Hi all,Over the last couple of days my system is having issues and I would like to have some feedback on how to fix this. I noticed that two of my play1s didn't play sound when I am watching tv. I have them connected with the playbar. When I tried just listening to music, only 1 play1 and the playbar played music. Then I noticed the following:Within the Sonos app for some reason one of my play 1 (I own 3) vanished from the app. I went through the usual steps of unplugging the power, eventually factory resetting, but now in the app I cannot even add it to my system. There is a repeat that it cannot find my play1 and I need to plug it in. I can assure you it is connected to the electricity and even connected via ether cable to the router. The light is flashing green meaning it is ready to set up. No matter what I do, the app keeps saying that it is disconnected and I need to make sure it is turned on. My play 1 is next to the router, connected via ether cable and plugged in to the electr
Just switched new era 100 on and tapped app. Chose speaker or component which goes straight to a license agreement. When I tap accept nothing happens and it won’t move on. Would love to know what I’m doing wrong. Cheers
Sonos roam does not share music it's playing to other sonos speakers that are on same wifi. The app allows sharing to other speakers but it does not work.
That is it, that is all. Should have spent it on BOSE!!!!!
sonos shut regularly since new update a few months ago
I am experiencing problems with a large part of my Sonos system since yesterday. The issue is that both the Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Sub and the Sonos Ray have stopped working. They disappeared from the system, meaning they went offline, and are not responding. I have tried to add them back, factory reset them, and delete the entire Sonos system before adding them again. When I re-add them, Ray came online again but disappeared after a few hours. The only speaker that is still online is Era 100, which works as normal. All the products are about half a year old. I can also add that they have a good signal strength from the router, so that shouldn't be the problem. I have also tried connecting the Beam with an Ethernet cable, but that didn't work either. Has anyone experienced the same, and what is the solution?
Another crappy BBQ. Thanks guys.
The new app is sluggish, screens are slow to update and it is kludgy with music site interaction. And the interface is not user friendly. I really hope this is being fixed! This has been a very disappointing downgrade!
I can no longer control the volume on one of my speakers. It plays at the same lower volume no matter what the slide control shows on the app. The other speaker’s volume is fine.
Anyone else having this issue with the new Sonos App? I have Sonos Playlists from different services, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Slacker and they used to all play at the same volume level. Yesterday, I was playing music for a pool party and the volume was way loud with some songs and other way quiet. First time I’ve had this issue but it was extremely annoying. Guest were displeased, and neighbors likely offended. Had to keep modifying the volume every two or three songs. Kinda made Sonos unusable. Two questionsanyone else having this issue? Did the old S2 app have a Volume Normalization? (think I remember that but don’t have access to S2 anymore).
Upgraded my Sonos system from Play 1 and Play 3 thinking that newer models would work with the app since they haven’t worked AT ALL since May no matter how many times I attempted to add them back into the system. Boy was I wrong!!!!!! I receive the error message that no products are attached to my network. So I need to add new my speakers back into my internet system. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And once the speakers are added back into the system, they don’t show up in the app. I can tell a speaker to play something by using “Hey Sonos” and it will play but it does not respond to Alexa or Siri. And still does not show up in the system.None of the speakers show up on the app, so of course I can’t group them. I’ve just about had it with this app and am about 1 day from sending this crap back for a refund.
Today I added a Sub Mini to a pair of ERA100s and am surprised by how lackluster this speaker is. Our bedroom is quite small—about 10’x11’—and being familiar with subwoofers, I expected to hear some major bass. The Sub Mini is kind of in a corner and when I brought it out a couple of feet, didn’t hear a difference. I tried different kinds of music, including some electronic dub music that’s heavy on the bass. I also made sure one of the open areas of the speaker was facing forward.Even more surprising, when I made adjustments using the Sonos app on my iPhone, I could hear no difference at all. I turned the Sub Mini up as far as it would go, no difference. I tried to switch the phase from 0 to 180, and this button doesn’t work at all. And then when I removed the Sub Mini from the system while it was playing music, I closed my eyes and waited to hear a difference. But I could discern none. So what is going on? The Sub Mini is working. I verified this by putting my leaning down right in f
Hi,I’m considering purchasing the Sonos 5. My current problem is I own 4 IKEA/Sonos symfonisk speakers which are great however they seem to suffer from network connectivity issues from time to time. My question is whether or not adding a Sonos 5 would fix this problem as it has perhaps more dedicated hardware to address the sonos net issues.I have a very modern Unifi Dream Router and a dedicated network just for Sonos but it still requires being restarted every few weeks or reseting sonos speakers which is a bit annoying. It even seems to occasionally affect 2 of the speakers which are directly connected by ethernet. Is there any evidence to support my theory that adding a Sonos Five would fix this? Thanks
Played as normal and experiensed that my living room setup didn’t get full sound, stopped all other rooms and now I don’t get access ?
Hi,Im having trouble finding the correct MAC number for my two Symfonisk Bookshelf. Also have the lamp, but found the MAC fairly easy on that one. Cant connect them to wifi before ive whitelisted em, so beed MAC from the SN..
Is there any roadmap to support the Play5 G1 in the S2 App? it would be very disappointing to have to maintain two apps and not leverage legacy hardware in more current whole home system.
My Sub Mini doesn’t respond to setting commands
I added a new Victrola Stream turntable to an existing Sonos system in my home. I don't have any problems with this Sonos system, no dropouts, it's reliable (yes, there are app related issues like everyone else but things otherwise work well). All the Sonos speakers are connected via WiFi. The turntable is connected wirelessly to the Sonos system via WiFi. Streaming settings on the turntable currently set to lossless and medium delay. The turntable is in a room with two identical Era 100 speakers. The WiFi access point is also in this room. All devices, speakers and turntable, report strong WiFi signals. The turntable is able to play music on all but one of my Sonos speakers throughout my property flawlessly. No dropouts, no issues.… Except on one of the Era 100 speakers in the room with the turntable. If streaming to that speaker there is at least one dropout per song, sometimes more. As mentioned I have another identical Sonos Era 100 speaker in the room with the turntable, and if th
Howdy. I am trying to find something that will facilitate the following: Current setup: Sonos Amp, Klipsch rock speaker (uses both left and right channel), Klipsh aw-650 (left and right speakers) Let’s call the above ‘pool speakers’ Another aw-650, let’s call this pair ‘hot tub speakers’ Right now i double stack the pool speakers to the sonos amp in the summer when using the pool In the winter I manually rewire by detaching the pool speakers and plugging in the hot tub speakers which works fine. But in the shoulder seasons I want to be able to quickly switch between the two and due to the placement of the sonos box it is a pain to do frequently and is less than quick. I want a simple way to accomplish a quick and easy switch when I want it. I do not want a volume control device or anything that is going to add notable or problematic impedance. I also do not want to buy another sonos amp which would be an overkill expense for my use case since I never want the pool and hot tub speakers
Hi All, I’ve been perplexed with the following problem for the last 6 months, wondering if anyone can help. I have a 12+ unit system (speakers, amps, connects etc) mainly connected via ethernet lan gradually built over 3-4 years. the music is library is on a nas box. My problem is that “all of sudden” most of the speakers are unable to access the music library even when I delete and then re install the NAS music library. I get a “no authorisation” or “cannot access music library” message when I try. if i create a group and include one of the first speakers originally added to the sonos system the music library can be accessed.any ideas on how to solve this annoying issue thanks in advance
Po twardym resecie głośnik na chwilę laczy się z systemem i nie chce się połączyć z siecią WiFi to samo w ustawieniach nie mogę wyswietlcdostepnych sieci WiFi Moderator edit:Google Translate- After a hard reset, the speaker connects to the system for a moment and does not want to connect to the WiFi network, the same in the settings I cannot displayavailable WiFi networks
I haven’t used my Sonos speaker in quite a whilke however I went to use it today and it is not showing up in my Sonos app when I login. When I try and add a new speaker it never shows up in the app. Not discovered. Kinda stumped now. I have unplugged it and moved it top the table here beside me and plugged it back in and gone through the steps on the app again but no luck. Any ideas ?
Hi there - I’m sure I’m one of thousands that’s potentially having the same issue. I recently had to update my rooter and am now trying to connect my 3 speakers back up. I’ve lost a good few hours trying to do something that should be relatively simple. I’ve managed to get them onto the new WiFi but they now don’t come up in the Sonos app. Would someone be able to guide me to the next steps! Thanks
Can I place a Sonos PLAY:1 in my sauna?
Having a horrendous time with Sonos since changing wifi router. Audio constantly keeps dropping out, the app is totally * and keeps coming up with an error message “something went wrong, please try again” whenever I try to switch between Spotify and TuneIn. Alexa able Sonos devices also seem to now struggle to do the most basic of things - like ‘Alexa, play some music”. support is non-existent and when I post my diagnostics numbers they remove it from this feed. any suggestions on what I can do? Other than just get rid of Sonos, which right now is a strong possibility *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
