Why is there no Android widget support? When will this be rectified?

I assumed I'd done something wrong or that there was some obscure issue with the Fold 7.

I'm astounded after coming here and reading multiple year old threads that widget support had disappeared, this is frankly unforgivable for a media streaming product.

You’re correct — the app currently does not support Android widgets, and there’s no official timeline for when it will return. Many users have reported this as a major issue. For now, the only option is to use the app directly or set up shortcut links on your home screen as a temporary workaround.

Excuse my ignorance, but why do you consider it so important? You’ve been a user since 2015. From your post, you admit it’s not been there for several years, yet you’ve only just discovered that it’s missing. To me, that implies it’s not a much-used or much-needed feature. What am I missing?
