Going to order the Roam online today. Will the wireless charger work for other devices such as iPhone? Unsure whether to spend the extra money on the wireless charger but definitely would if it were able to charge other devices
My sonos five, unable to detect my 5Ghz Wifi. It only appear the 2.4Ghz Wifi. All my other device connected to my 5Ghz Wifi just fine.I try manually type the Wifi network but still unable to connect.
Can the roam charge wirelessly while laying horizontal?
This new feature doesn't seem to work for me with any of my Play1. Works great with my playbar but nothing happens for the Play1 s.
So I’ve connected the roam at home, works fine. 👍So can I now take the roam to work and use it via Bluetooth? (Without Wi-fi)At work it’s showing I’m connected, got a blue light and on my phone it’s connected, but I can’t select any music from my library!! In the setting menu, my email is clouded so I can’t open it!!
I send back the roam speaker. I have a few components as well a move running under S1. Roam is not compatible with S1. Makes no sense to keep it.I guess I will change to another system in the future. Sorry but incompatibility is a no go
Has there been any discussion about adding bluetooth media volume sync to the Move? Aside from the on-the-go / camping charging woes, having to adjust the phone and speaker volume independently is my biggest gripe with the Move speaker. Every other bluetooth speaker/headphones I’ve used can be adjusted on either the phone or the speaker/headphones and the volume adjustment is communicated/synced to the other device. Am I alone in this gripe or do others share this same sentiment? It would be nice to see this feature added to the Move speaker.
Hi Sonos I’m new and love your products. I’ve just bought a beam and one and have now bought a move and 2 further ones as surrounds. The move seems like a great product. Expensive, but suits a number of my needs. My question: How long is Sonos committed to stocking replacement batteries for the Move for? Do you for instance still stock spares for some legacy products?. I don’t want to invest in the speaker now and then find out in 4 years when the battery permanently dies (which it will) that you no longer sell replacements. As a solution, I’d be tempted to buy an additional battery now but am not sure how best to manage this for its lifespan. Should I alternate the batteries e.g swap out each month or just put the 2nd one in in approx 4 years time when the first one dies? I see this is a question a lot of people have alluded to, but haven’t seen it answered as yet. Thanks a lot !
If I play music through Spotify on my TV, it sounds amazing, the sound is balanced pretty well between each speaker and the sub sounds great. But if I pick up my phone and start playing the same songs through the Sonos app, the quality is absolute garbage, it sounds completely drowned out, not nearly as loud despite the volume being the same and the surrounds are horrible, basically just playing the song as if they were unpaired, completely ruining the soundstage if you’re not sitting in the very center of the room.
I got a gen 3 sub recently and have tried to keep it in pristine condition. All I've used on it is the Sonos cloth that comes with it to dust it off. I was shining my phones flashlight last time I cleaned it to make sure I had removed everything, when I noticed a hairline scratch that was about 5 inches long on the top of the sub. This scratch is really only visible when I shine a flashlight near it although I'm wondering if this is common and the finish scratches from just cleaning it with the supplied cloth.Has anyone tried to get rid of scratches like these on the sub with a polish, or should I just leave it as is?
Greetings! My system includes:1 x Connect (ZP90) (connected to LAN via ethernet)2 x Connect:Amp (ZP120) All running S1 with the latest firmware and software. I want to play audio (for example, YouTube video) from a iOS device to a Sonos unit over Wi-Fi. Is this possible?Thank you.
I've read several posts about the Play 5_2nd Gen suddenly having problems due to a defective WiFi card. Although it appears that Sonos has been replacing the defective units (when notified) it still gives me pause. Do I need to be concerned about my two (2) out of warranty Play 5 2nd Gen's developing the same issue? If it is widespread I would hope that Sonos would issue a re-call to replace the units similar to what Microsoft did with the 1st Gen Xbox One units manufactured in a certain lot. Can anyone at Sonos elaborate?
Hello everybody,I have a SONOS home theater system consisting of a SONOS BEAM soundbar and two SONOS ONE speakers and everything works perfectly.I have now purchased a SONOS FIVE and would like to add it to the same room as my home theater system. The problem is that when I reproduce the same sound source in the home cinema (BEAM + 2 ONE) and the FIVE produces an echo or latency between the home cinema and the FIVE very unpleasant, is it possible to correct this? Thanks.
Can you use Amp to connect dual subs to just a stereo pair of Fives without the normally required soundbar as the hub?
Can you add a bluetooth device like a turntable and use the Roam to play on your system?
Originally our house WiFi had both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands using same SID, but we had too many issues with devices using the slower band, so have separated the bands with the 2.4 GHz band retaining the original SID and the 5 GHz band using a different SID. Now we want to move our two Sonos systems over to the 5 GHz band...but don’t see a way to just change it.Please tell me we don’t have to reset the entire system to change to a different WiFi SID?Thanks!
Hello everyone !I’m an owner of a sonos move and since the beginning I have my device which comes out of sleep by tself, at the beginning I thought that it was only when someone in the house open the Sonos app but I realized that even in the bluetooth mode it comes out of sleep during the night.Do some of you have the same issue ? Thankyou for you anwers, bye !
Do Trueplay settings reside on the iPhone itself via S2, or in the speaker itself? Reason for asking is if I set Trueplay up through one iphone but actually use another when listening.
If you unplug one or both Sonos 5’s in a stereo pair or loose power, do you have to redo Trueplay?
Can I play what I am listening to on the Arc and on the Roam simultaneously?
I’m selling my Sonos Play 5 Gen 1. What do I need to do in order for the new buyer to use it?
Hi everyone,I have one Sonos1 (Left) paired with a 1 SL (Right). Am I able to add another 1 SL to this set up as a right channel for a 3 speaker set up or does it have to be done in pairs? Thanks
So it looks like actual Roam units are now available and have been sent to reviewers:https://www.theverge.com/22368487/sonos-roam-bluetooth-speaker-review-featureshttps://www.engadget.com/sonos-roam-review-130039811.htmlGenerally positive reviews.Maybe preorders will ship soon since they clearly got a bunch from the factory.
There are a few things which need to be added to this app immediately (read on for my questions): First, different model speakers need to be able to be grouped in the same room. Sonos apparently claims that this is to prevent sound quality issues. We have some rooms with multiple of the same speaker and some rooms with multiple of different speakers and the sound quality difference that I can discern is precisely zero. Context - we have on the third floor a large room multiple play1 speakers. To stream directly to that room, I added a sonos one (which you have to do, because the system won’t allow you to stream directly to a play1). To my utter annoyance, you can’t pair these two different types of speakers to work together. So is it because of sound quality issues or just because sonos hasn’t bothered? If it is because of some imperceptible phantom drop in sound quality, allow me to confirm after exactly no market research that no one cares about that s***. Second, there needs t
Hi, I have a Sonos Move. I’ve noticed when I turn the volume up to 58% The low-end cuts out completely and it only plays through its tweeter.. it also will randomly make sounds like it’s clipping about 55% as well.. has anyone experienced problems like this with their move, and do you know of a fix?
