q, a Panasonic 4K BluRay player, and a 4K Firestick. The TV is wall mounted, so can somebody suggest the best connection route to maximise the Arc, until I upgrade my TV? Thank you in advance.
I cant get my two Sonos one speakers to play any sound from them i have a playbase too and the speakers are fine with that but i cant get surround sound have reset loads of times turned off router unplugged them the only thing that comes out is Alexa when you talk to her so am at a loss
Is there ever going to be decent Sonos applications on macOS and iOS ?Take a search - i put in the the name of an artist, click the artist then it just shows me a long list of random crap. Why cannot it be show as separate areas for Songs, albums etc as the search for any other streaming service does ?Getting to a specific playlist in Apple Music takes 4 clicks of the mouse !There is no view to show the bitrate that the stream is playing at.I love the sound from my Sonos Amp, but wondering if it’s time to start moving onto something else.Anyone know of any alternatives ?
I have a 2021 The Frame TV and have a Playbar connected via an optical cable to the One Connect box. Previous setup was a different Samsung TV and everything else was the same. My issue comes when I’m watching Apple TV(4K 2nd gen) with this setup. On the streaming apps I use(Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc...), it’s a flip of a coin whether or not I will get audio when I click on the video I want to stream. I can hear the audible noise from the bar when I am moving from app to app or title to title within the apps. But once I click on the selection, many times, there is no audio. I have to go back into the app, move across other streaming selections(without clicking), still hear the audible noise when moving across them. Then I click back on my selection and try again. It usually takes 3-4 times before the audio kicks back in and then its good for that particular stream. Pause the video? Its back to the coin flip on getting audio or not. When there is no audio, the white volume ind
I received a Sonos Roam for the holidays. Upon setting up, the device was malfunctioning. I contacted support who guided me through the exchange process. i received the email stating I would get another email from a logistics partner giving me the return shipping label to get the product back to Sonos for exchange. It took contacting Sonos support 5 times to actually get the shipping label. When I finally received my replacement Roam, the new one that they sent was also defective. Doing a little research, it seems that the Sonos Roam is NOT a reliable product as many many people have had to return it for the same reason. I first contacted Sonos support to exchange the defective Roam on 1/7/22. Since then, I have been told FIVE different times by s support agent through chat that my return shipping label would be to me by the end of the day. All FIVE times, the label did not arrive. Currently, in another tab, I am waiting in line to, once again, complain that I do not have a shipping la
I want to connect DVD audio wirelessly to my Sonos amp & ceiling speakers via Roam. I think there should be Wi-Fi and or Bluetooth enabled DVD or Bluetooth-ray players out there.Does this sound doable? If so should I go for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to the Roam?Any other advice welcome!
So, I’m having an extension built and I’m looking for a good quality music system to have integrated. I’m looking at the Sonos Architectural. Just want to know how it works and if it’s worth the money.TIA
Hi there,It would be great if there was a way in the SONOS app (for iPhone) to output announcements via certain S2 speakers without changing the saved playlists. The speakers should then continue to play your program if possible or be off again without losing their playlist. That would be super practical, for example, to be able to call for breakfast, lunch, ... .
Hello, I have a Mastercard gift card that I would like to use in addition to a Visa credit card to purchase a Sonos Move, however there is no option to do so online. Can I call in the order and pay using the 2 cards?
I am setting up a new 15ft x 20ft family room from scratch in my remodeled home. I have already run wiring for two ceiling speakers in the right and left rear of the room. My intent is to use those two ceiling speakers as surrounds for the TV, and as music emitters when the TV is not in use.My hope had been to buy a single Sonos Amp, hook it up to the ceiling speakers, and use the HDMI eARC port on the TV (a new LG C1) to drive the surround signal to the ceiling speakers. I had envisioned only needing the Amp for the surrounds, and just using the TV’s built-in speaker(s?) as the front audio, without springing for a soundbar. (They seem expensive and I’ve never really appreciated soundbars for TV. Not an audiophile. But I would like to have surround sound for movies.)Is this setup possible? Or do I have to have a Beam(gen2) or Arc in order to use the Amp to drive surrounds? (I’m using an Apple TV 4k, latest, for content, if that matters.)Looking around online, it seems like in order to
Is a DAC needed when using Airplay 2 to connect an Apple device to a pair of SONOS 5 speakers?
Hi, I would like to request a widget option to be added to the Sonos App, I think there was a thread created about 6 months ago asking on for ios 14 but nothing materialised and the thread got closed.I think it would be a great addition to the sonos app to be able to see whats playing, sound format etc without having to go into the app.
Hello and Merry Christmas. Is this combination possible? Because i found a used set at good price and i want to make a surroound set. Thanks.
If I plug my Sonos amp directly into my router does it act as a boost creating SonosNet?The boost has been a lifesaver to create SonosNet but if I don’t need it because the amp can do that job I’ll ditch it.
Hi First time I have experienced this, my LG cx seemed to drop the TVs arc connection, the tv remote was not working to control volume, the Sonos app still was so it wasn’t an internet issue.I tried power cycling tv with no luck.I then power cycled Sonos and arc connection was established again.Do you think this could have just been a random Arc connection bug?
When doing a search for a song, album or artist the sonos app only searches Apple Music: My library and will not search the rest of the Apple Music catalog
Is the new arc worth the money?
I’ve got a Sonos beam (Gen2) a Sonos one (Gen2) and a Sonos/IKEA SYMFONISK picture speaker all operating in 1 room. I want to be able to when I turn my Tv on the Sonos one and the SYMFONISK play instantly with the beam sound bar rather than going into the Sonos app and selecting the speakers I want to play. Is there a way I can add the other 2 speakers to play automatically?
