This has to be the dumbest question around here, but here goes:When buying a blue / red / green Roam, what color is the USB cable included? I’ve done the research and genuinely couldn’t find that info.A bit silly but I do want my charger to match the cable, otherwise it’s ugly.
Anyone seen a review or discussion of ERA300 as rears for an Arc HT setup? Currently using a pair of Ones as rears. Assuming the 300 will add additional Atmos content?
I have SONOS speakers in my Audi Q3 and would like to get the best out of them. Is there an APP that can be installed on Apple CarPlay that enables a superior performance than simply streaming through Apple Music in CarPlay.
Is there any plan for Sonos to ever make us all happy and support 7.1 surround sound? I love the Arc but it takes up 3 channels.
I’m new to the Sonos system and so far have only the Arc and 2 Era 100’s. In terms of listening to music would it be best to set up the Era 100’s as a part of the Arc as surrounds, or just set them up as a stereo pair? They will still be in the same room, but I would name them differently, so that I get the stereo sound from those two speakers? I don’t have the sub yet ($$). Would having this change the answer to this question?
what is the cheapest and easiest way to contact Bluetooth to play on my sonos system?!? I heard that you can use roam and cast roam to the rest of your system and if that’s true with roam is that true with move too?
Hey Everyone! I’m not sure if I should get the Arc or Beam for my set up. I know that Arc is the better speaker, but not sure it is the better choice for where it will be placed. See the photo of the shelf below. The shelf will only allow for 3 inches of space on the ends of the Arc and 2 inches of space above it. Since Arc has speakers on the top and sides, I’m not sure if the Beam would perform better for this situation. What do you think is the better choice for this set up?
Audible now has a growing collection of Dolby Atmos material. Is that likely to be supported through the Sonos app at some point?I’m enjoying Atmos content much more through the Sonos speakers than while using headphones - so it’d be great to listen to this content with the speakers.
Not sure which would be the better choice. Ray would be centered directly behind me while I'm doing dishes and cooking. One would be up higher on top of the refrigerator off to the left behind me but it can easily be turned. There's a sub in the living behind partial wall with beam and 2 ones behind me, however the sub is the only speaker that has a direct line of sight to the kitchen. I get ok indirect music into the area but would really like to add music directly in that space. No good way to put a speaker or two speakers by the sink and stove. The only room in my house without Sonos. No good space to put two ones or even one of them except on top of the refrigerator.
‘talkSPORT on tunein live is not available’ It’s been like this for weeks now on voice command for talkSPORT. It works fine on echo dot and nest. talkRADIO voice command works on Sonos but not talkSPORT. Fix please.
So it is great that we can now listen to Apple Music Dolby Atmos from the Sonos app, but when playing to the Sonos Amp does it stream in Lossless as there is no icon to indicate this?
This post is rather long. Its purpose is to educate. Not specifically about a Sonos product or business model; but more so in the use of certain terms when expressing one’s opinion. This is a community where members come to learn and share their opinions/ideas. The words we use as just as important to properly convey the message; as is the message itself. The post in question is titled “Playbar + Era 300. In that post the terms “Profit and Sustainability” were used regarding Sonos in a not so flattering manner. If you continue reading; below are my comments taken from the subject post…. ….Not to fault the author; but to speak on how the comments in this thread about making the Playbar compatible with the Era 300’s; or vise versa, have (unsupportively) crossed into areas that accuse Sonos of being a “profiteer” and reneging on its pledge of “product sustainability”. Not So. You can call me a Sonos “Fanboy” if you like...that’s your prerogative.Let’s talk about “Profit” and “Sustainabilit
I have a projector (want to coonect to a chromecast) and a TV (want to connect to an android box) and I want to be able to watch both at the same tine but be able to choose which plays audio through a Sonos Beam - I plan on connecting Bluetooth headphones to the other. I may want the sonos audio to play on one or other device depending on what is on at the time. So I have two separate hdmi cables (one from the chromecast and the other from the android box ) and then have an hdmi audio extractor with multiple inputs and one output that I can use to connect either the TV setup or projector setup to the beam. However, as there is only one output this set up doesn't work for connecting both devices to the Sonos and being able to switch between them... Any ideas? Many thanks
The directory of radio stations for radio.net on Sonos has not been refreshed in a long time, which means old streams no longer work on Sonos (but work on radios.net because they updated their directory). Can you please update their directory on Sonos so all station stream work correctly?
I listen to music probably 80% of the time, compare to 20% watching movies or streaming video, and just trying to figure out the best way to setup my den. I know this community has better solutions than me so I’m here asking for your thoughts and help.Current Setup:ARC + Sub-Mini (for movies)Sonos Ones Gen 1 (music only)Sonos Amp (that I haven’t hooked up and had for about 16 months till in the box)75” SamsungGen 3 Sub arrives tomorrow and my ERA 300s next week. This setup got delayed and I should have disconnected all the Russound equipment when I bought the ARC and at least used the Sonos Amp to drive 4 speakers. Was planning to use the Sonos Amp to drive two Jamo in one wall di-pole speakers (Model SU631K4). Currently the room as no surrond speakers as I starting removing all Russound configured devices, the 7.1 Integra Stero, and all the rack mounted items which are all idle along with the Klipsch speakers in the built in cabinet. The five non-sonos speakers in this room are all
Would adding 1 era 300 to my beam tv sound improve my sound in a smaller room?
Hello,I am very satisfied with my pair of Sonos Five, playing music all day long. Now I am thinking to buy a Sonos beam gen 2 to enjoy similar quality of sound with films too. But I read it may affect the quality sound of my music?! The pair of Five would no more be used the way they're now when I am listening to music (some sound would come from the beam 2 and no more from the excellent Five's). Except if switching on the app which seems to be a pain...Is it true?!Thanks
I am delighted with Sonos, the sound is marvelous, the aesthetic of the products is delightful and the ecosystem works perfectly with what I have, except with one thing. This is where I need your help and your counsel. I actually don't really think that I need to go as far up as to the CEO: What I need is an expert in HiFi.What I have from Sonos:- Beam 2- Sub Mini- Moveall of this connected to our Samsung TVThen I have:- Marantz M-CR610- 2 Passive SpeakersI would like to integrate those 2 passive speakers with or without the Marantz into the Sonos ecosystem, so that we can have surround sound when watching TV and still use it as our HiFi. I have done some research and came across the Sonos Port and the Sonos Amp but both products are rather expensive and I would like to avoid making mistakes and having to return any product.Do you have some ideas or counsel on this?
this week searching for books is no longer possible FIX IT!!
Hey everybody strange thing happening with my 2 of my sonos AMP and 1-2 radio stations. I have no problem with most radio stations but there are 2 stations (and it makesno difference if chosing it on sonos radio or tunein) who cause some problems. I have 9 „rooms“ in total. 4 AMP‘s , 1 move, 1 beam and 3 one‘s!on every room the 2 concerned stations play with no problem EVERY TIME. On 2 AMP‘s they mostly don‘t play…. I just get the „tunein“ chime on repeat. A very few times they work, but if i stop them and want to start again, they don‘t work.the work around is to select a 2nd room with the AMP and start the station before deselecting again the 2nd room.somebody knows what that is?oh yeah i am on sonos S2 and newest update bought all my elements toogether last year. Bever tried radios before so can‘t say if the problem is recent or no thanks
I’m pretty confused here and am struggling to get an answer. A long time ago I had a Deezer 1 year trial of their Hi Def audio service. It played through all my SONOS equipment at that time - certainly pre S1/S2 split on an original Play 3 and a number of Connects which all became defunct later. I didn’t maintain the subscription as I didn’t want the cost, and have used Spotify since. Now I’m looking at Apple Music. It offers a Hi Def option on music files - lossless - and even though I’m on S2 and have upgraded all my SONOS equipment to latest models, I may or may not be able to play the Hi Def audio through any of it. Really? We’ve gone backwards over the last 10 (?) years. I’d be interested to get a clear answer. I’m struggling to believe that SONOSNET is incapable of running a Hi Def stream around it.If it works, then I’ve got a reason to swap over from Spotify (who won’t offer Hi Def) to Apple. If it doesn’t work, then there is no reason. So Apple if you are listening, then it woul
Ok so decided with all my Sonos equipment I have I wanted with the new era units and new LG OLED 2023 G series I wanted to set it up the right way. got the TV mounted and of course the room isn’t a square. But now I replaced the Sonos pair of ones with the new era 100’s. And have a pair of the era 300. What’s the best placement and use of these. someone told me the 100’s should be to the right and left of you cornered a bit if it’s a corner room and then the era 300 to be used as surround sound in the rear corners A bit. Meaning I should use the mounts and change room set up?? I know what I know and know what I don’t
If I connect a T1 to an Era 300 will it be possible to play vinyl through my existing Move and Playbar? thank you
Looking to purchase a singular Era 100 to link to my beam gen 2 for surround sound. Is this possible? I saw something that said it had to be a pair of era 100s.
Having lists with hundreds of songs and not be able to sort them by “date added” is very frustrating. Please add this feature!!
