Hi Guys Anybody know (or suspect) if Sonos will support real Dolby Atmos in the future? By ‘real’ I mean a 7.1.4 setup. It could be with the Arc acting simply as the front left-right-center, and then a slew of Ones or Fives as rear, side and height speakers. Could that be done via a firmware update? Is it likely? I have a setup right now with the Arc, two Subs and two Ones for movies. It’s great, but real Dolby Atmos it is not:-) Kind regardsMads
Hi. I am mounting my Playbar on the wall and would like the wiring to be as discreet as possible. I was originally going to use a ninety degree connector for the figure of eight mains cable but now realise that will not work as the socket on the Playbar is recessed. Anyone found a neat solution to this? Any help hugely appreciated.
I have amazon prime / amazon music (not unlimited)When I try to open amazon music through sonos I get the message 'Request Operation Failed'I have tried to remove and re authorise my amazon account within the sonos app which hasn't made any difference.I have also checked my membership status in amazon music which is correct. After looking at previous threads these are the only suggestions but neither work. We've also tried this on my wife's phone (she uses apple where my phone is android) and we still get exactly the same message. Any help would be appreciated please?
I have the Arc, Sub, and Sonos 1 in a surround setup, connected to an LG CX via eArc. Previously I had the PS4 outputting Bitstream (Dolby), and Sonos reported Dolby Digital 5.1.The fix that added LPCM to Sonos Arc recently went live, so I updated PS4 Pro to output PCM, and the HDMI input on the TV to PCM. (The output remained Passthrough). After doing this, the System Status page for Sonos shows Multichannel PCM 7.1.However, I now get no rear surround audio in games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. (It’s not faint, there’s really none.) I get the full surround experience if I change it back to getting Dolby Digital 5.1. On the PS4 Home screen, I do get sound from the rears in PCM 7.1, albeit very faintly, compared to Dolby Digital 5.1.Does Sonos not downmix the extra channels properly? It’s kinda bad that a higher fidelity signal sounds worse.
Hi all , hope you can once again help me out , in the notification panel on my phone it says " Dolby digital 5.1 " , which is great but when I watch something in Atmos it's blank ? As you can see , thanks
LG OLED BX 65Sonos Arc + Sub + SL x 2 This problem began a week or two ago. I noticed there was no audio coming from the sub and surrounds while watching an Atmos movie, the only sound was coming from the Arc. Everything in the app was fine and seemingly still connected. So, I rebooted everything and all seemed well again until I had to pause what I was watching for a few minutes. When I unpaused, the Sub and surrounds were once again not emitting audio.I tried changing what I was watching and tried moving from the Apple TV to a Blu-ray player and even to the TV’s built in apps, same result, no audio from the sub and surrounds, only the Arc was working, no matter what type of audio I was listening to, Atmos, Music, PCM, Dolby Digital etc. The only solution was to reboot the router and unplug all 4 Sonos components, reconnect everything and then all speakers would work again, until there was another situation in which i had to pause or even turn off the TV. Is anybody else facing this r
Hello all,I know Sonos can't currently use speakers as left and right channels, but with the last few updates and being able to control things like height channels it got me thinking. It would be nice if you could add play 5's as independent left and right channels and if paired with an arc or beam would drive the audio accordingly (like how it processes the rear surround sound). I've looked around at some of the threads but haven't seen any that really discussed if it's more company direction or audio engineering issues that they don't push for that.My current set up (pics below) is Arc, gen 3 sub and two play 5's as rear. The play 5s for rear are overkill (and awesome) for movies but we listen to alot of music in the common area and they're great for that. Instead of a dedicated theater room we went unconventional and threw a UST 4k projector (120") in our livingroom. The wife wanted a clean set up which is why we went with Sonos. The Arc and rear surround sound is solid, but t
I’ve had my Sonos Arc for about a year now and it was working just fine up until about a week and a half ago when it just completely stop putting out sound from the TV. I reset the Arc to factory settings and went through the setup process again and everything goes smooth until I get to “Use your TV remote to turn on TV speakers in sound settings.” When I hit test connection it says “TV speakers not connected.” Not sure what to do, I’ve unplugged all other hdmi cables, the TV is an LG C9 if that helps.
Hi All, My Sonos Beam has randomly started to make a beeping sound almost as if someone was hitting the mute button on/off in rapid succession. I’m a bit lost on what this could be? This even takes place when the TV is off. I’ve tried restarting the device, changing my Wifi channel, unplugging as well as a different HDMI cord to the TV. Has anyone experienced this before?
I have a couple of old Sonos Play:1s which I used to run from the router via a Sonos Bridge. This stopped working a while back, so I now plug one of the Sonos Play:1s directly into the router. Is there anyone out there who has the Sonos wired product and a Sky Glass TV and if so, have they managed to get their Sonos connected to the internet and working? Many thanks, H
How can I get a purchase receipt for a product that I bought on the Sonos website?
Hi There, Just wondering would it be possible that i could get Dolby Atmos to pay from my Gen 1 Sonos Beam while connecting it to a Sony A90J. Planning to connect Apple TV 4K that support Dolby Atmos too direct to the TV while the Sonos Beam is connected to eArc port. If yes what setting do i need to set to get this to work.
Hi all,I have set up Sonos throughout my house (Arc + Sub, then One’s throughout the house). One of my rooms has a Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3. I don’t want to get rid of it, as it is stil a very nice sounding and well looked-after device. It doesn’t support Airplay though (only aux + BT). I’d like to add it in to Sonos system so it can be part of the house generally. While a relatively expensive solution, is it possible to do the following?Get a Sonos Port Run a RCA out from the Port, to a 3.5mm aux in on the Aura? (using a RCA to 3.5mm cable)All the answers I can find online relate to the Port bringing much “fuller” systems into the mix, and I can’t find anything that would seem to apply here. Thanks in advance!
Hello to all,Hoping someone can help me with this - I have a decent turntable going into stereo fives and then a number of ones throughout my house. All going through my wifi. I run Google points re a mesh system as I have a large house and one router/ point isn’t enough. Also - where I have the turntable and two fives are at the opposite end of the house to where I have my cabled internet. This works fine for normal streaming of tv and internet needs, but something isn’t happening for my Sonos system. My question relates to the Sonos Boost and will it fix my issue. If I buy one I have to hook it up at the opposite side of my house to the turntable and fives because that is where I can plug in an ethernet cable so it has to stretch that far out. Also, can I have multiple Boosts. I have bought a three point pack from Google for my Mesh, can I do something similar with Boost or will I be confusing it all? Thanks in advance everyone - Robin

My Sonos Beam volume control (controlled from Sky Q remote and TV remote) stops working after 5-6 hours. Strangely, I can still control the volume from the Sonia app on my phone. Anyone have any answers as to what the problem could be? Thanks
People are talking all the greatness of the Arc, my system started with the Playbase!I was wondering why Sonos got of the Playbase and the play 3’s.
Buenas tardes, solo para saber si alguno tendra la experiencia de usar este divisor como alternativa al HDFURY ARCANA para poder sacar sonido dolby atmos desde mi televisor antiguo o desde un dispositivo como Chomecast
Is the Ray delayed? I ordered on 5/30 with a ship date of 6/7. My status still shows “preparing to ship” and it’s 6/15. Anyone else having this issue?
Hi all,I have just moved into a new home and want to get a Sonos Sub and either Beam or Arc to improve my TV audio. I don’t mind paying the extra for the Arc but am worried it might not agree with my room shape with some of the surround effects. Ceiling height is standard at around 8ft, but we are in a room which has been made open plan and we are using half of it for TV/Sofa so while it’s almost perfect square on 3 sides, the left side walls are a lot further away. Will this cause issues with the sound? Have attached a rough sketch of the room shape. Thanks for any help!
Guys.See attached my floor plan for the Ground Floor. I have a separate reception and kitchen area. How should I set up my in ceiling speakers for each of these rooms? Few important points to note:Reception Room will have the TV on the left wall Kitchen will have an island in the centre and dining table near the window. Please help.Thank you.
When watching my Sony Tv and listening to the sound through my sonos arc i can control the volume level up or down , by using the appropriate buttons on the TV or Virgin media Tivo box remote and that works fine. However, when playing music through my sonos arc from, for example Deezer, i can only adjust the volume up or down by using the sonos app on my phone, whereas until recently, I have been able to also control the music volume using the appropriate buttons on the TV and virgin media Tivo box remotes.I just spoke to a Sonos technician/ engineer and he said that the TV and virgin remotes cannot control the volume of music on the Sonos arc and that i must use the app to control the volume…… even though my system has worked like this ever since it was brand new ( maybe 2 years or so old). OK its not a major issue and i can control the volume on the app, but it used to be so much more convenient to adjust the volume using the \tv or virgin remotes.I cannot understand why this has sto
We have enjoyed the sonos amp with two wired sonance speakers out back for years...now we’ve extended our space with some chaise lounges on the far side of the pool, and a small game area in the far corner of the year. You really need to crank the music up under the covered patio to hear it in all corners of the yard. I’m thinking either two roams, or two moves, or one of each so that we can hear the music in all corners of the yard. What’s the best combo? Or is it something else? Thanks!
Will Sonos create a surround speaker that includes upward firing drivers to complement the Arc for Dolby Atmos?
