Equipment: 1 Boost  12 Sonos One Speakers Formerly 1 Google wifi puck, now replaced with 3 Eero 6+ pucks (same problem though) Approximately 2,000 sqft mostly open space.  For years I have struggled with Spotify issues (unreliable, speakers and volume dropping out, “can’t connect to Spotify” messages,  skipping tracks etc).  However, Pandora works 90% more reliably.  Sonos tech help solution was to connect one or more speakers to wifi pucks (not from modem, just ethernet wire from puck to speaker).  I purchased the Eero 6+ mesh system due to each puck having it’s own Ethernet port.  However, I have since learned Eero says NOT to connect the sonos speakers to pucks as it will degrade performance.  Questions:Is it unique to Eero products that I “shouldn’t” wire directly to speakers?  Is there a brand/model that is recommended?   Currently all of my 13 sonos products are connecting to the puck that is hardwired to my boost and modem, therefore making my other 2 pucks virtually obsolete. 

Hi, hoping someone might be able to help. My Playbar has been fine until we turned off the power in the house yesterday. Now it won’t connect and we only have the white light for a few seconds when turning on.  I’ve tried all the usual factory resets, “find my product”, etc. this evening I’ve plugged it into the router with an Ethernet cable and tried it all again but it’s the same. The Ethernet is flashing orange so wondered if maybe it’s updating and I should leave it overnight? I am running S2.

I’ve met “error code 1” during updating software on my Synfonisk bookshelf speaker.Does anyone know what this is? I searched the sonos web site but couldn't find the answer. I tried the update several times, including factory reset, conecting with ethernet cable and updating it from different newtork (with different internet connection), but never method works well.Is there any method should be tried?  I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to proceed.  

hello  I have a Play 5 Gen 2 and want to pair a synphonisk bookshelf with it.when I powered on registered it ok with the app but it locked onto the 2 g wirelss netwrok in the house not the 5 that the other sonos product is on . Now I cannot register the symph not can I change its netwrok Can someone offer any help I have to say this is why I will never buy a sonos sound bar - my senhieser ambeo you turn on the Tv it works. no updates no internet rubbish , no difficulty thanks

HiI just got a Sonos Five and although streaming works well, I have been having a difficult time with its line in. The sound is DISTORTED (static). I have tried connecting the following:CD player using an RCA to 3.5 jack (two kinds already) DVD player using an RCA to 3.5 jack (the same two cable) CD player via headphone jack to 3.5 line in Macbook (3.5 to 3.5) Ipad (3.5 to 3.5) I have been with Sonos’ customer chat at least five times doing so many things with them (reset the unit, my router, changed wifi channels etc). COULD IT BE that the unit’s line in port is defective??!!

Hello! I would appreciate so much your knowledge and support about this issue. I use to have my sonos one wired to my ISP router and I was using S2 app with it with no problems. I recently purchased a new wifi router (Tp-link AX20) to use its WI-FI connection. This TP-link router is conected to the ISP router to get internet and now I use the new wifi network  (2.4Ghz) to connect to it. (5Ghz wifi is disconnected). The problem is that now the app won't detect my Sonos one wired to the main router. I run a test connecting the Sonos one wired to the TP-LINK router and it worked so I guess there must be a parameter in the TP-LINK that im missing?-I have the TP-Link with auto channel and same WIFI SSID, even copying the MAC address of the ISP router.I have attached my config. Thank you for your support. 

If I go to You Tube in the apps on my television using the tv remote to navigate to it, the soundbar plays at a default volume level and the tv level slider does not affect the volume of the soundbar. The music level slider alters the volume of the surrounds but the volume of the playbar remains the same. This would suggest something is wrong given that the volume of the playbar will not change. It is an LG television. I am not sure if there is a setting for volume in the television that needs to be adjusted. 

Hello, I have a SONOS Arc SL with surrounds connected to a Samsung TV via eARC HDMI. When I want to hear music in other rooms on my remote One SL’s it is typically easy to hit their individual ‘group’ buttons to sync the remotes with the Arc SL. (And of course, if the source of the audio is on my phone it is easy to group the speakers via the app.) However, I want to add more One SL’s and place them about 10’ up on a recessed shelf - in this case I will not be able to sync them manually using the ‘group’ button on the individual speakers. Is there as way to group these unreachable remote speakers using the app on my iPhone to sync with the Arc SL even when my iPhone is not the source of the audio? Thanks so much!Abqishome

I have two units (Sonos One SL) but I cannot pair them for stereo.The models are:S/N: 38-42-0B-16-CD-32:G OS:S2 version 14.19.1S/N:  54-2A-1B-C4-6E-CE:c OS: S2 version 14.19.1I can only chose one speaker at the time. The speakers have a few years in difference.

Looking to add a subwoofer to my existing Sonos sound system of 3 Play:1 speakers. The Sub Mini listing states it pairs with One speakers, but what about the older Play:1s? (Just for music, not TV.) Thanks,

My Sonos devices no longer connect at all and aren’t visible on the app despite being on the network etc. any ideas? 

I’m having trouble grouping my speakers with another speaker in another room (can’t group all speakers together) can anyone help. Very frustrating 😫

I just wanted to check if there was any positioning recommendations for these speakers. The manual recommends 8-10 feet apart, with a listening position 8-10 feet away. The manual also says - The SYMFONISK is designed to work well even when placed next to a wall or other surface. I have bought the IKEA adjustable wall brackets and was thinking of installing them above a double sliding door with the speakers horizontally mounted (8-10 feet apart) 2 feet from the ceiling, pointing down to my listening position which is 8-10 feet away. The left speaker would be close to the left hand wall (6-8 inches).  

Hi, we got a new router / network.  I updated the sonos to connect to it, no issues.  my wife an no longer access the sonos play 1 (paired).tried everything, re install, re boot, connecting to sonos via app. nothing works. help!

I have two Sonos five set up as a stereo pair. Both are wall mounted and have not been moved a single time. Not moved or touched. Today I was listening to these days by Connor price when I heard a very obvious crackling sound coming from my left Sonos five at -0:45 till -0:43. everything else plays flawlessly, just that one part that dose not work. I have tried many things like unplugging it and re plugging it. But every time It happened. It is only the left one. It dose not happen when I set it to right on the eq or I turn down the bass from 5 to 0. it is only the left one and only when bass is turned up. I have no idea what it is. Btw both Sonos five are not the same version. They were bought a year apart. The left one dose not have a hexagon pattern / bee hive pattern in the mesh when shining light thorough it. The right one does. The left one is the older one but has never caused any problems. I have no idea what is cousins this problem. Thank you for reading this. Have a nice day.

HelloI have a “home theater” system with an ARC + Sub gen3 + 2 one SL and works perfect.Can I “split” the system and create a new room configuring the 2 one’s as a stereo pair to play music and leave them configured as surrounds speakers when I watch TV?Thank you     

Every time I go to play something, I get a different configuration on my Sonos app…speakers that were paired get unhitched, disappear entirely or (my favorite) cannot be seen by the Sonos app even while my wife’s phone is playing on them through Sonos.  To be fair, the tv speakers seem to work fairly well…only the sub-woofer cuts out every now and then.  This is way beyond frustrating.  About every 2-3 months, I decide that I have too much money sunk in hardware to give up and I go around turning everything off and back on.  I suspect that there is something about software updates that trashes local data, but all I get out of the “tech support” is that I can reboot.  Thanks, geniuses.Has anyone had any better luck?  

I’m having 2 Play 5 Gen 2 and 1 One SL - that makes 4.4W + 3.4W = 7.8WLast week I bought a brother WLAN printer → 0.5W if deep sleep - but wakes up on WLAN - anyhow …So i bought some wireless plugs (0.2 W) and turn Sonos off if not needed …But now I loose always my group - Sonos doesn’t find a solution for 10 years: So: Sonos is consuming lots of idle power and is not willing to support power cycles. End of Sonos? 

I have a Play:1 that cannot pair with my S1 system. I have tried to factory reset and it responds in the correct way ending with a flashing green LED.I can then start the pairing in the S1 controller - the speaker is found and makes the paring sound after pressing Play/Pause + Vol+Then it starts flashing amber for about 20 seconds and then goes to solid amber. It stays there for some minutes during which the Controller times out and says “Not connected”. Eventually the LED goes back to flashing green. I have tried the “alternative setup” using a ethernet cable - same behaviour.Has anyone seen this before and is the a known fix?

I have 2 Sonos Fives connected as a stereo pair. When I move the volume slider up, the volume will stay at that level for about 3 seconds and then automatically decreases to a low level. Other Sonos Rooms playing at the same time with Sonos amps do not drop their volume, only the Room with the Sonia Fives. I have turned the Sonos system off and back on and have rebooted my iPhone 13. Also my Sonos app is up to date. Any help is appreciated.Chris

Hi There,I am getting a bit tired of the Sonos ecosystem. What used to work near flawlessly has become nothing but a nuisance since I added new speakers and was forced to use the S2 App. I have a Play: 1, SonosOne, Play:3, Play:5 (2nd gen), and a Move. The older speakers rarely show up in the app. Last night was a rare occasion where all speakers appeared. I played some music in 2 of the rooms (Play:5 and Move). Five minutes later I wanted to change songs and only the Move and SonosOne were in the app. If I check my wife’s phone, she will see something entirely different. If I use the app for my Windows Desktop, I will see different speakers than what my phone shows. But rarely, and I mean rarely, will all 5 speakers show up. I can still somewhat control them even though they won’t show up. For example, if I was previously playing music on that speaker, I can hit play on the speaker and it will play music. But I cannot change music because they don’t show up in the app. It is so frustr

I purchased a Sonos One SL in April and it has worked pretty reliably until a couple weeks ago. Now, it won’t maintain a connection on the 2.4 or 5ghz band for more than a few hours. I have tried resetting the router and switching to a different channel on the 2.4 ghz band. The Sonos usually sits about 30-40 feet from the router. If I move the Sonos closer to the router, the connection is reestablished. But when I move the Sonos to my bedroom, the connection eventually drops. My router is an Asus AC88U. None of my other devices have trouble connecting to the router.  Could the Sonos have a faulty WiFi radio. I appreciate any help with fixing this problem.
