Hi there. We recently built an open-air outdoor structure next to our pool, we’re planning to mount a TV and are looking for recommendations for sound. We currently run our house on all sonos products (arc, playbars, play1 &3, subs, etc) and outdoors we have Bose landscape speakers connected via sonos connect. I was planning to purchase the outdoor architectural speakers and amp to connect to the tv for sound but was sure if that was the best option. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Help. Going bonkers have had sonos many years and all been perfect. Recently set up new surround system in another room. Beam and 2 one’s. Plays music and Netflix perfect through tv. Sky, however is a different story. Many occasions have sound and many not. Have reset everything tv. Sky. Sonos Reconnected sonos to tv many times etc. changed HDMI leads and the best I can get is tv sound on some channels but very few. Have gone through sky set up God knows how many times and all is as it should be. PS5 plays through tv in surround also. Connected by HDMI ARC (have tried optic lead and same result). Has anyone come across the same or have any ideas? I have spent a week testing trying and changing everything 😬Any advice would be appreciated CheersMartin
Lost sub connection gen2
I bought a beam yesterday to go with my living room TV and set it up with my 2 sonos ones to make a surround sound system, however, I don't want to have the beam on all the time wasting electricity so have it attached to a smart plug so it turns off when the tv turns off but when I do that I can't then use my sonos ones to just play normal music. Is there a way around this or do I have to have the beam on constantly to be able to use anything in my living room?
I’ve just bought a Sonos amp. I’ve wired my turntables via the mixer (as conventional mixer amp) however when I play a record there is a full 3-4 second delay to hearing anything so mixing is definitely out! Any suggestions on how to play instant time?
Hi Sonos Friends,Been using Spotify Family as our primary music streaming for Sonos and everything else. I want to take advantage of Amazon Unlimited’s higher resolution for our Sonos system, but the 13 year old daughter insists she will die if we cancel Spotify because of her 10,000 playlist combinations of the same 47 pop songs. I understand that you could transfer the playlists from Spotify to Amazon, but let’s not open that can of worms for the moment because she is 13 and rationality is only a small part of the bigger picture. If I wanted to let the kid keep her Spotify and take on Amazon Unlimited for our Sonos, can I get away with a one device account for Amazon Unlimited or do I need a multiple device account? Anything from experience I’m not accounting for or should be considering? Be Well an Thanks a Ton.
If my 2013 playbar is not compatible with the V3 sub which version is compatible with the S1 app/playbar? Is my only option to buy used sub?
Hello everybodyI have a question about a home teather system.I already own a Sonos Arc + 2 Sonos One Sl (as surround back channels) + Gen 3 Subwoofer.I'd like to add two Sonos 5s as front channels alongside the TV as front L + R channels. In your opinion is it possible / useful? Thanks and bye
Hi, Just wondering is someone has the answer to this ??I’ve just put my Sonos first gen in my bedroom & set it on a new Samsung tv & connected to optical cable & I can’t control volume on tv on the tv control. I done some digging & it seems that it’s not possible to control volume on tv control. Anyone found a away round it ??. I’m happy to use my phone but the Mrs my struggle 😂. Thanks for your time. Tony
Dear Sonos, You make great speakers, but your app sucks. It doesn’t just suck, it sucks a**. I have loads of gadgets and apps to control them: routers, switches, smart home devices, smart speakers, etc. But never have I seen such a poorly designed app and associated hardware integration. I don’t even know where to start. Installation, adding devices, removing devices, adding services, vanishing speakers, vanishing services, things magically appearing after being absent for days. Honestly, just start from scratch and give us a world class app to go with your world class speakers. It’s not gonna be easy, but it will be worth it in the end. Thanks. I’m looking into getting a Sonos Home Theatre system and I have been getting conflicting information from reps at Best Buy and (old) posts on the sonos community. Can the following set up work for a true 5.1 surround system; 1 x Ray, 4 x OneSLs, 1 x Sub (gen 3) ?Also, will the system mesh into the three IKEA speakers I’ve got already for music?I’ve seen (very old) posts that say ‘no’. And I spoke to reps at Best Buy who say ‘yes’ (some times definite and sometimes ‘hypothetically’)
I am currently trialing Tidal Hifi and playing it on a stereo pair of Sonos Ones. The Tidal App on my Android phone lets me stream to Sonos and I have the streaming quality set to the highest available. I can also use the Sonos app to select Tidal music. What I would like to know is whether there is a difference in the music quality using one or the other. I find the Tidal app better to use. Thanks in advance for any of your insights.Andrew
In my SONOS system I have:3xPlay:11xOne (Gen 1)1xPlaybar1xBridgeall have Upgrade Eligible | Get 15% off.If I take advantage of 15% off from any of the devices listed above and add Sonos Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer Black to my cart, will I be able to purchase this speaker at a discounted price even if this speaker is now on special offer on the SONOS website? Is for example Play1 Upgrade Eligible | Get 15% off, entitles me to purchase Sonos Sub (Gen 3) at a discount?
Hi I have a sonos arc sub and two ones in one room and I want to set up a playbar and sub in another room how do I do this
There’s been a lot of discussion around this issue but I’ve seen no definitive answer from a Sonos rep so let me try asking based on my personal setup. I have a Sony PS5 connected to a Sony AG9 OLED via the HDMI 1 port (enhanced). That TV is connected to a Sonos ARC via the HDMI 3 port (eARC, enhanced) with the Sub (gen 3) and x2 One SLs.The TV sound settings are as follows:Speakers: Audio System A/V sync: Auto eARC mode: Auto Digital audio out: Auto 1 Digital audio out volume: Max Dolby Digital Plus output: Dolby Digital Plus Pass through mode: Auto The Arc has successfully output Dolby Digital Plus, DD+ and Atmos in testing with various Android TV streaming apps including Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and Apple TV+. So the TV using it’s built-in apps are performing great. The PS5 however is a different story... The PS5 settings are as follows:HDMI Device Type: AV Amplifier Number of Channels: 5.1 Audio Format: Linear PCMThe Sonos App tells me that the audio in this configuration is Multich
This has probably bin covered alot so apologise I'm new to sonos Iv bought an arc sl ones a gen 3 sub and a 5 And i cant get them all the play what I'm play on my oled lg tv can I get some help please
I’m wondering if pairing a Sonos beam with my pair o Play one speakers is a good idea to enhance the sound of my music only setup
How do I transfer/download personal iMusic playlists to Sonos?
Curious if you would change any of the following settings on this Sony. Arc , sub, one SL’s.
I am trying to figure out the simplest setup to play my turntable on my two One SL and Beam Sonos speakers. I have a receiver but would like to avoid using it if possible. Can I directly connect my turntable to a phono preamp, and then connect the preamp right to the Sonos Amp (avoiding need for receiver)? If doing this, could all 3 speakers play the sound at once?Or is there a better way/better product than the Sonos Amp?Thank you!
Does the Project Phono SB that Sonos sells on its site include a preamp ? Thinking of getting one , hooking it up to my Play 5, and running it through my sonos network which includes two Play 1s. Will this work ?
What is the best way to totally destroy my Sonos Play 1 speaker. I am so tired of it losing connection to my wireless and losing connection to my Google assistant. Then the ap is terrible trying to get it reconnected. Good sound. But will sound better when I run it over with my car.
Brand new Sonos Arc, subwoofer, and 2x 1SL’s. Brand new Samsung QN90B. Sonos is hooked up to eARC port with high speed new HDMI cables. The Dish gives 5.1 sound on regular tv channels and Amazon app on Dish. But when I stream Netflix movie through Dish app, it’s flat stereo sound and nothing from rear speakers. If I use the Netflix app on the Samsung tv, I do get 5.1 sound. Why?And where on the Sonos app on Android phone does it show what the sound quality/type is?
sick to the back teeth with Sonos messing around with updates think of selling up and trying someone els, one week it sounds ok the next it sounds terrible
