How many ceiling speakers can I connect to one amp?
I recently switched from spotify to AM. Spotify worked well with the sonos speakers (two Sonos Ones, one Playbase combined with Sub 2 and two Play 1s). Now when I play a song on AM and airplay to the sonos speakers, it connects fine to the individual Sonos Ones, but when I connect to the Playbase/Sub/Play 1s combination, it stutters for about 4 seconds through the music and then settles down. It will also stutter if I change the song, re-start the song etc. Have tried the usual, restarting router, de-installing and re-installing the sonos app, AM app, removing and re-adding the playbase, removing AM from sonos and re-adding.
Hi, I have a large room (4.5m by 10m with 3m high ceilings) and I want to install in-ceiling, 8 inch Sonos speakers. I would really appreciate advice on whether two pairs would be enough, whether to go with one or two amps and how best to position them. The room will be divided into two zones front of the long side and back of the long side. One half a sitting area and one half a dining area. Thanks!
Are replacement batteries the same for the OG Move and Move 2?
We have a music listening and TV viewing area in our living room. Music is a stereo pair of Play1s either side of the TV. TV sound is HDMI ARC to a Beam Gen 1 under the TV. It all works well.We have no interest in surround sound (and even if we did our room would make it really hard to put the surrounds anywhere sensible). The Play1s sound better than the Beam for music - not surprising they are physically separated to give a decent stereo soundstage. Was wondering about adding a sub mini to the set up. As far as I can tell would have to add the sub to either the TV/Beam or music/Play1s. Is there a way to get the benefit of the sub for TV and music without losing the convenience and ease of our current set up? Whatever we do has to be easy for everyone to use. Thanks
Hi.Have a big Sonos system. Exceed 32 units.Divided into more Sonos systems on same network. No problems - all using Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi. Have Ikea Dirigera (newest) and Ikea remotes on my “primary system”.The Ikea switches (over time) from primary to secondary or third Sonos system leaving remotes non functional. When I power off and reconnect power to Dirigera - it again finds my primary system until next time it switches. In the Ikea Smart Home app - I cannot select a system. Look like Ikea scans my network for units and selects.
Hi Sonos Team and Community,I am writing to propose a quality-of-life software update regarding the Status Light behavior on the Sonos Arc Ultra.Currently, the settings only appear to allow the light to be permanently "On" or permanently "Off." I would like to request a "Dynamic" or "Active Only" setting that bridges the gap between these two options. The Proposed Behavior:The status light should automatically illuminate when the speaker is in active use (receiving a signal from TV, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi) and turn off when the speaker enters idle or standby mode. The Reasoning (Why this is needed):Visual Feedback: Users need to know when the device is successfully receiving a signal or connected to a device. "Always Off" removes these helpful visual cues entirely.Distraction Reduction: Having the light "Always On" can be visually distracting in a dark room when the system is not actually being used. This feature would provide the perfect middle ground: visual confirmation of playback when y
Hi fellow Sonos enthusiasts, im looking for a bit of advice. i currently have an Arc Ultra and sub 4 in our Family room which is a very awkward shape. It is approximately 7m by 3m and laid out as per the attached picture (sofa and dining area along with opening to open plan kitchen) The ceiling is also vaulted 9ft at rear (top of image) to about 14ft at highest point (bottom of image) and as such the atmos effect from the arc is a little compromised. im now looking at add rears which will likely need to be roughly 7ft high on the rear (far left of pic) wall. im not too concerned with cost but don’t want to fork out the additional c£400 if the benefit will be negligible. would appreciate peoples thoughts and if anyone has had a similar predicament what did you do?
HelloHow to adjust left right balance on a stereo pair of Era 300 for music listening?I am honestly shocked that such a basic and essential feature is not available by default. My situation is straightforward. I cannot place my speakers in a perfectly centered listening position. The right speaker is farther away, so I simply want to increase its volume to compensate and keep a proper stereo image. How can we adjust the left right balance on an Era 300 stereo pair when listening to music? If the option exists somewhere, I cannot find it. If it does not exist, I do not understand how a system positioned as premium can lack such a fundamental control. Thanks
Is there any way to make Apple Music's iOS 26 automix work with Sonos speakers?
Hi,I would like to order the combination set of Arc Ultra + 2 Era 300s. The Arc needs to be black with the Eras white. Is it possible to order the combination deal in this configuration? There is only an all black or all white option on the website. Thanks, Kevin
When trying to watch a movie through Disney app on Apple TV, the sound is broken, intermittent…… all other apps play fine…. Netflix, prime….. it’s just the Disney app…. Advice please
Hi, I am running the Amp and Sub Mini with a pair of KEF Q150’s. Sounds really good but I’d like to try better speakers, namely better KEFS, LS50 Meta’s.Anyone running them please? I have searched and a couple of posts 5 years ago came up. Thanks.
How do I control my Sonos froma remote location? My Sonos is set up on WiFi
Hi,I’m new to this so I need some advice please. I currently my have a pair of jamo E800 speakers (wired) that are connected to my stereo amp but the cabling is a pain and unsightly and I’m thinking of replacing them with a pair of Era100s (using a line in adaptor) . My question is, will I notice a significant difference in sound quality ?
Sonos, where is your dedicated remote? I would definitely buy it!! Hate having to turn on my iPhone, launching the app and fiddling (frankly i would much rather use Apple Music and do if at all possible) I can use my Samsung app for my tv but never do. The dedicated physical remote is so much easier. Please make a physical remote for your speakers!!!
HiMy current system is listed below together the dates acquired. I am considering adding, for example, an ERA 100 or a Roam 2 and I'd like to understand if the new speakers would integrate with my existing configuration. Also, would I need to use the S2 app for the new speaker(s) and would the items below be compatible?Bridge 06/2012Connect 06/20123 x Play 1 02/2014Play bar 09/2014Sub (Gen 2) 10/2016ThanksBryan
Hi I have just brough a Roam 2 and really impressed. I would like to further enhance the sound . What would be the best way to go ? Either going for another Roam 2 unit or for a more powerful Move II . What would be the best combination ?
So I have a 3 speaker system in my restaurant, all Play 1s. The speaker nearest to the router is wired the other two are connected by SonosNet and are 5m and 10m away from the wired speaker with line of sight. All speakers mounted at ceiling height approximately 2.5m.The system works fine when it’s not so busy but in the evening the wireless speakers cut out once we get probably more than 15 people in the restaurant and I am left with only the wired speaker playing. I have tried so many things and it’s driving me insane. The router is a BT Smart Hub 2. What I have tried so far :Raising the router to ceiling heightDisabling the 5Ghz bandDisabling guest wifiTried all 3 modes on the routerFactory reset my speakers and reset the systemRebooted the routerDeleting and reinstalling the appSwapping speakers around It would be a pain to wire all the speakers but that will be my final thing to do if all else fails. Are my speakers outdated and would newer ones solve the problem or is it totally
I am looking at purchasing a 83-85” tv. I currently have a samsung QN85Q70TAFXZA 4k Smart (2023). I have had a lot of problems with it switching tv speakers randomly. I have eventually got it to work semi consistently. From what I can gather LG and sony tv’s tend to have the least issues when working with the sonos arc. I am wondering if there are any particular LG models or series that considered “problem free” when it comes to working with sonos arc?
Since 2011 I have been a loyal Sonos customerThen they upgraded and left me out in the coldMy Sonos products from 1211 are unreliable. They function and don’t function. Very frustrating.A 15% discount is not helpful since I spent over $1000 in Sonos’s equipmentThat now doesn’t work as it’s supposed towill not buy a Sonos product unless they give us a big big discount
I have the playbar, play on and play 3 speakers. When we originally bought the speakers I was able to download an app on my phone and was able to get the speakers working. I was able to control them from my phone. We eventually removed the app from my phone, but when I reinstalled it, I could no longer get the speakers to sinc. I believe that these speakers now require some sort of upgrade?? Our playbar is the only speaker connected now to the TV, I don’t want to lose that connection. What do I do to get everything working again.I dont really want to buy new speakers as I cannot afford them now
Which eligible upgrade items receive a 30% off upgrade credit? I checked all my items, and they receive a 15%, upgrade credit, despite some being from 2015. You would think that any item that can no longer receive updates would be a candidate. I realize that the blast email sent out said “up to a 30% upgrade credit”. Just wondering how old, or which items specifically, meet the criteria for the 30% upgrade credit. Thank you.
I currently use a Sonos Arc setup with two Sonos Subs in the same room, and the improvement in bass distribution is fantastic. However, in larger rooms or more acoustically challenging environments, the ability to add a third (or even fourth) Sub would be extremely valuable.I’d love to see Sonos expand the current limitation and allow more than two Subs in a single zone. This would open up new possibilities for advanced home theater setups and professional installations. Is this something Sonos is considering for future updates? I know many users with larger spaces would benefit from this flexibility.
I recently purchased the in line 3.5mm headphone to usb-c adaptor so could connect my headphones to the Apple 16 iPhone. However, it does not work. The sound just plays on the phone. Have I purchased the wrong adaptor
