I have a Beam + Sub in my living room. I also have a Five that i dont use anymore. Has anyone connected this together with the beam and the sub to play stereo together with the sub?

@Persan

You  can’t „pair“ a home theater device like beam (that itself already plays stereo) with another speaker to get a stereo pair. You just can add the sub and a pair of surround speakers (both the same model).

Also a stereo pair only can be configured with two single speakers of the same model.

What you can do is just group the ht setup (Beam plus Sub) with the single Play5. But imo that just would make sense if the Play5 is away from Beam and you like to hear synced musik on different rooms.

Works good to Group them for a party or such but it often distorts the stereo image and makes the music seem much less live.

You could set the Five on top of the Beam and avoid that problem. You’d get louder and less damage to the imaging.

Thanks! I try to group them and see IF its works. Its only for party etc.

With music sources that will play in sync well. But in tv mode you will hear a delay / echo by default settings, because the Beam like all home theater devices on tv mode produces a delay of at least 75ms to grouped rooms. That’s to ensure that there is no delay for Beams room between video and audio.
But in Beams settings you can adjust the „tv dialogue synchronization“ to level 3 and that will eliminate the audio delay and the produced delay to video really isn’t remarkable.
