I have had two Sonos 5 speakers since August 2022. Worked fine with the app till about June this year. Then could not access. Returning after long trip abroad, I have reinstalled the app, can see profile and speaker details, but cannot yet make them work as speakers.Thinking of returning the speakers to the shop and asking for most of my money back.I know loads of other users have problems, but how are Sonos handling this crisis?Shall I return the speakers next week? They used to be great.Currently unusable!!
I use speakers for listening to music in a living room that is about 35x20 with 13ft ceiling. Currently have a 300 and am considering getting another for pairing. In the setup what is the distance between speakers and is there advantage to buying stands?
Playing music on someone else's sonos speaker
Overwhelming evidence - Spotify connect needs fix on Play 5: gen 1. I have 7 Sonos speakers all on the same network, only 1 is legacy. Only 1 has random dropout issues with Spotify. As others confirm, Tidal and other services work fine. And given my 6 other new gen speakers work fine:it can’t be local network it can’t be Spotify data rate, given Tidal HD and other similar services workResetting speaker, re-linking Spotify all useless!Truth is gen 1 products are no longer supported in reality else they’d have it fixed.
Hi there,I moved into a new house just over a year ago and have been having issues connecting my Sonos one to the home WiFi. I have a Sonos beam that connected without any issues, however anytime I try to connect the Sonos one to the WiFi, it says it can’t find the network. I have deleted all products and tried to reinstall the Sonos one before the beam, however it won’t work. I contacted Sonos and they said it’s a problem with the network, but anytime I load anything new into the network, outside of Sonos, there isn’t any issues. I’m hoping to get one more speaker for the downstairs but might call it quits if it won’t accept anymore. Anyone got a clue or help on this one?
I can group two Sonos 3 together but when I add a Sonia move or Sonos 5, the app says they are grouped and it is playing but nothing is playing on the 5 or move.
Two sonos SL Ones, one sub gen 3 and an arc was bought in the UAE. I told them that I will be taking the components to Iran and the sales team practically encouraged me to go for it.Now it appears that without a VPN on, I can't get the diabolical Sonos app to open and of course, now I know that with a VPN on, the app itself will upload but that's about it: it's impossible to add any components. After spending almost 4 hours with tech support they casually told me that they don't support Iran. That makes Sonos a bunch of crooks in my book. You can't be telling your sales teams in the UAE to flog off your useless systems to unsuspecting customers bound for Iran and then tell the same customers that the products are not supported there. I expect Sonos to either provide me with a full refund or to come up with a solution to fix this issue. This is NOT acceptable.
I cannot find my sonos playbar after changing to a new wifi router and new password. What am i going to do? Do i need to re-set up again?
So I have an entirely wireless room setup, consisting of five Sonos speakers. I have a Sonos 5 hardwired to my router and four speakers all connected wirelessly to the same room. I want/need to change one of these speakers to a wired connection, as I’m moving it outside to a new location too far out of reach of my wifi, hence the need for one speaker to be a wired connection. So I’ve moved on of the speakers outside and hardwired it to my router via a (very) long ethernet cable. When I try and run my Sonos system and the ‘room’ it initially pics up this speaker and appears to treat it normally within the five speakers in the room for a few minutes. After that, all other speakers in the room other than this one become unavailable and music only plays through the one newly wired speaker. If I remove the new wired speaker, the other four speakers come back online and available again in the room in the Sonos app. It’s either one or the other, whereas I need all five speakers to play.Any he
Hi,I haven’t used the stereo pair of two Play:5s in my office for a few months.. and when I tried to use it the other day, one of them was “dead” and did not show up in the system.. after a lot of resetting I have it back in the system, but it is in a separate “room”.I have the Play:5 and the Sub-Mini in “Office” and they work fine, and then I have a separate “Office” with the Play:5 in it.. so I can’t stereo pair them. There seems to be no way of moving the second speaker into the same room, or remove it from its current room, etc.. merge rooms, or anything else.I have current iOS and Android phones.. the Android version of the app seems to be working a little bit better.Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Haven’t used the Sonos app since may. Just tried to redo everything on my app and still doesn’t work well. Thanks for the garbage. I will be returning to Costco
bonjourest-ce que quelqu’un sait s’il est possible de brancher un sonos port sur mon vidéoprojecteur via hdmiafin d’obtenir le son de mes enceintes ( play 5 gen2 + sonos one ) quand je regarde un film?( pas de barre de son ) Moderator Edit: Google Translate- Good morningdoes anyone know if it is possible to connect a sonos port to my video projector via hdmiin order to get the sound from my speakers (play 5 gen2 + sonos one) when I watch a movie?(no soundbar)
Backyard setup: eARC-capable TV (2024 model), Sonos Arc, Sonos Amp connected to 4 Sonance speakers (two pairs wired in parallel per spec). Everything ethernet-wired. Plan(ned) to use Smart TV apps for all content. No other streaming boxes.Wanted an “all-channel” option for watching sports, i.e., all 5 speakers (4 Sonance + 1 Arc) outputting the same content. Best I could achieve was to connect TV eARC to Sonos Arc, and wirelessly connect Arc to Amp via the Sonos app. However, this config relegates the Amp to Surrounds only, not full-channel audio. This config doesn’t sound very good, especially with 4 speakers in parallel. And the rear-most speakers are 20 feet from the soundbar (the closer speakers are about 10 feet from the soundbar).Could not figure a way around this, so I grabbed an AppleTV 4K and connected it to a regular HDMI input on the TV (HDMI1), leaving the TV’s eARC HDMI4 port still connected to the Sonos Arc. I confirmed that if I select the regular HDMI1 input on the TV,
Two Sonos OneSL speakers. Connected to wifi using the Sonos2 app. I can play music from AirPlay but I don't see these speakers in the app, and I can't connect them to Beam. I've reset them to factory settings, reset the app and the router. Nothing helps. What do I do to make them visible in the app?
Hello all, I Know this has been asked in different contexts but I kind of need a more specific answer.I currently have the ARC, Sub (Gen 3 ) and 2 Play1s. in my great room Ceiling height is not an issue about 30ft High. I am looking to upgrade to Era 300s for my rears but I have no way of mounting them behind the couch much less at head height. I also can't put them on stands learned that the hard way with my Play 1s due to my toddler son. Ideally I would like to mount them slightly behind my couch on both side walls angled downward to the couch. My 2 questions are How High can I actually mount these on the side walls Id like to go about 6-8 Feet up. and secondly will mounts give me enough angle for the speaker to be somewhat facing the TV? I know it's not 100% Ideal but its a large room with high ceilings and would like more room filling sound for music and TV. thank you all in advanceAJD
Hi, I have a pair of 3s and a bridge, my original purchase from end of 2011. They still work well, I have them cabled in. It seems to be harder now to get music out of them with the v1 app . No Amazon, no other options, just Apple and that's now seeking reauthoisation. Not game to upgrade, v2 gave me a problems back whenever, luckily I had the v1 install file. V3 sounds like it might lose my 3s. Is it over? Do I need to shop elsewhere?
After the update our Play 3 continues to work with both radio and music streaming but our connect does not work with either. The Connect links our amp to 2 non Sonos speakers. Any suggestions on how to re-connect the non-connecting Connect?
Hello, I have a problem with a SONOS ONE SL speaker, it has been working very well for 2 years. This morning, I played music on it without any problem. This evening, I noticed that it is off. I change the socket 3 times, it no longer turns on. What is the solution? Chat support is very bad and the phone never answers!Thank you for helping me.
I'm attempting to add two Play 3's to my existing system that currently has two Play 1's. When adding the speaker through the app, it finds the Play 3's, and says it needs to create a temporary network to add the components. After joining the temporary network, both speakers fail to play the 'chime' or don't reflect the designated button is being pushed as an alternate connecting mode. I’m currently using S2 with mobile internet (TMobile) without issues in the current system. Suggestions? Or what further information is needed to help trouble-shoot?
I have a Beam + Sub in my living room. I also have a Five that i dont use anymore. Has anyone connected this together with the beam and the sub to play stereo together with the sub?

I’m using a Play:5 (Gen 2) + three Play:1 small speakers in our cafe. Our Wifi system was updated to a DreamCatcher and now Sonos speakers won’t connect. I’ve been told Factory Reset. Is this the correct option?
We have 3 play ones and roam. One keeps cutting out. And one that is in the kitchen will not connect
Hi everyone,I’m using two Sonos Era 100 speakers connected to my Pioneer Opus Quad mixer via a USB-C to jack cable. Unfortunately, I’m experiencing an audio delay of around 75 milliseconds when compared to the sound in my headphones, which I use for pre-cueing.This latency is affecting my ability to mix tracks in real-time, as the speakers’ output is delayed compared to what I hear through the headphones. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Is there any way to adjust the delay in the Sonos system, or should I consider using external devices to synchronize the audio?Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
May I connect my Sonos One and/or Playbar to a Samsung Freestyle projector via bluetooth?
