Hello, I received two play1 and play5 gen1 speakers from a friend and I am trying to listen to music but they do not support AirDrop and my question is whether I need to buy an additional device
Anyone else think the balance option is needed for there .
Why This light indicates that the speaker is powered on and functioning properly. How listen the music on speakers properly. Today indicates lights also represent Solid White Light.
My Play 5 keeps cutting out and it is the closest speaker to the router, there are no problems with the other two speakers I have further away.I went to update to S2 as the app said I need to update. I did this and it tells me my Play 5 is not compatible with S2 and when I try to add it back on to the old S1 system it forces me to update to S2 which is not compatible.I am completely stuck, anyone have any insight?
Please FedEx Ground Economy does not protect these expensive speakers because you cannot pick them at a nearby location when you’re not available during delivery. These speakers are too expensive to be left on the porch when the owner is away. Kindly fix. Thanks
My sonos one alarm keeps glitching, it’s set to just the standard chime and when it plays it just intermittently cuts out whilst playing the alarm? I’ve turned the speaker on and off multiple times but it’s only been doing this very recently. No other issues with any functions at all.
Hi, My Sonos Roam does not respond to my Alexa commands when I request a specific podcast. I had this issue previously so set a fixed IP for the Roam.If I speak to my Alexa devices and ask them to play on my Sonos speakers (Symfonisk and Roam) it does this no problem, so I suspect there is an issue with Sonos/Alexa integration NOT the network...
Hello! we are planning to install 4 speakers ( 2 stereo pairs ) to private gym. There is going to be between 100 to 200 users and is possible to use system by their own sonos app without registering and if they wanna play all music from Spotify or Apple Music is this possible?
I love my Sonos system however there is one issue that I find really frustrating. Every time I open my app when i get home, the volume for my Group has reset all the levels equally. I have different speakers set at different volumes in order to achieve the most even sound possible. It's frustrating to have to constantly reset the levels. This makes it harder to justify buying future Sonos as well because the more speakers I add, the more difficult it becomes. Maybe there is a setting I'm missing here? Please help!
Hi just out of the blue my sonos five keeps jumping , it was perfectly working before . It’s Wi-Fi connection my set up has states it’s excellent . I have tried adjusting the audio delay options but still doesn’t work .
I have an Era 100 speaker with a turntable connected via line in. I group the era 100 with a Play1 and the records play through both speakers as expected (and sounds great). Shortly after one side of the record ends, the 2 speakers become ungrouped. This happens every time. So, when I go to flip the record, I also have to re-group the 2 speakers again. It is quite annoying :(
I just set up my new era 300 and tried to run quick tuning. I received an error that stated that it was not supported on my iPad Pro 12.9” 6th gen.I wanted to do a quick tuning which uses the microphone on the era 300 but there’s no way to initiate it. Has anyone else had this problem and have a possible resolution?
I have a few speakers grouped and only some are playing. The troubling issue is the controller looks as if all are playing but many - including part of a sub/era 100 pair - have no audio. I have stopped and restarted playback with no luck. This occurs while playing a station from Amazon Music (basic access w/Prime membership) and on a Sonos Era 100 + Sub, a Move 1, a Roam 1, a Play:3 and Symphonisk picture frame speakers all grouped. Diagnostics no. 1636438787
So I’m posting this on behalf of a family member who is at an apartment complex and unable to get 2 1st gen Sonos Ones to connect to the “community Wi-Fi” they have. And by that, I mean it’s run by a company called Pavlov Media, and you have your login where you have to add your device‘s MAC addresses into their portal in order for the device to get working Wi-Fi.He used the MAC address under the unit / on the box, but neither Sonos One is able to connect to the Wi-Fi network. I then wondered if this MAC address is the wired connection MAC address? How can we find the Wi-Fi MAC address of the Sonos One if we can’t get the Sonos One to connect to Wi-Fi without it? (i.e. we need to be able to add the Wi-Fi MAC address into the Pavlov Wi-Fi device portal)I found a few other threads on Reddit of people who had trouble getting this Sonos speakers to connect to community Wi-Fi setups like this. No solution from what I can tell.
Error message shows on -apparently- random songs, system plays some songs and artist without problems but some others such as “sofia” from Alvaro Soler and “Build a Fire” from the Magician, Clew &Prov it pauses and shows the message. The songs plays well from the youtube music app and when I cast it to a google speaker. The system that I am currently using is a Sonos one
I have 3 Ikea speakers gen 1 (s2) and an Connect:Amp (s1). I would really love to use all in the s1 app. But I can’t downgrade the speakers. I’ve tried everything:resetting the speakersresetting/rebooting routerupdating aps, delering them, rebooting the phoneBut the downgrade fails again and again. Is it posibly at all? And if it is, what am I doing wrong?
Hi, I have two Ones in a stereo pair in one room and two Symfonisk speakers in a stereo pair in another room.I am choosing playing all as a group. When the music starts, only the right One plays. Then after a few seconds the left One joins in.Then a few seconds after that, only the right Symfonisk joins in and then after another few seconds, the left joins in.Any advice so they'll all play at once from the beginning? Thanks vm.
Hi -I want to set up a pair of Era 300s or Fives at one end of a long room, set up as a stereo pair, specifically for music, while retaining a Beam 2, two Ones and a Sub (Gen 3) at the opposite end of the same room, for home theatre.I'd like to use the home theatre Sub with the audio setup, to augment the bottom end, especially if I opt for the Era 300s.Will the physical position of the Sub (around 20 feet away from the proposed music area) work effectively from an audio perspective? I'd buy another Sub in an ideal world but that's currently a non-starter!Finally, will I be able to easily switch the Sub between the two systems, or will it involve having to bond the Sub to the the individual systems, every time I use them? Not ideal.
I have 5x Sonos Generation 1 (Play 5 & Play 3) and 2 Generation 2 play 5’s. That makes 7 - out of the 7 speakers, 5 are directly connected by LAN cables - the two that are wifi connected are the generation 2 play5’s - in the last week, my entire system is not detected, and I had rebooted my router, reinstalled the sonos app, and reset all 7 speakers one by one. a week later ( yesterday) my entire system has disappeared again. My question is - why is this happening - and why is buying and still using the 1st generation so difficult - it is an investment, each speaker - and when a new version comes up, the app does not support the old. How can a LAN connected speaker not be detected? This is very very frustrating and it says to me, that I cannot depend on Sonos to take care of me when I have been a loyal customer. Who can I turn to for troubleshooting?
Hi SONOS R&D,I didn’t understand why minimum music was so loud lately until I got to this forum and read what the actual problem seems to be. What I ‘d like to say about that is. Just fix it. Speakers simply get useless at the moment since that minimum is so loud.
I have a Sonos connect amp with two KRK Rockit speakers connected to it. Can I pair or add any additional Sonos One speakers with the Sonos connect amp? I’m not referring to grouping them but rather more like a pairing.-Thanks

I have bought New speakers and Updated to S2. One of the speakers is now deemed in compatibleand it blocks updates. Also I can’t disconnect it since my original app now immediately transfer me to S2
I had the Era100 and the Move grouped and now I don’t have that option. Did something change?
So,As described in the topic field, I have a Sub (Gen 3) and can't decide between a pair of Sonos Fives or a pair of Era 300’s for a general music listening set-up.I know how good the Sonos Five is, and I’m very tempted to go down that route but I also I like the idea of additional connectivity of the Era 300 but I do want to ensure that the Sub is going to make up for the perceived lack of bottom-end on the Era 300 - that is the clincher for me.I’m also interested in the spatial audio aspect of the Era 300, and have the space to position them in my Victorian semi to benefit from the wider soundstage but spatial is not a dealbreaker for me right now. I listen to jazz, funk, alt-rock and classical in the main and - important note here - intend eventually running a turntable/hifi-separates system through the proposed set-up - not decided what route to take on that yet but it will definitely happen.I’m after a rich, and engaging sound - it’s not about volume; adding the Sub to my Beam 2/O
