Hi, anyone else having this problem? Seems to be reoccurring and the answer has been to power cycle (done 2x) and system outage (there isn’t one). I have a new Sonos AMP purchased June 2024, when I change the volume limit (50% for instance) it resets to 100% after a few seconds (you can actually watch the slider just move back up). I typically stream from an iPhone using Spotify, so to test I am playing Sonos radio with no other devices. Same issue. In fact you can slide limit to 10% and it doesn’t change the volume output already coming out of the device that is higher than that level. Cycled the amp, same issue. This is important as the Amp blew out my last set of house speakers when my spouse accidentally connected her phone with the volume too high. I’d like this set to last a bit longer. All advice welcome!
Play:1 speaker won't group - is visible in Sonos2 app. It'll play as a solo speaker but when trying to group will get “unable to connect - try later” message
I bought an era 100 last week Alexa works quite correctly on it simply when I ask it to start the radio it tells me that it is starting the radio live and then nothing happens. Same, I ask her to put music on Spotify and she tells me that I must first activate the skill for Sonos Era 100 from my Alexa application and ask it to detect devices. except it works on my sonos beam gen 2 I reset my era 100 delete t put back the sonos delete skill and put back the alexa service but nothing does... what should I do? THANKS
Been watching all the back and forth since May, but my speakers still aren’t syncing as they used to do. Is a 10 second lag to be expected now, or is it on a long slide to be fixed sometime later this year?
I recently moved house and can add sonos single speakers but my beam doesn’t connect
My speaker flashes green & white but when I press the button it does nothing,
I have a fresh install of two era 100 in stereo mode and a sub mini. Everything worked fine during installation including all updates. But: most of the time there is no button/option to run trueplay (Android app). Sometimes it magically appears and if I start it, it says "an error occured - please try again".The only way I got trueplay to work was by uninstalling the sub mini.1. any hints, how to run it with sub mini?2. does it make sense to run it without sub mini and the add the sub again? Thx for any help,Alex
HiMy Sonos one is experiencing sudden volume drops/muffle when a loud part comes in a song. The app still shows 100% volume. Lowering and increasing volume to 100% again fixes the issue for a few seconds.Diagnostics number ***********Moderator edit: Diagnostics number recorded and removed
Hi, I work from home as a call centre agent and use my Sonos five stereopair every single day. Hi, I work from home as a call centre agent and use my Sonos five stereopair every single day. Up until the app update, I used to have it set at 3% which was perfect. Just enough noise in the background, but not too loud that it became distracting whilst taking calls. Since the update however, one percent is way louder than even 3% was before the update took place.I've tried other products in the house and they all seem fine, it is just this pair of fives. I've tried other products in the house and they all seem fine, it is just this pair of fives. We have another five in the dining room which is connected to a mixing desk through a line in cable, and a one SL in the kitchen which, at one percent, is way quieter than the stereo pair in the front room where I work. is way quieter than the stereo pair in the front room where I work. Any advice please?
HelloI have just purchased a Sub Mini and it will not connect to my pair of Play 1s. It says “There was a problem adding your sub mini”. I spent about an hour online chatting with a Sonos rep and we went through all the troubleshooting - rebooting/factory settings etc. I also have a large size sub in another room which has worked fine for over five years, so there is nothing wrong with my router! Why do they always look to blame the router? There is nothing wrong with all my other working Sonos connections either.Has anyone had similar problems? If so, how was it sorted out? If at all.
I have multiple problems with my garbage sonos system. Fixes are always temporary and I have gotten in a habit to always reset my android phone, wi fi, and unplug every sonos piece of garbage on my system before plugging them back AFTER the wi fi is back online. That does not always work on the first run. I own a garbage beam, garbage playbar, 2 garbage SLs, a garbage sub, and a garbage move 2. I have been using the latest garbage app since it was launched. Somebody please help with this sonos garbage.
I have two Play:5 gen1 in stereo pair in the kitchen.Very often the sound suddenly becomes louder or lower by it self.I have many Sonos products but the problem is only located in the kitchen.I have updated the software and tryed to reinstall but the problem isn’t solved.Any suggestions for me?

I read many topics about downgrading your speaker to S1 where they say: “chose option to downgrade the wired device” I don’t see this option in the app. Can someone answer me: is downgrading still possible, or has it be intentionally blocked out?
Hi all, Like many people I’ve been having a nightmare with the new app, but I didn’t find any threads on my specific problem. My setup is Sonos (Beam + various One SLs + a Roam) with Spotify and Apple (Apple TV on the Beam, plus using iPhone, mac etc). Since updating to the new app, the most basic use cases don’t work:I’ve always played music mostly from Spotify When I try to group rooms while music has playing, to put it on more speakers, it now breaks. It stops the music and kicks you around back and forth between the apps. It even pauses the music… eventually you hit play again in Spotify and the sound comes on everywhere Once set up, it also breaks when you try to do it in the Sonos app, so it’s impossible to do this from either app. You also can't skip tracks etc from within Sonos, if it’s started from Spotify (you used to be able to do this) The only thing that appears to work is to change volume within the Sonos app or remove speakers from the group I also used to be able to
My Sonos one worked perfectly until one night my internet cut out, it disappeared from the app and will not reconnect. I’ve factory reset it 5 different times. All my other Sonos devices connected okay and didn’t disappear from the app. I spoke to someone and said it’s something to do with the software update that came out for it, it still won’t connect to my app, has anyone else had this issue?
Why do my Sonos speakers come on randomly blasting out of the blue? I was on a conference call and needed to hang up to unplug the speakers behind the refrigerator. I know every app can select Sonos speaker and I cannot find anything on my end that caused this to happen and I don’t want it to happen again. We have no pets and no reason for any of this to have happened. Please help.
I’m trying to connect a Sonos One back to my system, but no luck. The speaker was connected fine in one room, but when I moved it to another room, the system didn't recognize it. I’ve tried a system reset (holding the infinity button while plugging in the speaker) numerous times, but when I get to the stage where it’s connecting to my network, I get a message that says, “Your Sonos has been added, but may not appear in your System. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from system settings.” That doesn’t work. I’ve tried this about 5 times. I’ve moved the speaker to a third room and no luck. I’ve reset my router without luck. I’m stumped. Note that all my other Sonos speakers (3 Sonos Ones, 1 Play:5, and 1 Beam) are connected without issue.
Seeking any suggestions as spent an hour with customer support trying to connect a pair of Play:1 speakers to Bridge. The issue was that the Play:1 speakers have S2 software and Bridge is S1. We tried unsuccessfully to downgrade the Play:1 speaker software to S1. I wondering if someone has another idea. Is it possible to eliminate the Bridge (which was being used to drive external speakers that we no longer use) and use the two speakers individually? Or must I purchase another device that uses S2 software to drive the two Play:1 speakers?
I have several rental properties and use Sonos in each. The voice recognition fails constantly and it 'seems' that remote systems are clobbering each other? Not sure if thats just renters not figuring things out. What's the best and simplest way to provide a good interface to the music systems in all these places using my own Apple and Amazon Music accounts, blindly of course. ? Thoughts? After the S2 controller release my entire system quit working. Many customer service call later I just decided to wait until the S1 downgrade was release. My system has been idle ever since, I downgraded most of my equipment yesterday (Play 3, Play 5, Playbase, Amp, and Move). What wouldn’t downgrade was my sub (gen 3) and my one SL. There’s no way the S2 app is getting anywhere near my system.Should I attempt to sell the sub and One SL? Or hold onto them for some magical S3 controller in the future that will make everything play nice? Also, all these ran together on the original controller, why won’t they now? Any ideas?
I set up a playbar, 2x One speakers and a Sub back in 2016, but since then have changed ISP and router so a new wifi network. I can get my playbar to connect, but everything else I can`t seem to even find. I tried to factory reset so I could do a full new setup, but still can`t seem to find anything except the playbar.
Hi, I own several Sonos products. Playbar + Sub, 3 x Play3 and 1 x Play1. Issues have occurred after I have changed router (attempting to migrate from old network to new)Some devices have moved over onto new wireless network without any issues, Playbar + Sub, 1 x Play3 and 1 x Play1 are working fine.2 x Play3 are not working correctly, They are both seen under the “Rooms” list with the correct names, but both say “needs update” and have a “spanner” icon next to them.If I click on the device (on iPhone App / Sonos S1) it tried to go through the update process on both devices but both fail giving error code 1013. I have tried all the suggested steps but I now appear to be stuck in the doom loop.Anyone experienced this or got a possible resolution? Many thanks :)
I gather Play 3s have power issues sometimes and I may have joined the club if anyone can help. My Play 3 stopped playing and the led went out. No noise, nothing, it just stopped. When I switched it off and on again I got the led to go white but then it went out and nothing else. Ive tried holding down the mute button when switching on and the same thing happens - a brief white light (not flashing) and then nothing. Can anyone explain what the issue is or whether the speaker is dead? I find it strange that I get a light for about 3 seconds though if the power has failed completely.
I’m hoping to get some help as I’ve exhausted my efforts in trying to resolve this. I bought a new Sonos Beam Gen2 in July 2024. I got it installed and setup but I cannot run TruePlay without getting an error. When i run trueplay tuning it gets to the part where it plays the tones and then says something went wrong. We were unable to custom tune etc.I have tried to run it on my iPhone 15 which is on the same 2.4 wifi network as the Beam.I have also factory reset the entire system.I’ve deleted the app and redownloaded it And checked system update in the app and on the Beam and both are current.Note: I’ve got Verizon 5G Home Internet if that matters.I know there have been a lot of issues with the new Sonos app. Perhaps that’s the culprit? I really don’t know. I’ve tried everything I can think of but am totally stuck at this point. Hoping someone can help me get this working.
