Is there anyway to get email notification from Sonos when they have availability of refurbished items, in my case in after 2 Era 300 white?
Hi,I recently upgraded my Internet to Starlink with a Gen 2 Router. As a result, I lost SONOS connectivity. To restore SONOS connectivity, I put the Gen 2 Router into Bypass mode and reinstalled my old Billion Router. Whilst SONOS connectivity was restored, I don’t have the WIFI Range or WIFI speed that the Gen 2 Router provided. So, I’m now looking to upgrade my Gen 2 Router to either a new Gen 3 Router or a 3rd Party Mesh Router. My question is:Does anyone have direct experience connecting SONOS devices using the new Starlink Gen 3 Router? If I can be assured of this then I’ll go SONOS Gen 3, if not then I’ll have to look for a 3rd solution. I just don’t want to spend the money on a solution that may not work.CheersDanny
Last night I tried for over 2 hours to connect my older play 5 and Play 1’s to my system. I tried the factory reset at least a half dozen times. Plugged them into the Ethernet. Changed the network over a dozen times and absolutely will not connect to my app. I read the older models will not handle the recent updates. And I e read dozens of complaints about this is varios sites and blogs. So does that mean the older models are obsolete? I paid a lot of money for these speakers way back when and this is total nonsense if that’s true. Offering a 15-30% discount to trade them in is also ridiculous. These speakers should connect and last a life time. Sonos is FORCING us to by new speakers. I call this a scam and suggest it may be time to file a class action suit against the company.
I try to connect Sonos Play:1 with my router FritzBox 7590. It doesn’t work, although I updated the OS as well as reset the settings of my Sonos. What else can I do?
Hi,I m going to buy Era 100 for my escape game in France I would like to know how i Can had a microphone push to talk to my pc to talk to the team through the speaker It will be usefull for me to talk to them if they are doing something wrong Thanks all !
Hi i used trueplay. But the speaker has way too much treble. If i turn loudness off in the EQ settings the speakers sounds very flat. With loudness on the trebles so high that i get headaches. But i cant find a setting between to harsh and enjoyable. If i set treble to -10 it sounds as if the speaker is behind a cussion, but if i turn it up a bit its to harsh. If i turn loudness off its ok but then like i said the sound's very flat. I never expierienced this with my echo studio or echo show. The speaker seems also very loud even just on 20% volume. Thanks for your help. 😄
I followed the reset and set up steps but ended up with a Red and White flashing. I can identify the device on the Sonos App but I am unable to connect it the devices’s temporary network. I have 3 other Sonos Play 1, they work fine. I only have issues with this particular device. Not sure what’s wrong.
Hello,I just did a factory reset on my Beam, it has been working good for more than a year, but after the factory reset i suddenly have huge problems.Install via Wifi doesn’t work, it won’t accept my wifi password, and yes i use 2,4GHz, i always split my networks (2,4 and 5GHz separate). I also tried on another router now, my old one, and not accepting my password, but with exactly the same password i can connect with other devices, so it really is a SONOS ISSUE.Then i try with ethernet cable,it goes trough setup, but ends with “cant connect to WIFI with “” “ so an empty network.. but i tried everything for last 3 hours.. using other networks during setup, start over with cable and without, performed another factory reset.. seriously, i have installed many Sonos products in the past, i have had 2 beams (gen1 and gen2) i have had 4 sonos one a roam etc Something is going on with the setup, some bug in the mobile app? I use latest android app (it’s up to date). any help would be appreci

After 2 hrs on phone with cust serv, SONOS 5 was finally back to working, 4 mos after app update. Due to hurricanes, had some power outage and no time to listen to music. For reasons that don’t matter, I have 2 wifi connections, “A” and “B”. B is what everything is connected to but occasionally, devices will jump to A. Before trying to play SONOS today, I ensured phone app, laptop (music library) were both on B. But app couldn’t find my device. I tried unplugging and replugging as per directions. When I change phone app to wifi A, the device is discoverable but I can’t access laptop/music library. I also cannot force the app to point to WiFi B. There must be some way to do that but the only option it gives me is to delete WiFi B. Not what I want. How do I get the Sonos 5 to point at / prefer wifi B?
Why is Sonos the worst utility on my phone? It’s impossible to problem solve in the app. Nothing works.
I reset the Sonos One from the instructions; but it doesn’t recognize the wireless router and thus won’t connect to my Spotify account. It won’t connect to NPR radio station either.
Sonos - why not release an upgrade that opens apple AirPlay on all speakers. This would allow people to play music and never need to use your truly awful app experience ever again.
My Sonos Sub 3/4 will not turn on. I've tried to reset by holding join button then plugging in to power but the light is off. Is the speaker dead?
The title of the post says it all, ladies and gentlemen.
I am about to move to a new house soon which will involve resetting my current system (as above title) and planning a media wall etc .. though this is exciting for me I have never really been a tech guy to sort best optimised usage for what I have, I would really like to know if the speakers I have would all work together maybe as a 5.1.. is this possible? Also would be very grateful for any room setup tips.. the new room to be has an unused standard fireplace/ chimney that protrudes forward with 2 alcoves either side.. and the room is about 12ft square....
I have to re-add all of my speakers to my system each time I want to use them, and most of the time, they don’t show up and won’t connect. I have spent hours on the phone with support over multiple calls, and no one has a resolution. This system is a waste of money, especially since the sound quality doesn’t come close to other systems.
Cannot update Sonos, Error Code 1: Sub.This is with the S2 Sonos app. I have 2 rooms with Sonos equipment in them.In my main room, I have 1 no. Sonos TV Soundbar, 2 no. Sonos Play 1s & a Sub.In my other room, I have 1 no. Sonos 1 paired with a Sonos 1 SL & a Sub.When first clicking on ‘Check for software updates’ on the ‘Manage’ tab, when the update gets to ‘finishing,’ I am told I have an update problem.’There was a problem during the update of your Sonos system.’’Select ‘Try again’ to repeat the update.’I can try this for time immemorial, but it still does not finish updating. When I click on ‘More information,’ I get ‘Error code 1: Sub.’ If I click on the ‘For more information, see’ link, I get a range of updated ideas to try. What I have tried:Retry the update. That does not work. Reboot your router. That did not work. What I haven’t tried:Reboot your Sonos products. Although I haven’t tried this yet, the initial ‘Error code 1: Sub,’ does that mean I should unplug the Subs fir
I have two Sono One speakers on wifi. Unpaired, both play fine, both individually and together. When I try to make a Stereo Pair out of them, the second one added has no sound. If I create the pair using the L speaker, the R doesn’t have sound. If I create the pair using the R speaker, the L doesn’t have sound.I have tried power cycling them and plugging them into ethernet. Nothing has worked. Software is up to date. I’d like to avoid a factory reset as I’ve wasted enough time on these already.
Have correct app on latest version as are all my Sonos products. I have a Sonos one in the bedroom where the status light is turned off so not to disturb us while sleeping. However it keeps turning back on and even though I deselect it again in the app, once again it comes back on, very annoying. Any pointers to help 🤔 Thanks
My Sonos one SL stopped working from one day to the other. I’ve tried different power cables, factory reset and anything else I could find online to no avail. The unit is just over two years old so there’s no more warranty. I have another nine Sonos One installed, but if this keeps happening, I’m very tempted to sell the whole bunch and switch to an alternative. I’ve noticed similar threads were closed without a solution. I’ve noticed similar threats were closed without a solution which I find a bit concerning. Please advise.
Hello, the sound quality from my Era100s is terrbile when the audio is coming from the TV. It has always been like this. Difficult to describe, but it sounds very quiet and very, very rough. When playing from the Sonos app they sound like they are supposed to (loud, crisp and clear). My setup:TV LG OLED48C14LBSKY StreamBeam (Gen2)Sub MiniEra100 x2HDMI 2.0 cables The TV is connected to the Beam via the HDMI2 ARC port, and SKY Stream via HDMI1. The Beam is connected to the router via ethernet. The Sub mini and Eras are wireless. The TV “Sound Out” is set to “HDMI(ARC) Device” and “DTV Audio Setting” is “Dolby Digital Plus”. Is my setup at fault, or can anyone give me advice? It does strike me as odd that there is a fault somewhere with hardware or software. Could it be that the HDMI2.0 cables have to be HDMI2.1, as the only material difference between the audio coming from the Beam itself or the TV is the TV itself and the cable(s). Thanks for any advice.
Greetings:I am having massive problems with my Sonos system (Arc, Sub 3, two One SLs as surrounds). One symptom is that I can’t get sound from my 4k blu-ray player, although the picture is fine. I have spent literally days trying to figure it out, but I guess it’s too complicated to deal with here. I have a 65” LG G3, an Apple TV 4K with ethernet and 256gb, and an Oppo 4k player. But one simple thing is happening, maybe this will be a clue. When I play a Tidal playlist, using the Apple TV Tidal app, whenever I hit a Tidal song that features Dolby Atmos, I get a big red warning about how my device does not support Atmos, and that the song will be covered to stereo. I’d be fine with that, except the resulting sound is very low and muffled. I also tried turning off the Arc and seeing if the ‘stereo’ sound would be going to the surround. It doesn’t. When I try the same playlist using Apple Music, it plays fine, although I’m not sure if it is playing Dolby Atmos or not. What could be causin
I have a Verizon router CR200A and after switching and I can't figure out why it won't communicate with the router. I have plugged it in directly and the app sees the device amd attempts to set it up and fails on the password handshake. I need to sell my system for rent in 6 days and my buyer is requesting proof the speakers work and I really need help badly.
Cannot set up sub gen 3. Has orange light on
