The Sonos app “upgrade” was truly bad, but I had hoped it would be getting better. The last couple of weeks is had gotten much worse. It keeps skipping songs, it cuts in and out and volume controls are basically non-existent. You can try and change it on the app, but nothing happens for minutes on end, and when it does, it is wrong. In summary, the Sonos app is pretty much the much frustrating app I have ever dealt with. If it wasn’t because I have invested north of $30K in Sonos products, I would have permanently deleted the app. I saw the letter from the CEO who somehow allowed this to happen. Supposedly it is getting better. It is not what I am seeing. Quite the contrary. I am at a point where I truly HATE Sonos with all my heart!
Ive recently moved to college with a Sonos Play 1 speaker. It uses Eduroam so I don't think I can use that wifi channel, but it has a specific IoT wifi router for devices such as Alexa. Could I use this wifi channel, even though I have to have a specific wifi username and password that I obviously cannot put into my speaker as it has no buttons to do so. Any attempt at using the Sonos S1 app has marked it as incompatible.thank you\
I have a sonos arc and other sonos speakers.Sonos arc speaker is the only one that cannot connect to my system.I have a starlink connection and i have try it to other isp connection and its working sonos arcbut to starlink connection it doesn't work.Any suggestions?
Hi, I bought 2 Era 100 a couple of months ago, and they have been cutting in and out often when in a stero pair. The primary speaker is always good, but the secondary cuts in and out frequently. Please help! They’re connected to a 5GHZ WIFI.
I have factory Reset all my Sonos Equipment. Recently was gifted a system from a friend who did not know how to reset everything. I have connected the Sub to the system, but the system will not recognize the Soundbar, play:1 x2 or play:5 even if I connect them with Ethernet cable
So we have this 4 speaker setup that was working just fine and all of a sudden it stopped working. Not knowing why I just proceeded to reset everything but for every speaker the result was the same setting it up over WiFi.I can see the speaker and it also connects to the WiFi (takes long thought) and then it says it’s all done but might not show up in the list. If it doesn’t I’m supposed to unplug it and plug it back in. That is exactly what happens so when I don’t see it in my list I proceed to unplug it. Then I try to add the speaker again but this time it’s not in a reset mode. It finds the speaker just fine and tries to connect and fails. Every speaker does this and this happens every time. What is going on here? The speakers in question are 3x Play:1 and one play:5 When I connect it on ethernet i can actually set it up and even gives me the option to select the location for it. But then it’s on ethernet and as soon as I unplug it it doesn’t work anymore. So in the settings I try to
How about refunding purchase price of equipment that no longer works?
I am having problems with my Sonos one speakers having a delay from the sound coming from the soundbar.
I know there has been some problems - to put it mildly - but in October 2024 is anyone else STILL getting regular drop out when playing music? I get regular moments of silence in the middle of songs and it’s REALLY frustrating that it hasn’t been sorted yet. Ive got Sonos Ones (x6) - don’t think it matters but some are One SLs I’m on app version 80.09.08 Software is on automatic updates and all speakers are up to date. Any help would be appreciated.
This issue had been going on for several years now, and happens in two different houses with different network systems (although the networks have the same name and password for convenience). Both systems are made of several play 1s and several One SL, one also has an old playbase grouped with two play 1s. Some units are in pairs, some are standalone. In each house the system has at least one speaker connected via Ethernet, I kept wifi activated on the speakers. Both wifi are mesh systems with several repeaters (google mesh in one, different brand in the other).Whenever I try to adjust the volume or change songs with the Sonos app (android or iOS, latest version at the time of writing), it works instantly when controlling One SLs but takes 10+ seconds to react with the Play 1s, making them unusable. The same issue happens when they're directly playing from the Spotify app. If I use voice command via a Google home unit, the Play 1s react immediately, which tells me there's nothing wrong
So with the new app, i lost my whole system. I managed to add everything again except for the Sub. The app recognizes it on the network but crashes after 2 seconds when trying to add it, already factory resetted it. What to do?
I have had Sonos for a decade. 4 amps, a sub, multiple Play:1’s, Play 3, It went from one of my favorite products … so intuitive, so easy. After all the upgrades, the app is impossible to use, the speakers for my tv work for 10 seconds then stop working for 3 seconds. If I didn’t have so much invested in the system, I’d throw it out. DO NOT BUY ANY SONOS PRODUCT UNTIL IT IS FIXED.
Hey. Is there a way to remote turn on/off the lamp in IKEA Symfonisk? Or do I have to do it using the button on the lamp/loudspeaker?
Hi, last night I disconnected my Symfonisk speaker and now it doesn’t recognise any Ethernet cables. any suggestions on how to move forward? thanks
I've just had to add my Sonos one back to my system as I changed the WiFi password. It's listed as being on my system but it now has the microphone disabled and pressing the mic button doesn't enable it. I had to carry out. Factory reset to get it to connect if that helps. How do I enable microphone again please?
I have spent almost 11 hours on various telephone calls with Sonos tech support trying to get my Sonos One speakers working. Technicians have told me that I must label my 5G and 2.4 with different names. Spectrum tells me their routers cannot do this. Are there cures for this problem?
HelloI’ve just unpacked a new era 300 and want to hook a CD player up to it but having some issues. Currently the 300 is on the network ok and is working via the Sonos app, when I attach a 3rd party usb-c to audio connector and hook that up to my cd player (via headphone out port, no other output port available) I don’t get any output at all, the line out settings in the Sonos app are also unavailable. What could be going wrong? Is it that I’m using a 3rd party adapter and only the official Sonos one will work? Or something else? Thanks.
I moved home and now have a new wifi network. Have tried to set up 2 x Play 1’s on the network but nothing happens. Even when Play 1 is connected via ethernet it is still undiscoverable during the set up new network process.Factory reset process also just ends in a solid orange light. Can not get to green light at all, again ethernet cable plugged in.
Hi, I’m facing an issue when moving a speaker to another room: this speaker is not visible in the new app (version: 80.09.04), but only I can see an error message: X room is not connected (X is the original room).I did the factory reset several times on this speaker, I deleted the old Sonos network created a new one, and rebooted the router many times without any success. The app cannot connect the speaker: it's always been lost in the adding to the wifi network stage.I have an Asus mesh wifi with a main and an AP router: the old room is served by the AP router the new room is for the main router. The speaker is working well when is in the old room. According to the router’s status information: if the speaker is connected to the AP router everything is fine, if the speaker is connected to the main router with the same IP address (only 1 DHCP server is available at home), the speaker cannot be visible in the new app.How can I change the speaker's AP router assignment in the new app? Or
Dear all,my Sonos speakers (Sonos Play:5 Gen 1, several Sonos Play:1, Sonon One, Sub, Roam) forget their queue content after power outage. I guess this is currently by design and I have to admit that doesn’t happen often but I have connected my speakers to my home automation (swtch light on > start playing / switch off > pause) and every time when my speakers get disconnected from power (e.g. due to power outage) and restoring power, they boot up with an empty queue and I have to add a radio station again manually to all speakers. It would be nice, if the speakers could keep the last played play list with track and position, radio station or whatelse. I’m not a programmer, but speaker settings also remain after power outage, so in general it should be possible to keep some information beyond power outage. Maybe this should just be considered as feature request.PS: I thought about a workaround via my home automation but it’s difficult for to keep track of the queue information an
I can't reset my Sonos One
Been boxed up for years took it out reset it several times plugged in either net etc. won’t connect
Bonjour mon éclairante enceinte sonos n'émet plus le son "mot de passe" a la connexion du coup impossible de la reconnaître, solution? Merci Moderator Edit: Google Translate- Hello, my sonos illuminating speaker no longer emits the "password" sound when connecting, so it's impossible to recognize it, solution? Thanks
I have a handful of older play3s and play1s that I wasn’t using, so I decided to give them to a friend. To get them ready, I tried to connect them to my system so I could update them, then factory reset them for my friend. Adding the speakers to my system was a nightmare. When the app told me to listen for chimes after connecting my phone to the speaker’s temp wifi, none of the speakers played the tones(are they too old to download the mp3?). I got around this by temporarily wiring in the speakers (though the app still failed to see them when prompted to press buttons on the speakers) when I removed the cable part-way through the setup, they finally added. I updated the speakers to my system and verified they worked by playing some music. Then I factory reset them and took them to my friend’s house. There I ran into the same issue with the speakers not playing chimes during setup of a new household. The problem was my friend’s router doesn’t have ethernet (most don’t these days). Is it
