Howdy,

I have a philips 10bdl4551t with Android 8.1 that I might want to introduce the Sonons ** App** S2 on to control the sonos speakers in the workplace. Yet, the philips 10bdl4551t is a genius screen and don't have a playstore, I have physically downloaded akp, yet it neglects to introduce. Is there an authority APK to introduce?

Android 8.1 will of course request permission to install the APK from an ‘unknown source’. What other error message are you seeing? A screenshot would be useful, or even a photo.

Hi @harleenhcw37

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

The Sonos app is made to work on phones and tablets with touchscreens - not smart TVs. It’s likely that the app is recognising the system as a TV and refusing to install.

Actually the device is a 10” tablet, albeit a highly customised one.

Thanks @ratty - I’m not sure why I made that assumption 😜

Like Ratty says, you can download the Sonos app APK from somewhere like apkmirror etc (obviously at your own risk).

You first need to go into your device settings and allow downloads from unknown sources.

After that you should be good to go.
