I just bought a Sonos Arc and planning to get a sub. and two Sonos one Sls for surround sound system. Iam completely new to Sonos and will appreciate advice. I heard that I cant stream music from my Android phone to the Arc or the SLs..Is that true? Is there a way a round it? Iam not into Iphone and dont want to buy an iphone just to be able to use Sonos. I can purchase the Samsung Q990C this weekend at a good price and Iam wondering if I should go for that and just sell my new, unused Arc?
Hi all! I’ve had my Sonos playbar and Play 1’s since 2016. I’ve NEVER had problems out of them until recently. I’ve searched high and low for answers and have even been dismissed by customer service (on my first and, subsequently, last call to customer service. My IR sensor wasn’t reacting to my Apple remotes volume changes. Well, I’m happy to tell everyone, I’ve figured it out. In your Apple TV settings, go to:- Settings > Remotes and Devices > Volume Control > TV via IR Apparently, this changed in a recent Apple TV update and was reset to Auto. This is the fix that worked for me so give it a shot! I really hope the hassle of using the Sonos app for tv volume is no longer an issue for us. Have an amazing day, everyone!
I have installed a Beam (G2) and a mini sub as a surround system on my LG TV.I would like to extend the width of the front sound stage so I bought 2 Era 100s to use as Front Left and Right. I found that when setup as satellites with the Beam they will only operate as Rear channels. My room doesn't allow rear channels (physical restraints). Please allow the two Era 100s to operate as front Left and Right to broaden the Beam.
Is it possible to have a home theater setup with two Sonos SLs as the front channel speakers and then two in-ceiling speakers on an Amp as the rear channel speakers? The TV would connect to the Amp via HDMI. If this works, does the Amp need to be connected to Ethernet?
I am not pleased that the Beam does not offer a headphone jack. I bought a fantastic pair of headphones and plan to use them to listen to music and tv most of the time. Since the Beam doesn’t have a jack it will likely be replaced by a new more versatile soundbar or I singly will go back to mostly using my A/V receiver. Probably won’t bother with any other Sonos products in the future.
Hello,I've been using Sonos for some time around the house but recently decided I’d like to streamline the sound where my DJ setup is. I got 2x Era 300, Sub, and ran it through Port. The idea was that I could get rid of my amp, wires, and bulky speakers. I set it up and it sounds incredible. That is until I tried to mix and learned about the built-in latency. I called support and they recommended getting the line-in adapter and going in directly without Port. That made the situation even worse. The lag is a couple of seconds at least.I’m hoping someone out there has found a solution to the lag...I really don’t want to return all the gear and start again with something else!
Hi everyone,I've encountered a problem that i hope that you can help me with.My TV supports Atmos but after connecting an Apple TV 4k 3rd generation it wont work, in fact on the apple TV menu it doesnt show, theres supposed to be an "Immersive Sound" option. My Beam 2 Generation is connected through the ARC(Not eArc, but as far as i could see it shouldnt matter), apple TV into normal HDMI.My TV is a LG 65sj810v-za. I managed to toggle "Bypass" and i also tried passing both as "auto" and PCM, however nothing seems to work...Dolby Vision and 4k works on the apple tv, i can get it to play 5.1 aswell but as i said, the Apple TV wont recognize it as Atmos. My TV will play atmos when i stream through the tv and not ATV.Does anyone have any suggestions to how i can fix this?
Currently, I am using a Sonos Amp with 2x DIY speakers. I would like to expand this setup with 2x surround speakers. Therefore, is it possible to connect 2x Sonos One's speakers to the existing amp so that I can create a 4.0 surround setup? Thanks!
Hi - I have two Era300s, a spotify account and Philips Hue lights set up for a disco night. So I need the lights flashing/beating in order to have the disco party. I control the playlist through the spotify account which in turn links the sound to the sonos speakers and hue lights togetherProblem - I cannot crossfade the songs when using the spotify app on my android phone AND philips hue lights are synced. Does anyone know how crossfade works in this situation?(crossfade works fine if just using the sonos app & spotify, but bring Philips Hue into the equation, and the crossfade option is “faded out” on the spotify app under user settings)Its doing my head in because when a song finishes, the philips hue lights return to ‘normal’ for about 10 seconds and only start flashing/beating when the next song starts, so there is this ‘gap’ between songs. Crossfading would stop this as there isnt a natural end to one song, and start to another - it all gets mixed together. Hope someone c
So I recently picked up the Sonos Arc + Sub and a Samsung Q90T TV (which has HDMI 2.1/eArc) and I am experiencing the sound cutting out periodically. Some details: Only devices I can test with are an Xbox One S, Xbox One X and the built-in Samsung TV Apps Sonos, Xboxes and Saumsung are properly set to have Dolby Atmos I have experienced sound cutting out on both Atmos and 5.1 I have experienced sound cutting out from both the Xboxes as well as the built-in Samsung TV Apps (only tested the Netflix app) . . . so I know the Xboxes aren't the issue At times the sound cuts out very infrequently (minutes apart) and other times about every 10 to 20 seconds and there is no discernible pattern on what changes this. There is a sound setting on the TV showing ‘sound output’ that should should normally say ‘Receiver(HDMI-eARC)’ when you have the ‘HDMI eARC Mode’ set to ‘auto’ but sometimes shows ‘Receiver(HDMI)’ instead (as if it lost the eARC signal). The most st
Hi all, Any idea if I can connect a single ERA 300 directly to my TV or Cable box to use as a sound bar. I all ready have several SONOS speakers including a sound bar. I just like the idea of using the ERA as a stand aloan.
I took a look at previous conversations in the community pool and it’s been five years since someone suggested Sonos create easier access to the sub controls. In that time the app was updated to S2, and the Sonos sub mini was released. But no effort was made to make access to the controls easier, despite numerous Customers requesting it. It’s strange that even in night mode, the sub isn’t turned off. It’s obviously not appropriate to have loud noises at night especially when you live in an apartment. I don’t see why it takes four clicks to get to the controls just to turn off the sub, Which is something that I find myself having to do at least twice a day. There’s not even a feature to use voice controls to modify the sub. The request for this feature isn’t unreasonable, difficult, or crazy. What’s crazy is that After five years, it’s still an issue.
I use the ambient music app Endel, but can only play it on my phone or over Bluetooth to my guitar amp. Would be great if there was an integration available for this service.
Hi - new to Sonos (just got a Sonos One!).This is probably a basic question, but can’t figure it out. I set up the Sonos One very easily. I downloaded the Sonos app and added my Spotify account. So far, so good. However, I’d like to add my kids’ Spotify accounts to the Sonos One too. They have their own Spotify logins and their own devices. When I try to add another Spotify account on the Sonos app, it just tries to add my own (existing) account. I then get an error message saying that the account already exists.Anyone have any ideas what I’m doing wrong? I thought I may have to add the Sonos app to each of my kids accounts (logging in as myself on the Sonos app) - but is that necessary? Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone. We are a long time Sonos family that has slowly evolved over time with our home theatre. We started with a Playbar and have added a SW plus two Ones. We recently purchased the Arc and after a lot of research upgraded to the 300s. Here’s our observations:Our “theatre” is in our basement and has 8-9 foot ceilings with a 65” OLED that supports eARC. The room is a rectangular shape which puts limits on where we can place speakers. We have our 300s on stands behind out couch facing directly forward. They are about a meter behind our couch and 2.5 meters apart. We noticed a nice improvement each time we upgraded or added speakers. With the Arc and Ones we generally had good Atmos effects. This is likely due to the height of the ceiling plus our location from the Arc (7 feet back). With the Era 300s we have gone from good Atmos to very good Atmos effects. We can now clearly hear overhead sounds going in all directions including diagonal. It is not overwhelming or detract
Can I plug turntable and Cd player into external amp and then external amp into Sonos Port audio-in ?Thanks

So i have a set up like this:1) Sonos Arc2) Apple TV 4K (2nd gen)3) Benq HT3550 Projector is it possible to have eARC work? Problem 1:As of right now the main problem is that sonos arc connects to apple tv via wifi. This makes it “temporary” source and sometimes i start a movie and then go back to apple tv setting to change the source because once in a while it will switch back to the projector speakers Problem 2:Apple TV only has 1 hdmi port. Should i get one of those hdmi audio extractors and connect Sonos arc into it? Will it work? Will eARC work? Could you please link me to one that will work on Amazon? Do I need anything else for this to work?Note: I have this cable to connect Sonos Archttps://a.co/d/4iV1WqcI found this device and almost bought it, but then in the product images it says it won’t work with Sonos Archttps://a.co/d/688PCPRSonos Arc does come with HDMI to ESPDIF adapter and i read that a direct HDMI connection to eARC is preferred. Also just to mention, I would like t
One side of my surround pair of Sonos One SL lost connection. Tries to repair it without avail. Have since tried the following -1) hard reset the sonos one sl - the white lights continue to blink. I'm confident that the hard reset was done correctly as I have done it before for my sub and the other pair of Sonos one SL withiut any issue.2) Tried wiring the problematic One SL to my router. The white light continues to blink. Tried the hard reset method with the ethernet cables plugged in to but to no avail.May I know if my Sonos 1 SL is faulty?Have only bought it for slightly less than 3 years. Thanks for the advice in advance.
I have some very nice “traditional” loudspeakers that I don’t want to let go of at this point along with a matching subwoofer. (TV, 4KDVD, Satellite, Receiver, LR + Sub) These are being powered by a Denon receiver. Owing to roof pitches, stringing conventional speaker cable would be a real bugger for ceiling mount surrounds and I’m wondering if there’s some way to cast a Bluetooth signal from the Denon to some Sonos rear surrounds without stringing the speaker cables (read cutting sheet-rock to do it). Is there some means of putting a Bluetooth converter at the AV Processor that can be used with Sonos speakers for rear surrounds. I’m concerned about “timing” issues... Of course as soon as my Vandersteen’s blow up, we’ll be 100% in the Sonos camp (as we are at our place in Montana!) ;-)
Play 5 Surround Speakers Crackling
Hello, I am trying to decide between Era 100 and Era 300 to use with my ARC and sub (gen3) as surrounds. My wife agreed to the sonos rears as long as they are not visible. So my only option is to put them behind the sofa (which has about 8-12 inches of clearance to the wall). I am using Era 100 now behind the coach with the left and right speaker facing each other. The sound is as good as expected in this scenario. I still have the option to return the 100s and try the 300s, but i wanted to see if it is even worth the effort. I know the 300s have more side and top facing speakers with Atmos. I am worried they may be too big for my situation and may not offer any advantage over the 100s in this limited space. Anyone with a similar setup, or some advice? Thanks in advance.
Je viens d acquérir une move 2, elle se connecte à ma platine vinyle elipson en Bluetooth sauf que je n ai pas de son. Pouvez vous m aider ? Mon but était d écouter mes vinyles.......
