My system is not compatible with S2. The app demands that I upgrade to S2 and won’t let me open S1. How do I open the S1?
I own the arc,sub and sl1s downloaded the lasted updated and the volume is at least 20% less then before.. I have a big room and before 60% was loud and now it’s at 100% with the same movie.. I bought the arc because of my room size and now I’m very disappointed in its performance.. can i downgrade to old software version?
So the sonos sounds really good but I'm having one problem. I can't get Atmos to come through from the Sony A80J.I seem to be only getting DD+ 5.1 which sounds great but obviously I really want to be getting Atmos.I'm streaming direct from Disney + via the in built app. I've got eARC switched to Auto along with pass through.I definitely got atmos with my previous LG SP9Ya with the same tv so I'm not sure what the issue is?I've unplugged the tv for a few minutes and plugged it back in to force a eARC handshake but still nothing...Checked for sonos updates and that's all good.I'm using the provided Sonos HDMI cable.Running out of ideas.
How long does Sonos to fix an update? My arc sounds way too piercing in the midrange. It's just too sharp sounding now. The arc also has less mid bass with a now overwhelming mid range sound. I wish to go back to the original settings. Even the sub has suffered the low end isn't as solid; sometimes the sub is barely heard. I adjust the EQ and sub level and still not satisfied. This update is no good.
Hi! I know that this has been asked a lot of times but i have not found an answer for 2022 🙂We have a Yamaha MusicCast wireless vinylplayer and im wondering if they (Yamaha) have fixed so you can use Sonos products (in my cast Ark) to stream your music yet? I know that i has been impossible the last 3 years, but still holding out.
Sonos Port and Pioneer LX904Set up the Port on the Pioneer, when i start playing on the music on the Port zones 2 and 3 turn on and play music. problem is the zones do not turn off, so the amp stays on. I have the auto power off enabled on the pioneer. seems like the port doesn’t tell the receiver to shut down the zones that where turned on. thoughts?edit: i feel that the port should have been designed with hdmi port, which has native power management… would be nice to have video as well.
We are Remodeling our house, and creating a relatively small (10 ft x 12 ft) room for watching TV/movies. We intend to reuse Arc and play:1 or One speakers for rear surround. Thinking about adding sub amp and two sonance architectural ceiling speakers for enhanced (5.1.2 ??) surround. Any guidance? Does this sort of setup make sense? Thanks!Matt
We are installing a Murphy bed in our house. Because of the lack of wall space I want to attach the HDTV to the Murphy bed and ideally I would like to have the Sonos Beam attached to the HDTV mount so that it is below the HDTV and would be secure when the Murphy bed is in use. In other words the bracket would be have to be able to hold the Sonos beam even when the bed is open. Any ideas? I also need some suggestions for an appropriate HDTV mount for the Murphy Bed.
Hi there, I just bought a Sonos Port and while it works with my Sony STR-dh190, I need to understand how to power on the Amp’ through the Sonos App. Is it a 12V cable that I need to connect the two together? If so, what Port does it go into on my Amp?Thank you for any help! Tony
New to Sonos. 3 Rooms / 2 have TV’s / 2 Ceiling Speakers in each room (6 total) - all speaker wire leads to utility closet I purchased 3 amps (looks like I’ll be waiting awhile) for 3 zones to control music in each room. My question - I purchased 2 Ray sound bars to connect my TV audio to respective amps via wifi to play TV audio on respective ceiling speakers. Because all speaker wire leads to a utility closet I am unable to directly connect my TV/Ray sound bar to the amp. This should do the trick if I want to use ceiling speakers for TV audio correct? Many thanks in advance.
Hello. I apologize for any ignorance. I’m new to the group. I'm purchasing 2 Sonos systems. Arc+Sub+Ones for two different rooms. My walls are open and I'm running various low voltage wires cat 6, hdmi etc. Down the road i may go with in wall or amp driven speakers. TV and arc mounted above fireplace. Blue Ray, Roku, Apple TV, Nintendo, Future Sonos Amp with be 20 feet across through room connected through cables in the wall, as well as cabling back to the network switch. I'm looking for insight/resources on the do's/don't in terms of wiring to be somewhat future proof and avoid any regrettable mistakes. Are there any really good threads here on this topic that could help? Also this will all be connected to 2 new Sony A80k or LG C2 TV’s if that matters. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You
Recently remodeled my living room and my TV is now mounted above my fireplace. I currently have the playbar but want to upgrade to the Arc. i am concerned that if i mount the Arc below the TV and above the mantle that it would be too high and i will lose some of its benefits. If i mount where i want to, it will be approx 5 feet above from the floor. At this height, will I lose some of the quality from the Arc?Also, the couch will be about 13 feet from the Arc. is that too far as well? Thanks!PS - i have already tested the fireplace and there are no concerns for too much heat above the mantle...so not concerned about Arc “cooking”.
I recently upgraded to a Sonos Beam and surround speakers. I have a problem when watching tv I have the volume on 45-48. When I’m steaming Prime or Netflix I’m down to about 27. Is there any way to even out the volume between tv and streaming? Any help?
Hi,I bought 4 of One SL. My plan was to use them as a cafe music speakers. But as I am a franchisee, I need to use a designated music streamer with line out port. So I need to find a receiver getting line in input while sending wifi transmitting to my Sonos SL speakers. I know there's Sonos Port but it is way expensive for me. Can somebody recommend me an alternative for Sonos Port? Thanks.
Hi all. I'm a complete technophobe but I have a sonos 1 that I love, and want to be able to listen to my TV at the kind of volume I can listen to music on my sonos 1. If I buy a sonos ray, can I pair/group it with my existing sonos 1, so I can listen to the TV through my sonos 1 in a different room and/or listen to the TV loud in one room by using both at the same time (or even by having them both in the same room but then just using the voluminous sonos 1, with sonos ray on silent)?
Hi, I need help to set up the Sonos speakers in my coffee shop. It looks like box, 560 sq, but 24ft high. What do you recommend I was thinking maybe 4 ONE and one woofer ?
I know I should probably direct this question elsewhere, but thought I stood a better chance of getting a sensible response from this support community.I have a 38Gb approx Sonos Music Library that comprises a mix of .wma and .m4a files. Occasionally I would like to play this same music on my Sonos Move (and maybe AirPods, too) via the iPhone/AirPlay in the garden where i have no wifi signal. The problem is this requires loading the music into Apple Music, which I am happy to do, since there is plenty of spare memory on the iPhone. Unfortunately, all of the .m4a files import into Music with no problem as you’d expect, but not the .wma files (thanks a bunch Apple!).I have looked at various file converters to convert the .wma files to .m4a, but they are quite laborious and then do not do a good job of converting the Track and Album art.Any ideas as to the easiest way to sync the 2 libraries to ensure all album info exists in both places?
Just checking to see if anyone else is having issues with Netflix not showing atmos logo (just 5.1) so no atmos playing. This occurs when using Appletv and Firestick. The Sony a90j oled apps shows the atmos logo on Netflix. What is strange is that no atmos on Netflix but HBO max and Apple TV+ have atmos via Apple TV and Firestick. This may be another reason to drop Netflix since I am paying for the enhanced level of Netflix and not getting what I pay for. Does anyone have a fix?
Why can’t I control my sonos fully though the google home ?or just cast the audio on sonos speakers ? Airplay but no googleCast ?or group my Nest Hub with my sonos speakers ?And let’s not speak about the disappeared volume volume control on pixel devices. As someone owing nest hub and sonos devices, that situation is frustrating. Things could be so much better if you worked together on providing features to your users, rather than screwing them because you can’t get your act together.
I’m connecting some turntables to my system and I’m wondering whether I use a second hand Connect or whether I actually get a Playbase and use the input on that. With the Playbase at least I get another speaker close to my turntables but I’m unsure about what the quality of input is like compared to the Connect.
Good morning everyone. I have a set of two Play 5s that I use to listen to music. Now I would like to improve the TV audio a lot (especially the speech), do you think I improve a lot by purchasing and connecting a Beam soundbar? Or do I just connect the two Play 5s to the TV? Thank you
Hi there. I would playback music from my audio player (e.g. CD player) to Sonos MOVE over a WIFi network. May I know if the following configuration is possible? analog player (audio output) → Sonos Port (audio in) → Sonos Port (Ethernet) → network switch → WiFi AP → Sonos MOVE x2 I can’t stream the music from WiFi of Sonos Port directly because the MOVE are located away from it (different room and different floor), and I have a WiFi network on the premises already. See if it is possible to stream through the wired network then to the MOVE via the nearby AP. Kindly advise, thank you very much.
The android S2 app, fails to “find system” from the launch screen where you click “find system” the same algorithm is used for both “lets fix it” or “update network” Neither one produces a result but defaults back to the launch screen. “make sure all your products are powered on. This could take 1-2 minutes.” Once selected it displays “searching for your system” for approximately 3 seconds it reverts back to “make sure all your products are powered on. This could take 1-2 minutes.” And I shouldn’t have have a play 1 plugged into Ethernet make use of my system or update the wireless networks.
