Recently replaced our standard TV with HD projector in our living room. Looking for speakers that would provide a surround sound and at a loss in comparing the Sonos products. Anyone have Sonos they use with their home projector?
I have an Arc with two SL1s I see that Sonos have specials for the large woofer. My question is which is the most compatible for Arc. I understand that Sub 4 is best for Arc Ultra but mine is the first gen Arc. Also Costco have Sub 3 special price of $779 and Sonos have Sub 4 for $719. I assume the more I add on the greater the home theatre experience is.
Bonjour je vais acheter une arc ultra et je me demande si il y a besoin d'effectuer un rodage ? Merci d'avance.
I have two Sonos One speakers, along with a Sub Mini, that I use to listen to music in a medium-size bedroom while I lie in bed, the speakers positioned on either side of the bed, at the head of the bed. I just bought two ERA 100 speakers. My original idea was to just replace the Ones, but it occurred to me that I might get a fuller sound using all four speakers. Should I use the ERA 100s as my main speakers and the Ones as additional? Should the ERAs be at my head, and the Ones at the other end of the room, or the Ones at my head like surround sound and the ERAs at the other end of the room? Thanks!
Why does the Sonos Beam Gen2 increases Sony Bravia TV volume by 2 levels instead of 1?How can I fix this? Please help.
I want to buy era200. Aim is to upgrade. However price no different with Black Friday deals doing an upgrade. Is there any point buying as an upgrade. Can you combine discounts. Thanks
Can I conect lg subwoofer without soundbar to sonos amp
I listen to music occasionally ; thinking of ERA 100 to replace Gen 1 in my den. I have another Gen1 on my outdoor patio that will remain. Would I hear a difference?
hi quick question as novice. Im buying a new tv and sound system for tv and audio for new open plan room. Being old i assumed i needed to provide an inset in the wall and provided a space 8cm deep big enough for 65 inch tv and sound bar. I was talking to richer sounds and realise the tv are only 11mm deep so thought as they had a deal on samsung 77 95 id put it over hole. they said i could put a sonos sound bar unnderneath resting on the inset. this would mean the sound bar stuck out 2cm from the tv. Richer sounds said this would be fine s speakers on the front. But reading install sonos says needs 100mm above bar, i would want to make this minimum i could as gap between two would show the inset and might look strange. Also they said if i bought the arc it could play the music for the room aswell, the room is approx 10m long 6m wide and tv just off middle of width wall. The other option is to go with tvs sound bar (free at moment with tv) and put in seperate eras for music, Any sug
Songs with accents or special characters in the titles missing on Sonos Controller App when imported from a playlist on macOS.For Windows users I found this topic that will give you more information about this problem. For those who are on the macOS side here’s the way I used to fix it. I’m running macOS12 « Monterey » but it should work with many mores. My Sonos Controller is 17.2 and the Sonos OS is S2. First create *m3u file and locate the songs in the playlist with a text editor. I use TextEdit but you can choose whatever floats your boat. Depending on the app you used to create the playlist (I use Mp3tag) you’ll find the path of the songs as: /Users/polo/Music/Jean Jacques Goldman/En Public/CD1/Pas l'indifférence.mp3Where polo is my username. Now we have to modify the path of each song in the playlist to be accessed by the Sonos Controller app as follows: In macOS the url location doesn’t (at least for me) work like in Windows. I’ve found that you have to change it with the name s
Hi guys! I recently bought a pair of era 300 mainly to listen to music. With Roku's app I can stream the audio to the pair and it works good. However I am missing some of that 5.1 experience because Bluetooth from Roku is kinda limited. So I was thinking of adding a soundbar to the system. Will the era300 full functions be too limited if I pair it with a beam? Will it work as 5.1 system anyway, with Dolby Atmos? Also: to hear music I have to create a different system within the Sonos app? Read some stuff about this here in this forum and got only more confused
set up , totally new to this , just moved house and ceilings are full of speakers , probably 15 years old , lots of ends coming out walls , what do i need to get them to work
I’ve been using Sonos devices since long and I’ve always preferred to wire them because, well, I wire everything whenever possible (less radio noise, more reliable, some rooms don’t have good wifi signal, etc). I’m saddened to discover that the new models force me to buy extra adapters (I suppose other not-Sonos adapter won’t work) just to connect the home speakers to the ethernet network. It’s actually extra annoying because Amazon don’t sell them and the Sonos store don’t deliver to freighter services (as Amazon does) so I can’t get them where I live (Dominican Republic). If you know other shops who sell the combo adapter please let me know, thanks.
I want to move eras around for other purposes, like playing music without the full surround set up. is it possible to create a duplicate living room where eras are not set up in surround?
I just bought a Sonos Arc refurb for a good price and it has not shipped yet...the Arc is a little bit "old" now haha. Anything I might be missing out on? I just use my TV with an nvidia Shield Pro and will use the Arc with the eARC port on my TV. Nothing too fancy in terms of use, just a PLEX library and some streaming services. Also I see that only Apple iOS is supported for their room configurations. I do not use Apple products. Am I missing out much by not being able to set up the speakers and map the room so to speak with an iOS device?I am using a 65” LG G5 OLED. Bedroom setup, I opted to not get the subwoofer. Thanks :)
I have a set of play3 with the ARC+sub I want to replace the play3 for era300 will they be easy to setup in app ty
Hi, I have a 15% upgrade credit activated and I am trying to buy an ERA 100, but I dont see the credit on the checkout. Any tips?
I am buying a Samsung OLED 65” tv, how will the sound fair once connected to my Sonos beam please
Hi my Sonos keeps dropping out from WiFi. Every other device in the house is connected to WiFi but my Sonos app isn’t finding my speakers
HelloI am considering buying a soundbar plus a sub. Currently, I am looking at the combo:1. Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub Mini2. Sonos Beam 2 + Sub Mini + 2x Era 100 as surroundsI mostly watch movies (Netflix, Apple TV, Disney, so all kinds of audio setups), and I am looking for the biggest immersion. The price where I live is about the same. What would be better? I have a small room of 3m x 4m and have a couch against the wall (shorter side, so my 85” TV is 2.8m from my seating position).I don’t have space behind the couch, so I would have to mount Eras beside me (about a 100-degree angle), and it would be about 80cm from my head. What would be better in this case? Arc Ultra or Beam 2 with surround? Also, my wife would prefer not to have drivers behind cthe ouch :)Also, is the surround sound noticeable in movies? Isn't it better to buy a better soundbar overall?
I am considering in-ceiling speakers for open plan sitting/kitchen in a new apartment, but am not sure if individual speakers would be a better fit.I already have Beam and Symfonisk floor lamps that work well for TV surround.I’m considering in-ceiling speakers for the kitchen and possibly more to cover the whole room, although they would not be used for TV. How many ceiling speakers and placement would be recommended? I don’t want to buy two Amps to have separate rooms for sitting/TV area and kitchen. Alternatively, a pair of 100s for the kitchen would be a lot cheaper and the Beam and Lamps could be grouped for listening throughout the space. Primary uses are background listening and TV. Any ideas? Thanks
If I add a 2nd ERA 100 and pair it in stereo, does the volume slider button on top of the 1st speaker adjust the volume accordingly on the other speaker? I frequently adjust volume up or down while listening to music, and I don’t want to use the app every time. I really hope I wouldn’t have to individually adjust volume on both speakers constantly, or that would be a deal breaker. I’m ready to pull the trigger on the 2nd speaker but need to clarify this 1st. Thanks.
So many frustrating things since the Sonos app debacle. While some aspects of the S2 app have slowly gotten better, on my iMac using the Sonos Desktop Controller I can call up and play Sonos playlists (all of which were created on my iMac), however they will not play using the S2 controller on my IOS or Android devices even though the playlist icon shows on the S2 controller. It spins for a while and that’s it. Note if I search the music library for songs within the playlists I can play the individual songs. Do others have this same experience and what, if any, remedies exist for this problem. Please note that I do not use any Sonos speakers. My system is composed only of Ports, Sonos Connects, Amps and Connect Amps. Thank you.
Hello everyone, new here and new to Sonos so please be gentle if I have some things incorrect. I just built a man-cave garage that is 24’ wide x 30’ long with 11’6” ceilings in it. Like an idiot i didnt run any wires for speakers in it when we were building it and now its fully finished and running wires at this point isnt happening. I do have wired internet run out there to an Eero Pro 7 along with a 8 port gigibit switch so internet isnt an issue. I also have a 75” Sony X90L TV hanging on the wall with an old sony soundbar and an Apple TV 4K. Needless to say the soundbar sounds like crap and Im looking to upgrade it. I am a bit of an audiophile as I did high end car audio for about 15 years in my younger days so I do know the difference in good vs bad audio. Im looking to setup something that I can accomplish these things with:Work with my tv/apple tv so be able to reproduce the sound. Not really looking for “Surround” sound too much. Dont care about Atmos..Looking more for stereo so
I have the Arc and a sub. I would like to add the surround speakers that can also be my stereo sound. I can’t decide between the 5s or the 300! I do have a very large space
