Can I use my Roam in a steam shower? I’m a wheelchair user and am having a roll-in shower built equipped with a steam-bath. I would of course place the speaker opposite of the steam nozzle. I’ve used cheaper Bluetooth speakers designed for the shower in the past and they worked OK. One speaker’s  suction cup released, it fell and stopped working. The other speaker was just not worth listening to. My original idea was to use the Roam in the shower to make a phone call in case of an emergency as I would with the Google Mini. That option is not available. I haven't really used the Roam in my present shower. It is equipped with a steam-bath but, s too small to steam in for a long period of time.  Regular exposure to steam might be asking too much. thanks

Album art disappeared after Sonos update, my music library is on a WD my cloud mirror and has been for over 5 years using S1 & S2 with no problems but after Sonos update lots of art work was missing Sonos advised me to remove my library and reload it, still lots of art work missing but now lots of albums are indexing wrong ID tags have been perfect for 10 years with Sonos all correct in iTunes and Windows 10 but Sonos splits albums that have been correct for years after speaking to Sonos they can’t help and they don’t know why it is doing it any help please.

Is there a way to quickly level all the rooms/zones in a group without having to adjust the volume of each one individually? For example, I start playing music and select “Everywhere” and the volumes of each speaker/zone will be at a different level after their last individual uses. Then when I adjust the group volume they adjust proportionally from their individual starting points. I’d like a way to quickly normalize them so they are all at “volume level 15” rather than 11, 22, 19 & 28. If there isn’t a way, there should me (in my opinion)

Hi I’m curious what people think of the mini controller ? It can be displayed in two windows sizes but I find both sizes are too big and much unpractical because it always lay somewhere on your desktop and will eat on your other apps. I wish it could be minimized neatly in the task bar with just the volume and the cue forward / backward or back / next buttons. No need to display the album cover picture this eat too much space. Anyone think the same ?

I have a sonos playbar and a sonos beam. I want to send the signal from the tv to the soundbar that I select. I do not want to split the signal between both I want to choose which soundbar I send the sound source to. I have looked for a toslink switch (playbar does not have HDMI) that would be one in and then select via a remote either sound bar but I have not been able to find one. Everything I find the switch selects the input and sends it to a single output. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I’m fully-committed to Sonos and very happy with the products for the most part. One thing that’s driving me nuts is how little sound comes out of the ceiling speakers when playing music.  I have Sonos brand ceiling speakers, AMP, Arc, Sub in my living room and when I play music, I can’t hear anything coming from the ceiling speakers. If I unpaid them, the sound is great.  They’re in Full Mode and cranked up to 15 in settings.  any suggestions?

There’s already a conversation for this, but it’s a few years old.It’d be really neat if we could customise the crossfade on Sonos - ie increase/decrease the crossfade length, and (this is maybe a stretch goal) enabling it for some playlists, while disabling for other playlists. I find the current crossfade length isn’t really useful, and would love to be able to increase it :)

I got Samsung QE65QN85A paired with new ARC. I have to set the volume at around 60% for a normal listening.Is it normal for the arc? my previous samsung soundbar was much louder. submitted diagnostics 2090418864

I have read that Stereo PCM is a uncompressed stereo channel and therefore I am curious as to how the Arc soundbar sometimes diverts sound to the surround speakers.It also happens when playing Dolby Digital 2.0I thought that only when playing Multichannel or Dolby Digital 5.1 channels was this possible?Perhaps someone could explain 🤔 Cheers 🍻 

Can anyone confirm that the only way to wire connect:amp speakers for surround with an Arc is to have the arc hardwired with ethernet to the router or a connect amp?  it seems to defeat a main benefit of sonos wireless capabilities.  this is from an article on the subject. I am deciding on an Arc home theater and it will require extra wiring if the article is accurate. Love my Sonos one SL speakers without microphone for security reasons.Is there a Sonos Beam without microphones as well?  If not can you kind folks please add it to your wish list?  

Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be included under the “My Music” heading within the Apple Music service in the Sonos app? I assumed it would show me music that I’ve added to my Library from within the native Apple Music app, but it’s empty (all sections within My Music are empty — artists, albums, playlists, etc). All other aspects of Apple Music that the Sonos app supports work fine. 

Hello, ...I just saw that in the Sonos S2 (13.4.1) application on macOS, in the Preferences –> Music Library –> Music Library Settings, in “My music folders on Sonos”, we could point to several folders . In my case, and since I have a Sonos system, I specified a “Music” folder located on my Synology NAS.My question: is the limitation to 65,000 files imposed by Sonos calculated on a single shared folder or on all the shared folders?...If so, it could blow up this incomprehensible limitation of Sonos!…If not, is this limit 65000 units or 65536 units (2 to the power of 16)?…Finally, does this limit take into account folders and image files (cover)?…Thank you for your answers...   ;-)

Hello, I’m looking for a way to lock my Apple Music account with a password so no one else on the Sonos account can use it. The issue isn’t people on the account but people on my personal Apple Music. Is there a way to password protect personal music streaming accounts?

Hi, can anyone please help with connecting a pair of sonos fives to my tv? I know you can plug a 3.5 jack into the back of the speaker but my tv does not have that sort of connection. Is there any way to go around this as I want to be able to play for example youtube videos through my sonos five speakers. 

Can someone explain to me the logic behind the annoying “feature” S2 app has that wakes up my PC every time a new piece of music starts playing?I explain. I have S2 running on my PC. I select a station I want to play. Then I put my PC to sleep (so it turns my computer and the monitors off so it doesn’t use energy) and go downstairs to do my stuff or to stay with my friends. The music plays and the moment a new song comes on, my computers comes out of sleep mode and is “ready” for something. I was told once by support guy that this is so in case you want to change the music, it’s already there. Why on Earth I want this to be ready if I’m downstairs (or far away) from the machine? Do they know that people can do the same from their phone app?It’s just plain stupid and a waste of energy. My PC has some LED lights so I can’t use it when I want to have a relaxing nap. I have to make sure that I shutdown the app first before putting my PC to sleep.So annoying.Anyone has the same problem? 

I'm fairly certain this has been discussed before, but I need a definitive answer.I have an Arc w/ 2 Ones acting as rears for surround sound that are connected via ARC (not eARC - the TV doesn't have it) to my 2017 Samsung Series 6 (model no: UN55MU6290) which is also connected to my PS5.Notably, my Samsung does not have an eARC connection. I think this may be the culprit.On my PS5, I have the following config: HDMI Device Type: AV Amplifier Number of Channels: 7.1 ch (issue also occurs when on 5.1 ch) Audio Format: Dolby On my Samsung, I have the following config: HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream Digital Output Audio Format: Dolby Digital The Sonos app is telling me that the Audio In is Dolby Digital 5.1. This is great, but there is a .5 second delay upon input and sound output. All other apps I run through my Apple TV 4K have zero delay and sound great.My question are: Is my TV too old and not powerful enough to process all the data for PS5 audio in a timely manner? I have a Beam 2, couple of Symfonisks, linked to  u65g - 2021 model with eARCUsing Apple TV 4K and the Google O/S on the TV itself my Sonos App says ‘Atmos’ where appropriate BUT the TV does not. That’s pretty condusing. Am I or aren’t I?I have Hi speed HDMI’s, sound is set to ‘pass through’ on the TV and the Apple TV is set to match frame rate, Atmos enabled etc.I think I’m getting Atmos and the above settings are definitely the best for day to day - but can someone tell me why I don’t get a confirmation from the TV? Also - sometimes when ‘turning on’ it is impossible to control the volume bar mute or what it was the night before. I have to perform several ‘on/offs’ before it works??Thanks in advance 

Is there a way to have SL Ones startup when I turn on my Samsung TV and Beam Gen 2? Or do I have to physically turn on the SL One each time I turn on my TV/Beam?

I am running on S1 system 11.3 version.I am being invited to update automatically which I usually do, but I like to know the nature of any updates before updating so as to avoid any reduction of services either hardware or software.Sonos never offer details of updates.How can I find full details of updates before accepting the update.

I just wanted to add my experience to what has been posted before.  It took some time to get to the bottom of this and the previous post was a little short on detail.Inputting from Sonos Connect is relatively simple, using one of the RCA input socket pairs and relabelling the Input on the Denon to Sonos. It was the output that I struggled with and at one stage Denon staff told me that this was just not possible.  I have used the Zone 2 Pre Out RCA sockets and the Connect RCA input sockets as the connection route.   The problem which I had failed to detect was that the signal coming from the Pre Out is very weak.  This can be fixed using the following steps on the Sonos App:- Go into Settings/System/Products and the Room where the Connect is used. Within this there are a number of sub headings including Line In.Within Line In there is something called Source Level.   As the Denon acts as an AV component I used this setting which is Level 2 when in fact the signal is so weak it needs to

Hi.I have a Sonus Arc soundbar and Sonus Sub (Gen 3) and I was wondering if buying SL surround speakers would be worth it?In general, I find that most TV channels seem to be broadcast in stereo in either Dolby Digital 2.0 or Stereo PCM.What actually happens to the sound from a stereo broadcast regarding the surround speakers?Does the sound just get directed to the surround speakers anyway (even though it's not Dolby Digital 5.1) or are the surround speakers disabled and only in use with DD 5.1 sources?I would imagine that when playing music the surrounds are just used as additional speakers?I am new to the concept of surround sound so I would appreciate some advice!Cheers 🍻   

Hi everyone.  Here is my setup: LG C1 (just bought!)Sonos Playbar (getting the Arc later this month)Sony UBP-X700 I tried out a few discs and noticed that I cannot get many of them to play surround sound.  Instead it outputs as PCM. I have changed all of the settings on the player and the TV without any luck.  I am able to get Dolby Digital. I did a fair number of searches and found that this is a known challenge with this configuration. My questions: Will I have better luck with the Arc arrives and I switch to eARC?  Will it be able to handle more of the DTS tracks that many of my discs have? If not, what would be a recommended player to get instead?  I can still return this one. If there isn’t a solution for getting surround sound, are there any ways to at least get faux surround sound?  Will fake surround sound improve with the Arc compared to the Playbar?Thank you! Charles
