Hi guys, I’m new to the sonos ecosystem. I bought 2 Symfonisk speakers (gen 1) and the only way I use them is through my apple TV and Airplay.I wanted to add more speakers, but I am lost here, I dont really know if I can add 2 more Symfonisk and have them as sorround.I wanted to buy a Beam (gen 1) and have it as the main channel and the 2 Symfonisk as rear speakers, but I cannot really understand if the beam gen 1 is capable of being paired with the 2 Symfonisk using airplay.I also entertained the idea of having a Play 5 (gen 1) paired but I don’t think it has airplay capabilities.Can you guys halp me out please?

We are doing renovations to our lounge room and will be getting a new TV unit specially made by a joiner. my question is whether the Sonos Arc has to sit on top of the unit under the TV or can i get a recessed space built into the TV unit that will hold the Sonos ARC. This recess will still be directly under the TV. If it is recessed into a cavity, will this affect the sound quality

Hello!  I still use the Sonos controller cr200 with my S1 system.  I recently added the BBC Sounds app (using the S1 app) and that doesn't seem to work on the controller.  Neither does Sonos Radio.   They both work with the S1 app on my iPhone.  However, the Spotify app and 80s 80s Radio app does work on the controller.  Is the reason the BBC Sounds and Sonos Radio apps not working on the Controller due to the type/content of the apps?Thanks. 

Hi! :) I will get married soon and need to take care of the audio in the dinner room.At home I have1 playbase2 sonos one1 sonos:1 1 sonos move.In total they should be more than sufficient to create a nice sound atmosphere. Now I wonder how I can realise that. Is it the only way to give each of them an own room and combine the rooms or is there a smarter way to realise that? What are your thoughts and ideas?

Hi! So i just got a new TV with eARC and i have now set the eARC to “auto” in the TV.But does my Sonos Amp gen2 even support it? Will there be any benefits enabling e-arc in the TV, or will my system automatically just use the regular ARC?

Hello. I’m a longtime Sonos customer at home, and I’m now building a small cabin that I want to prepare for a good Sonos setup. It would be on the first floor, which is essentially one (not huge) great room as shown in the attached drawing. It will be music only (no TV), and the goal is somewhat more than “background music” but somewhat less than “critical listening.” Most of the listening will probably happen in the kitchen area while cooking, but I’ll want sound throughout. Would the best bet be Sonos Ones mounted high in the corners of the front and the back of the house? Or something else? And when you’ve got, say, four or six speakers in a “great room” setup like this, is it better to do two stereo pairs or just group them? Thanks very much for any insights you can offer!    

Does anyone know what’s the firing angle of the drivers that produce the virtual surrounds in the Arc? (the second and the one before the last one). I can’t get them to impact on the rear wall, so I’m suspecting the room might be too big, making them to impact on the side walls. If there’s a chart for this, it would really come in handy.Thanks for any input!

I have a Grundig VLX 707 tv which has a HDMI-ARC port.I had everything setup and working but after a power outage my sonos amp cant connect to my TV.CEC is enabeled on my TV but it keeps on saying CEC not connected.I factory resetted my TV but the problem is stil there,I changed HDMI cabels, with nothing connected it says ARC nog connected.But the next step keeps on saying CEC not connected

Hi, I was wondering best way to get this done, Moving from UK to US with my Sonos Arc,  what would be the best solution?1.I checked with Shipping companies and the measurement seem to be to big for shipping.2. Doesnt seem possible to get on to a flight unless a purchase an extra seat which is not worth it.3. Should i sell in Uk and purchase new one in the US? any advice on this would be appreciated. 

Random tracks/artists are not showing up on my Sonos system, so I’m wondering if I’m at/over the library limit. May I submit a diagnostic to find out?

Since we cannot play youtube if we are not premium, i purchase the youtube premium specialy for sonos… Now why i cannot cast directly from youtube premium app like amazon music, spotify, tidal etc…  

Hi there, I just bought an Arc for my tv room and have a very basic doubt. One of the side walls of the room has a large wide glass door. It goes from floor to ceiling and covers most of the wall, except for the front corner right at the side of the Arc, where there's a wooden door, and the rear corner where there's another wooden door. So what would be better, in terms of Arc’s virtual surround: closing the drapes (black-out plastic layer outwards, thin blue-jean layer fabric inwards), or just leave the bare glass? I obviously lean towards the first option to avoid glare, but I wonder what would be better for audio accuracy’s sake.Thanks in advance for any input!

I have a Sonos five. Somebody spilled some alcohol on the speaker. The alcohol has come down in the speaker grill and it looks really bad. The sound quality hasn’t taken any damage thankfully. Is there any way to remove and clean the speaker grill or get it replaced?  

My ex boy friend’s security cameras still connect to my sonos and send alerts all the time. “Someone devoted one XXX Street side of the house”how can I remove his security cameras and stop these annoying alerts please?

I have a new gen 2 beam and cannot discern any difference when the speech enhancement is on or off.

Hay sonos thank you for the update for me arc sounds much better now the sound is fuller and even more spacious.  It's a bit quieter, I don't see a problem - if someone listened to 100%, they would not appreciate the clear and detailed sound anyway

I’ve a Vizio P75Q9-J01, an Arc soundbar, and an Xbox Series X. All are Atmos compatible, and the Arc is hooked up to the TV’s eARC, the Xbox is hooked up to the TV’s 4K/120Hz input, and I’ve all certified HDMI 2.1 cables. No receiver…Occasionally I get no sound w/ the XSX set to Atmos(TV set to auto), sometimes I get it w/ the sound cutting out continually for a split second, sometimes I can only get sound at all from rebooting the XSX a couple of times, and sometimes the XSX powers up and plays Atmos fine on the first attempt(Atmos verified thru the Sonos app). No idea why it’s always so unpredictable other than people posting that it’s a codec compatibility issue, but no one seem to know who has to adjust-Vizio, Microsoft, or Sonos.

Hello Community, I need help! I currently have a Sonos playbase which we absolutely love. Our house has 2 X YAMAHA 6" IN-CEILING SPEAKERS PAIR - NS-IC600 in the living room and outdoor alfresco.  I want to buy an amp to start using the speakers but have no idea where to start. Do I need to buy a Sonos amp to connect the playbase and will the Yamaha speakers be compatible with it. I'm also not sure how I split the audio between the areas... Would you need a seperate amp for each space is there some form of splitter? Any help would be much appreciated! 

Hi all new to the forum, but far from new to Sonos.Fantastic products that are bloody addictive  I've been speaking to Sonos direct about this was advised to come here and hopefully some of there engineers and software developers are lurking around here.  My question is who here would love to see Sonos add a feature in the app for individual sub gain/volume and sub frequency. For those that have 2 subs in there HT setup this proposal to Sonos will allow the users more fine tuning setup, in return suiting different rooms and distances etc etc and also if this is possible have a sub frequency option so we can adjust the frequency to our taste and liking and setups 30/40hz and up they sound like there preset @ 80hz minI feel very strongly about both of these should be in the app so the user has full control. It's not the case of one size fits all, I believe this would be welcomed worldwide from a Very large volume of usersa simple yes or no reply would work great.I'd like to get and gain

I have 2 sanos fives and want them to work with my tv wirelessly. If i buy the arc and connect to tv, will the fives communicate wireless with ARC and work as surround? Also, what effect would that have if I just wanted to listen to music? Thanks! 

Hello Everyone,Currently I have :1 Playbase.1 Sonos Play:1 Gen 1.1 Sonos play:5 Gen 2.1 Sonos Playbar. I connect Playbase to my Sony TV and I got Dolby Digital 5.1 label on my Sonos app when I watch Movie on TV.Currently,I group all the speaker together when I  watch movie. However as I understand, that way just make all the speakers play the same audio source, not separating channel for each different speaker ( But I still can feel a bit surrounding sound maybe 3.1 system because Playbase itself is the stereo speaker).My question is if I buy one more Play:1 or Play:5 to create the surrounding system, Will the surrounding sound experience be different so much or it will just slightly the same?And what does it means by Line-in will be disabled when connected the surrounding speakers? Now I connect TV with Playbase by optical cable. 

I am trying to upgrade my system (surround with Beam gen 2, 2 One’s) for ~$800, and am weighing 2 options below:-Upgrade Beam gen 2 > Arc-Add Sub gen 3 to the existing systemI primarily use my system for watching movies & TV shows and listening to music. Any inputs would be appreciated, and any upgrade ideas not listed here would also be appreciated to help me think outside the box!

I have Samsung smart TV and Sonos Playbar. Never could get Samsung remote to control volume on Playbar, just used Directv remote.  We recently “cut the cord” and are just streaming now.  We finally figured out Samsung remote to control volume, or so we thought. Turns out it controls volume when watching live TV through antenna, but it will not adjust volume for any streaming service (Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Roku).  I can still adjust volume through the app on my phone, but there are other people in the house who want to watch TV when I’m not home.  How do I get the remote to consistently control volume for all apps? 

Ok im coming here for help. The volume level of our system is drastically less than what it used to be.  System we have is arc, sub, two ones, and move.  We have had sonos for 2+ years but over the last couple weeks noticed the levels were off we started adjusting  fyi  bass used to be -1 to +1 on our sub.  now we have to put it at +10 for the same amount.  I have had two support experiences that did not solve anything other than putting the eq of bass on our arc up to +10 and sub level +15   where this would before had me evicted from the complex next door.  I also just realized i can take the level of our system all the way to 100+ when before maybe 60 was all we could handle.  I did a google search today after weeks of frustration and I see its now saying an update has many users upset and sonos knows there is a problem with a recent update.   I have had 2 support issues for volume levels and they have no solution but a search shows there may be an issue with an update.  This brings
