Hi,I have a facility with 5 Sonos Ports. each in different floor. each Port connected to dedicated Amp and speakers. All Ports reside on the same network (VLAN)the need is to be able to make the 1st Port determine the music that would be played through the rest 4 Port devices. Is that possible to do through using the Port devices only?thanks
Hi the problem I have is what is in the title, when I stream music directly to Sonos Arc I can control the volume using the TV remote, but only if the TV is off, if the TV is on but the source is still set to a streaming service or AirPlay the TV remote is not able to change the volume. I have an LG G1 and use the magic remote.
Hi there, anything new on the manual sorting topic of SONOS favorites within the SONOS app? It‘s almost one year ago, since the topic was taken into the team to discuss this feature request. It’s a feature users requested now for years. kind regards, michael
Probably elementary, but I’m from the vinyl age. I’ve set up a pair of Roam2 for use with my home Sonos system. If I take them when I travel and connect them with another device, will I then have to set them up again for my home system when I return.
I am thinking about buying Ace but as I understand it the home theatre must be on wifi? I have my soundbar hardwired with ethernet, so does that mean Ace won’t work for listening to TV through Sonos Ace?
Just receive my arc. Ultra an 2 era300i don’t have reliable wifi can I use Bluetooth to run this system
I’ve got about 10 rooms of Sonos. Have held off updating to S2 for a couple of years due to all the negative feedback on S2 and there being no compelling reason to upgrade.Spotify Lossless finally provides something that makes me want to do the upgrade. But I can’t seem to find anything that gives me the detail as to the current functionality differences between the 2 apps. I see lots of historic stuff about not being able to search local libraries, edit the queue etc, as well as problems like lagging volume changes and speakers dropping out.Is there a good comparative list of functionality differences that anyone could point me too, and/or an up to date thread on usability? Thanks
I used my upgrade credit a while back for my play 5. Still have the device, am I able to give to someone else to use or can it only be put in the bin?
One of my Sonos Five pair just spontaneously died after just a little over two years. Just outside the warranty. It will not turn on. This happened while in standby during the night. Both Sonos and the local reseller act as though its expected and normal. And are not interested in fixing or replacing the 2 yo speaker.Im told the speaker cannot be fixed, only replaced. I have also found comments online saying this malfunction is not uncommon - but i cannot corroborate that. Does anyone have any experience with Five going dead after two years?and was anybody able to find the magic words to say to Sonos to make them own up to this disgrace rather than sending you off to buy a new one with a shameful discount of 30% like a cheap brand? Also, does anybody know if there are repair labs that can benefit from the almost brand new working parts (other than Sonos themselves)?
Want to make use of two of my old Sonos Play:1 to connect to a Fire Stick. What are my options? I cant really use HDMI as the Firestick is in my projector which is ceiling mounted. Could perhaps use a line in and run a long 3.5mm or use a bluetooth adapter. But going to need something to interface with the Play:1’s as they have no line in.
can arc ultra be mounted to TV using same mount as arc first generation
i have two sonos 5;s connected to a mini sub in a small room but would like to expand the sound what can i add to this set up that is integrated and not add speakers from another domain or room under grouping
Hi. I want to install a Sonos system at my office. I need (1) speaker (it doesn’t matter the type) at front desk and (3) ceiling speakers in 3 different rooms. All (4) speakers will reproduce the same music from the same source, but I want to be able to control the volume individually in each room. What is your recommendation?
How to reconnect sonos boost
I just want to mention that most of the functionality I was used to is more or less back on track after 18 months. But one of the most important for me is still missing and that is the possibility to return to the cue of music playing after you turn on the TV and then of again (or any suorce or radio stream for that matter). Sometimes I even want to watch the TV but listen to music. I know that the cue is there because it’s possible to restart from the desktop application, but nowhere to be found in the app or web application. This is by far the most frustrating aspect of the app and the constant need for reload a playlist if using your iPhone or iPad. Sonos - Please re add this option 🙏 Or am I missing something here?
Comment je peux configurer ma sonos ray a mon enceinte sonos one!Je précise j'en ai que une
Hi, I think to buy a sonos ace. But someone could confirm to me please that it is compatible with sonos beam 1 ?Thanks in advance.Best regards
Porqué SONOS no hace para poder ordenar las listas ¿de reproducción alfabéticamente? Es un engorro tener que estar buscando las listas y si tienes muchas como me pasa a mí es un incordio.
We’re having problems with many podcasts from Amazon music that used to work (on S1 systems). When I try to play This American Life, for example, on an S1 Sonos using the Amazon app, it doesn’t work. When I look at the Sonos S1 app, I see a pop up dialog sayingUnable to play ‘This American Life’ - the connection to pfx.vpixl.com:443 was lost. Other podcasts have triggered similar dialogs with “prfx.byspotify.com”, “chrt.fm”, and “www.podtrac.com”.I’m told these are ad trackers and some form of redirect is required. Perhaps S1 Sonos cannot handle these correctly?
Whem will Trueplay be supported on the IPad Air, and why is it currently not supported?
Has anyone figured out how to get Pandora Modes (e.g. Deep Cuts, Discovery, Energy, etc.) working in the new Sonos iOS app? I’ve found several year-old locked conversations on this topic. None have any real solutions. Some blame Pandora for the problem - which I’m not buying because I also use the Sonos app for Mac and Pandora Modes work just fine. (See below.) So Pandora’s APIs work. While we are at it - I’ve closed the “Alexa AWS October 20 Outage” notification banner 15 times while writing the few sentences above. Way to go Sonos: keep reminding us of how your software is constantly broken - and how you focus on your needs instead of your customers…. but I digress.
Ace swap back feature not holding last volume. Have to go use phone to set volume back to where it was before swapping. Using feature control on headphones is reason i bought the ace headphones!!! And also find it annoying to have to turn down the ray when I switch back Whats up sonos?????
I’m unsure whether the Beam or Arc would be better for my apartment. I don’t want to bother my neighbors. My living room is about 15 feet wide (though one side only has a partial wall with the kitchen extending another 10 feet, if that matters for sound wave reflection). My couch is about 8 feet from the tv. The room extends another 12 feet beyond that, where I have a dining room table. There is another 10 foot room after that to reach the wall I share with my neighbor. The wall the tv is on is at the end of the building, so no neighbor there, nor above me. If possible, since it’s one big room, I would like to also use the soundbar for background music while sitting at the dining room table. Given the large extra cost if I get the Arc, I’m unlikely to get anything else; if I get the Beam, I’d consider a couple Era 100s for rear speakers (not sure if those could be used as regular speakers for the dining table when not using them for a movie). I’m not an audiophile, so I’m not sure the
Am I right in thinking that Sonos Play1 can be used in separate rooms but not as surround speakers with arc ultra sound bar? Connected using wifi not Airplay
Hi! I’ve bought a new TV (Samsung Q7Fa) which doesn’t have an optical out. I’ve read that I need a HDMI ARC to Optical adapter/converter. I also wan’t to be able to control the playbar volume with the TV remote. Does anyone have a suggestion for an adapter that will work? Thanks in advance!
