I bought an ARC at Xmas to finally get decent sound from the TV.  (Previously I’d used a cheap DAC to input from the TV to my HiFi system.)I’m toying with the idea of adding a SONOS Port to the HiFi so that the kids can link their iPhones/Pads apps to the HiFi as Spotify is great for background music and this will enable access to internet radio.Would such a system also allow me to play the TV/ARC through the HiFi simultaneously and therefore enable me to augment the bass?  If yes, are there any snags/issues that I’d need to consider.  Having a good quality vinyl and CD based HiFi ,coupled with a digital media system, sounds like Nirvana, Nevermind the pan-generational benefits within the family (pun intended!) Can it be achieved or am I being Dagenham (3 stops beyond Barking?)

Hi, the most recent 14.18 update fixed the subwoofer issue with TruePlay tuning on my setup (Arc+Subx2+Fivex2), but made the rear surround speakers significantly louder than before.Any surround sound dialog sounds like it’s at least double the volume when projected from the rear when compared to the front. Is anyone else running into this problem?

Hi My friend is considering to buy Sonos speakers for her home - 4-5 speakers in different rooms of her home.  She has never owned wireless speakers.  She is an Apple user with iphone 13, Macbook, ipad and iwatch - the whole family with Apple music streaming.  There are several other streaming serivces like Siriux XM but she does not have Spotify or Youtube PremiumuQuestions:Overall, how does the quality of the Apple Homepod mini sound compare with Sonos speakers? How good is the Siri integration with the Sonos speakers given we use Apple music streaming?   (Hey Siri….) Can the Sonos speakers allow you to enable them in 1 room at a time vs all rooms.  Can another family member use a different speaker for their use at the same time? Which Sonos speakers would you recommend for someone who wants to set them up for different rooms in a home?Any other suggestions or considerations before making a purchase would  be appreciated.

Newbie here i want to group sonos arc, sonos sub, sonos amp and a pair of sonos ceiling speakers to make a 5.1 setup for both my TV and music. I’ve heard sparingly that there may be a delay in TV audio etc.Please advise if this is doable and recommended.

Can Ray cast the sound on the TV to my two Sonos ONE speakers as front left and right?

I have beam gen 2 and sub mini. If I wanted to add surround sound which speakers do I buy? 

Hi - I’m trying to maximize the Sonos home theater experience (to the extent that is possible).   One bummer…..wife will not let me install an Arc Soundbar under the TV.   So I’m purchasing two invisible Sonance speakers that will hide in the drywall on either side of the TV.   After reading many posts on here….this is my plan: Buy 3 sonos ampsFirst Amp will power the two sonance speakers mentioned above to create a phantom center.   Since I can’t get an Arc, my hope is that these two speakers will be an adequate substitute for center channel dialogue.Second Amp will power two additional FRONT speakers on the far left and far right of our living room for to expereince the true left and right channelsThird Amp will power two additional speakers on the rear left and rear right of our living room for rear surround sound.Finally I’m adding an Sonos Sub to the set up. Will this work to allow me to experience a 5.1 home theater set up?   Or will the first two amps and speakers mentioned abov

  Hi, I have a Sonos Arc since almost a year, and somehow I’m not content with the sound it adds to my LG OLED TV. Already had a nice call with Sonos Service, and according to the very engaged hotline agent, signal formats, connections, update status and settings were just fine. And I tried Trueplay mit various iOS devices and in multiple runs. The sound is rather “thin”, I’m not really feeling that the sound is much better than the built-in speakers of the slim LG TV. Might I be having a faulty unit that I should send in for service repair? Or is this mediocre sound quality “expected behavior” of the Arc? My questions:Room acoustics: The sound is reflected from the Arc on the one side by a wall, whereas in the other direction there is some open space (see images). Plus, I’m sitting quite close to the back wall. Any chance to get better results with the Arc in this arrangement by changing things in the room, or should I rather switch to some other home theater audio system?  Upgrade to

HiI have a Sony Bravia TV and a Playbar and sub-mini. I moved two speakers from one room to the TV room as I wanted surround sound.  At that moment I lost audio control  of my TV remote.  What did I mess up?    I tried resetting my Playbar.   Succeeded.  I tried resetting the remote ( the sonos app only asked that I press the + button for setup?).  Both attempts appear to work according to the Sonos app, but not Remote audio control.Without using the TV, I get full surround sound.  I thought it might be an IR conflict with my Cable TV box, but it worked before. Help. 

I have a Connect and Connect Amp. Both are connected to different mesh routers in different rooms (using Ethernet). Everything was working fine, until I installed a new mesh router a couple of days ago as the old mesh router was starting to give me problems. Now the app (Sonos S1) is able to find the Connect Amp. But is not able to find the Connect. I’ve tried to use “find missing product”, “add a new product to existing system” in setting, reset the Connect to factory setting, moved the Connect to the same room/router as the Connect Amp with no success. Any suggestion and help would be appreciated.Thanks!Sanjiv 

So I’ve got a set of older speakers (play5 gen1, playbase, 2x play one gen1). I’ve had this problem for a while but finally trying to resolve it. Basically spotify cuts out for 5 seconds or so every now and then. Can be fine for a while, can cut out twice in a single track. Seems pretty random. I’ve had various chats with Sonos and Spotify but no solution. Sonos support now say that basically the play5 gen 1 can’t cope with the data rate from spotify.There doesn’t seem to be a way around this, either play5 requesting lower data rate or spotify sending lower data rate. It’s a little frustrating, and who know when the other speakers will be affected (I’ve not tested them as extensively). And all speakers play radio from Tunein fine, and Tidal is fine as well. So the conversation - do I replace the play5 (and if so what with? Sonos or alternative?) or switch to another streaming service? Or something else (I guess I could hook a Pi up to audio line in to Play5 and live with that, but it’s

Any time I adjust something ...volume, change stations  ...any interactive change to the app on the mac, then minimize the app. After about 15-30 seconds it pops up again. How can I stop this?  Thanks,  JA

Hello all. Just got my Sonos Arc system. Connected to Epson TW-7100 4k Projector. Using the Feintech VMS14201 HDMI 2.1 Matrix Switch to connect Apple TV 4k and Fire TV 4k. But getting no sound with the HDMI-optical connector. Feintech def supports my projector model. Any help on solving this would much appreciated. Connected the system as in the diagram (attached). I would hate to have to return the system.

I just purchased the 935 directly from OREI using the current 10% discount ($116.10/no sales tax) to use with my Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini, and One SLs with a 2016 Samsung W/Arc.  Anyone else have the 935; if so, how’s it working?  The only difference I can see from the 931 is that you can connect 3 external devices.  I considered the HD Fury Arcana, but at $299 it was a little pricey, since I spent a wad on the Beam and Sub a month ago.  I’m hoping, “You get what you pay for.” doesn’t apply with the 935.

Hello, I have a small issue. We have 3 amps on our system that should control 3 different areas with their own speakers.When we first set up the system the ‘Gym’ amp and speakers were on the app. However after we had some internet issues the ‘Gym’ amp/speakers now just copy whatever is being played on the ‘Reception’ amp/speakers. But as I said, the ‘Gym’ used to be it’s own individual area. It’s as if the ‘Reception’ amp now controls the speakers in the reception and the gym. But the gym should be controllable through it’s own amp. They are not ‘tied’ together (when you get 2 or more amps to play the same), it’s just the the gym has completely gone from the app, but as I said is till playing music!Any suggestions would be very appreciated!Cheers A  

I am planning to get sonos speakers for outdoor area. I have a pool area and garden at a total of 5-7000 sqft. I was planning to get 1 amp with 3 pairs of sonos architectural sonance outdoor speakers and a 6.1 sonance garden series with sonos amp.  how should I calculate if that is enough or not? Is there a thumb rule to calculate? 

Hi.  I received an e-mail offering 20% off Sonos accessories through tomorrow, 2/1/23.  The discount is supposed to be applied at checkout, without having to enter a promo code.  Two days ago, I ordered a pair of Sanus speaker stands, that appeared to be 20% off, but I was actually charged full price at payment, so I canceled.  Now, when I go back to sonos.com, none of the 20% off appears on any product despite the fact the sale is supposedly going on now.  I was signed in when I ordered.I tried reaching the sales team via chat and phone, but no one is available.  Does anyone know what is going on?

Hello, how to know if i listen a music in 24 bit or not? No display available on Sonos app? Any ways to force it?I force the 24 bit/48 khz on PC with spotify app and sound quality is just incredible! Thanks! 

Hello all,  I got a brand new home theater set up including 1* Beam (Gen 2) with 2*One SL for surround which I’m using with a Smart LCD TV PANASONIC (TX-55A650E) plugged in through HDMI ARC.  Overall the sound is pretty good, but I finally noticed that all the sounds emitted by an external source such as Playstation, Internet TV Box (which are set up either in Passthrough mode or Dolby) are actually giving standard Stereo PCM sound.  The only way I found to get a Dolby or DTS signal is using the TV apps or watching movies through the USB port. Once I’m using an external source, it seems there is no way to get a dolby sounds…   Has anyone ever had this problem and if so, how did they solve it ?  Thanks for your help. Julien

  I am in the process of building a new house and we are in the framing stage. We are getting a new TV (Samsung Frame) which will be mounted over a fireplace. We currently have a Sonos Sound Bar , and two Ikea Bookshelf speakers set to surround sound.Mounting a Sound Bar is not going to be feasible above the fireplace since it is a frame TV.  Since we are willing to buy all new equipment and prefer to go ceiling, what us the best option? Do I need bookshelf Speakers? Also, we like to extend 2 ceiling speakers in the kitchen area to extend music or tv as well. 

I tried pairing my PC keyboard to my Kindle Fire HD8 which I primarily use as a sonos controller at my desk.I was able to type in the search bar and use the volume controls on the keyboard. I was wondering if there are shortcuts that will allow me to search, and select from search results? This would be amazing if possible.
