The Roam charger cord is permanently attached to the base, which is already bad, but then the other end of the cable is a USB-A plug.  Welcome to 2015.  

Is it possible to have a quicker way to switch between Ambient and Full modes when listening to music? Depending on where I am in the room I may bounce between the two modes, currently a bit tedious to navigate through the settings to do this. A simple button on the main playback screen should suffice 

I setup successfully my SYMFONISK speaker using my Sonos App in my Android phone. Few days later, I use my friend’s iPhone to setup the same but with different Sonos account. she was not able to. Now my Sonos App also not able to connect to my SYMFONISK speaker.  Does anyone encountered this?

We have a new built house with an open space kitchen/living. We listen to a lot of music all the time. I have provisioned two play 5 at the corners marked with red (power and ethernet connection at 2.5m height). Will it be enough? Any other suggestions?

Hi my Sonos Move doesn’t charge through the USB-C port, never has worked. Is there a setting that I don’t know about or is this a common issue? I’ve seen a few people saying the same thing. I only discovered the port a few weeks ago and i’ve tried various different chargers none work at all. 

My wife and I just set up our Arc+Sub in our living room, and One SL’s in each of our our offices. Everything was set up perfectly using my account/email via the Sonos App on my iPhone.  Now my wife would like control on her iPhone so she can manage her office speaker independently.  Can she create her own Sonos email/account and link up to our system at the same time as me?  Or, does she need to use my email/account within the Sonos App on her iPhone?  Thank you!

could there be any issues if sonos fives and sub are always plugged in but I play only for some time(1 hour) ?

Greetings’’ Can anyone please tell me that , how many speakers we can connect over Airplay 2 , max I have connected 14 Speakers can we connect beyond that like 25/30 speakers.  And can we make groups on Airplay 2 ?  Please suggest your answer will help mes loving a bigger project form me.

When enjoying a song in a playlist, you used to be able to click on the down arrow and see the related album a track came from and then start playing that. This option has been removed in the latest update. WHY?! Seems a mad removal. 👇 

I am trying to get my Innuous mini mk3 library available on my Sonos Port.  Support has told me a.  No hard connection is necessary, they communicate via wifi, b. Connect them directly with ethernet cable and c. Connect them directly with rca cables.  I have tried all with no luck.  I have no confidence in support on this matter.  Have any of you experience with this?  Thanks in advance.

Hello all, within the last week my app has pinged up there is a new update (even though auto update is turned off).What exactly does the new update address?, has anyone updated yet.It's also really annoying the certain settings are now "ghosted out", just because it's sniffed an update.Is there any way to stop this happening in the future (blocking access at the router etc?). 

Hi allHoping for a bit of advice.  Looking to switch to a soundbar from my current poor performing Sony.I am looking at the beam and wondering whether the refurbished gen 1 (£270) will do the job, or if its worth paying the extra £100 for the gen 2?Tv is a 55" LG OLED C1.  I will be using two play:1s as surrounds.  Will be mainly watching freeview or IPTV, with a bit of netflix/prime thrown in.  Does anyone have a similar setup and would they recommend?Been doing a bit of research and it appears that Dolby Atmos doesn't add a lot, so wondering whether it's worth paying the extra for the gen 2?Thanks for your timeSteven

Trying to solve for the below goals using the SONOS ecosystem and I’ve been back and forth on how to accomplish. Improve my GreatRoom TVs built-in speakers (Beam/ARC)  Create AirPlay option and power speakers for turntable that sits directly behind TV area  Output vinyl/TV audio signal across all speakers on network (e.g. listen to vinyl on soundbar) Last, I have an additional TV on an HDMI splitter that I’d like to share audio/speakers with main TV Will an ARC/Beam + SONOS AMP (+/- 3rd party bookshelves and sub) accomplish what I’m after? I would like the option of using the sub on either TV/Vinyl signal, and by a similar token, have the option to listen to vinyl across all speakers on the AirPlay/SONOS network. 

This is offered to try and help anyone else who has just upgraded their Synology hardware with DSM 7 and transferred users and media folders to the new device via configuration export/import and/or backups.  It may also apply to anyone upgrading DSM 6 to 7.In my case, I was upgrading hardware and DSM version. Having done the DSM configuration and data imports from the old device, I was unable to add the replacement Music Library on the new NAS to S2 Sonos, Error 900 was reported. On the Synology, a log entry showed an SMB1 logon was refused.  This was a complete red herring, as I later discovered.Windows clients also would not connect to the shared folders.After a lot of playing around with SMB settings, it transpired from the raw smb connection log on the NAS that the issue was that the connections were refused due to the user not having application permissions.So if you come across this problem, please check in DSM Control Panel “User & Group” that SMB is allowed in application p

When using a soundbar plus Fives as Surround, but no Sub. Could the LFE Chanel be downmixed to the Fives, to take advantage of their excellent low frequency response.

Hello Everyone,Below is a simple trick to use your Sonos 5 playback as a normal AMP speaker with Line-In without any delay.1-Reset Sonos, walkthrough initial product setup using wired network connection.2-set delay to 75-ms and disable compression3-connect audio jack from both ends, make sure you can hear the sound of the device connected and playing ( you will notice the delay )4-disconnect or unplug the ethernet, no more delay, and Sonos can now be used as generic speaker. Tip: if you have a managed or smart network switch, you can remotely control the network interface connected to Sonos, so you can switch between Sonos mode and Speaker only mode! Hope this will help someone in the feature. Best

I just bought the Sonos Beam 2, installed it via the tedious phone app, and now all the volume indicators for my LG CX55 are gone! Just a plus or minus sign! Oh and when I use my Verizon box one doesn’t exist at all! So I’m supposed to guess what volume I’m at?!Sonos should be giving me better sound! Not changing my control settings!So in short, if I don’t get my original indicators back when I use the Verizon box AND when I use the remote for my LG tv, this gets returned.

I'm struggling to understand home cinema setup for true 5.0 or 5.1.It appears that it is not possible! I wanted to use two play1 , ONE sl or simfonisk as front L-R and Ray or Beam as center and two play1 surrounds. Later adding sub.Why soundbars is designed as 3 channel only? Especially Ray, it is using single tweeter for 3 channels.Ray front stage is so narrow it is hard to hear stereo unless you are listening 1m from it,not even mentioning 3 channels. TV 55inch speakers are doing much better (wider) stage!To use it with 100inch projector screen sound stage must be wider! Ideally it should be around 3m wide but I think even ARC will struggle with that...I would even preferred two speakers as stereo but that is not possible as well. So how to go around it, is it possible to setup group with stereo pair and soundbar? 

my roam stopped working last night. it just says offline. i reset the speaker, re added it, it took a while to “connect” to my wifi, and still says offline.  nothing else in my house has an issue

Hi all, why is it that in 2022 there is still no separate equalizer for the music and tv input? when watching a movie i have too much bass, when listening to music there should be more for me.It can’t be that hard too ad?  please….. pretty please make this happen, next week would be ok for me… thanks in advance The world
