I am sorry to hear of this issue, its not the kind of experience we would want for customers using our products. I see that you were recently in touch with our technical support, have you see any improvement with the system since this interaction? If so, I would recommend checking if you are on the most recent Sonos software version as there have been updates since you posted your message. To do this, check for updates on the App Store or Google Play Store (depending on your device), and in the Sonos App please try the following steps: Checking for Updates
If the issues continue it may be worth getting back in touch with tech support once more for further investigation.

thanks for getting back to me - nothing really changed after the live chat session as I’d already tried rebooting etc many times.
however I had a Google message telling me to update the sonos app as it was draining my phone battery!
I deleted the app and left it a couple of days, when I downloaded it again I think the updates were on as everything back working as it should, hopefully this has cured it.
