good evening, I have a question. I bought two Sonos ERA 100, I wanted to connect them to my hi-fi system. if I bought the original line in adapter and I connect it to the system, do both speakers work or just the one connected with the cable? does the speaker not connected via cable communicate with the other one that I connected with the adapter? thanks

If you have them set up as a stereo pair, the adaptor can plug into either speaker and they’ll still play stereo (assuming a stereo source!). If they are separate rooms, you can use the group feature to play to both rooms/speakers. And in the Sonos environment it’s an available source so it can be the input to room2 even if it’s physically connected to room1.

Good morning, thanks for the reply.

Yes, the speakers were connected in a stereo pair. So I only need one adapter, obviously my hi-fi amplifier must have a jack output where I can connect the cable, or in the Sonos line-in adapter can I also connect a cable that goes from male jack and ends in female RCA?

Basically it would be like this: on the ERA100 speaker I connect the line-in that ends in female jack - from there I connect the male jack that ends in Male RCA so as to connect it to my amplifier.

Thanks
