Since the terrible app update, my Sonos One speakers constantly fail to play music, regardless of the service I’m using. The app shows that the music is playing but no sound comes out of the speakers, regardless of volume settings etc. the only fix has been to reboot the speakers, every time this happens, which, at this point is daily.

The speakers are running the latest firmware and there have been no changes to the wireless network

Has anyone experienced similar behavior and know of a permanent fix?

I have experienced the same thing. It took a while, but my issue got raised to Level 3 Engineers. I spent hours on the phone with them and we are up to 54 emails back and forth for problem solving. The engineers have not been able to resolve this problem for me.

Thanks for the response, that was exactly what I was afraid of. This has to be firmware related IMO, everything had been working fine until the app change and related updates. Too bad too because there used to be a lot to like about the Sonos systems. Are you still using your system or have you moved on to something new?

It might be worth allocating ip addresses?

Start by powering down the router as well as the speakers. Then restart router, wait till it’s fully restarted with wifi running. Then start the speakers. You’ll need to refer to your router manual to see how to allocate ip addresses, or tell us what you’ve got and someone may be able to guide you through it.
